I like this crate. It's got lots of bells and whistles. The matching bed, foldability, wheels, a handle, and a bag if you want to use it. The reasons why it doesn't get 5 stars: The garage door is sometimes a bit finicky. Not too bad, but can take more than one try to open or close. Note that the crate does not have as much stability with the "garage door" open. The crate is very stable when all doors are closed. The hubby has put the crate in the cargo area so that I can only use the garage doors, so I cannot speak as to the other doors at this time. The crate does rattle when you are driving, but a completely wire crate will rattle much more, I am sure.
That said, I've been using it for my rambunctious Samoyed puppy for 2 months (10 months old to 1 year old now) and it serves it purpose bringing him to grooming, classes, shows and vet visits. And, to make the hubby happy, the color matches the interior of the vehicle, so it was woth it getting a color that makes him happy. All in all, pleased with the item.

Review of Loving Pets Coop-Cup with Wire Hanger Pet Bowl
Maybe if you have a super calm dog that doesn't get excited in a kennel this could be useful. I was looking for something to keep my dog from spilling the water bowl on the ground in the kennel and figured something raised would help. The idea is not bad it's just not made to withstand ANY kind of jostling. Even attaching it or putting the bowl in or out is fickle and results in falling off half the time. I might try attaching the holder with zip ties or something, but as it's made it doesn't work in my book.
Amazon sent me a new one because of this one cracking and the new one is also cracking so that is 2 in a row that have failed.

I got this for chicken grit and the bowl split?? There was no reason for it to split, nothing froze and it was just some chicken grit and the chickens pecking at the grit. Now I need to find a bowl to fit the hanger, I don't have any of the packaging. Very disappointed in the cheap quality.Amazon sent me a new one because of this one cracking and the new one is also cracking so that is 2 in a row that have failed.

I had hoped this would fit in my standard birdcage that is designed to hold 10 oz steel food dishes. Cups are slightly narrower than the standard cups I have. Shipping is too expensive to send back so I have to modify to fit. Not a huge deal but if you are buying for your birdcage's preexisting dish holders look elsewhere. Otherwise they are fine. They are metal cups.Honest reviews on Loving Pets Coop-Cup with Wire Hanger Pet Bowl
These stainless steel bowls work well in the cages for my large parrots, can be sterilized in dishwasher for safe healthy feeding.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Loving Pets Coop-Cup with Wire Hanger Pet Bowl
This is so great for my dogs. It saves on spillage and room. I highly recommend it . Not only for water but dry food also. And it fits all my cages so far. I have three. And they are all different styles and sizes. Of course my dogs appreciate it also.Wednesday, August 27, 2014
Reviews of Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Toy
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $13.86
Today's Bonus: 65% Off

We own several of the Nina Ottosson dog toys, and my dogs love them all. The Dog Magic is the best one to start with if your dog is new to puzzle toys; it's easy for the dog to figure out. You hide treats in the bone-shaped depressions under the plastic bone-shaped cups, and the dog has to figure out how to dislodge the cups to get to the treats.
The trick to puzzle toys is to start easy and work your way up. Start by placing treats in the depressions and allowing the dog to get the treats (don't use the cups yet.) Your dog will figure this out pretty fast, then you can begin using the cups. Place the cups across the depressions the wrong way, so they are easy to dislodge. Once the dog is confident doing this, start placing the cups in the depressions the correct way and let the dog figure out how to remove them. You can make it more difficult by hiding treats under only a few of the cups for the dog to sniff out.
If your dog ever gets bored, or can't seem to figure it out, help them by encouraging them to move the cups, or backtrack to the previous step in learning the puzzle. Every dog learns differently one of my dogs picks the cups up in her mouth, while the other removes them with his paws.
I like the plastic Nina Ottosson toys because they are so easy to clean. The cups fit right in the top rack of the dishwasher, and the base is easy to hand wash in the sink. A note of caution: this is an interactive toy only, and not meant to be left out for the dog to play with by himself. The plastic is too soft to withstand heavy chewing and would be destroyed in no time. I keep mine out of reach of the dogs when we're not playing the games together.
My dog is alone every day for at least 10 hours, so I love to leave him food based toys to play with. I was so excited to see this line of new puzzles to try although the price kind of put me off. But when it comes to my pets, no expense spared, right?! I liked the fact that this one was available in plastic (the Brick), making it easier to clean and less likely to absorb doggie slobber.
Unfortunately, the puzzle is just too easy. It took him maybe a couple tries to figure it out at the most difficult level, and he can now empty the entire thing in just a few minutes (my video clip shows him doing it, and not even at a very fast pace). This is in comparison to other treat filled toys that can keep him busy literally for more than an hour.
I'm going to try and modify the toy by trying to find something more challenging to put in between the sliding pieces, like heavy blocks or fishing sinkers, but I expect it will only slow him down slightly. I do think though that it's a nice alternative to just putting down a bowl of kibble, I can put my small dog's entire meal into the spaces it has, and certainly can help slow down a fast eater as well.
I've since also gotten the Tornado, it was in a local store for only $30 and since my dog did seem to at least enjoy the Brick I figured it was worth getting and hopefully would be more difficult. I would say it was maybe only slightly more difficult, and only came with 3 of the white bone "blocks" used to increase the difficulty, I use several more from the Brick toy which thankfully are the same size to make this one harder, but it still takes my dog a fairly short time to finish with it.
If you are just looking for a fun toy, maybe something different to put their daily kibble in, and don't care about keeping them occupied for an extended amount of time, you might enjoy these puzzles. If you are looking for toys that will help occupy your dog while away from home, this is a fairly limited toy.
Check some of my other reviews for other toys that I recommend and that are much cheaper as well!
UPDATE: Recently I also got the Twister puzzle from this same line, and I have to say, this one actually is a bit challenging and takes him awhile to get the food out. Instead of the bones easily coming out when he paws at them, he has to pull these bones out in order to slide the tiles. The tiles are also in a circle, so he has to slide them in order, rather than just randomly pushing them as is the case with the other toys. So it takes him much longer to get his treats out with that game. However, I'm not sure I'd recommend it for all dogs, as you are basically encouraging them to chew on the bones, and he also will take the entire toy, flip it over, and pull out the black rubber feet on the bottom which to him seem the same as the bones on the top! Problem is, those are very small and could be easily swallowed. Shelties (at least the ones I have owned) are just not really into chewing non-edible items (most won't even chew plain rawhide bones) so this is not a big issue for me. But it could be a bit safety issue for another dog, and particularly I would not use that toy with a large dog at all, at least not without supervision. We've had this toy a bit longer now, and he no longer flips it over and it does still take him a reasonable amount of time to empty (still pretty darn fast though, and kids in particular love to watch him solve the puzzle!)
As with all puzzle toys, the trick to teaching your dog is to start easy and work your way up. Without using the cups, place treats in the bone-shaped depressions and let the dog see them and get the treats. Then place treats in the round depressions, slide the blocks so they are only half-covering the treats, and let the dog get them. Once your dog is confident sliding the blocks, cover the treats all the way and allow the dog to slide the blocks to get to the treats. Finally, you can replace the cups in the middle bone-shaped depressions and let the dog figure out the entire thing. You can make it more difficult for your dog by hiding treats under only a few of the blocks for them to sniff out.
My dogs have lots of experience with puzzle toys and they figured this one out very quickly, so I like that you can adjust the difficulty to make it different every time. One of my dogs uses her mouth to dislodge the cups and slide the blocks, while the other likes to use his paws to move them. Part of the fun in these games is learning more about your dog as you play!
I prefer the plastic Nina Ottosson toys to the wooden ones because they are so easy to clean. The cups go in the top rack of the dishwasher, and the base can easily be handwashed in the sink. A word of caution: These toys are not meant to be left out for the dog to play with by himself. The plastic is too soft for determined chewing, and could easily be destroyed. Mine are placed out of the dogs' reach when we are not playing the games with the dogs.
It took my border terrier 1 day to figure out the basic principles of this puzzle, and it now takes him less than a minute to get all the treats out. Granted, border terriers are probably above average on the dog intelligence scale, but I have a feeling most dogs would quickly figure it out. But I could be wrong, I only know that for us, the challenge of the puzzle lasted about a day. Like an earlier reviews suggested, I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to make it more difficult. Also going to look at the Nina Ottosson Casino game, which looks more challenging.

Honest reviews on Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Toy
This is the first interactive puzzle I purchased for my dog, a 6 month old mixed breed. She figured it out immediately at the most difficult setup, which was fun for us. However, she also quickly damaged the plastic bones and quickly pulled off the easily removable plastic non-skid feet. She could have easily swallowed it, as it's a small piece. The toy definitely isn't meant for hours of play (unlike the advertisement), and should not be used without supervision.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Nina Ottosson's Interactive Dog Toy

Reviews of K&H Cuddle Cube Pet Bed

A great bed at a great price! We bought the small for our 5 lb maltipoo. a few comments:
* very well made, non-slip bottom
* size would work well for dogs up to 20 lbs
* our little dog loves the extra room
* color is nice, true brown that blends well with home furnishings
* K&H makes high quality products, I always look for that brand!
The K&H cuddle bed is so soft, with high sides. Izzy likes to lay with her head up a bit so that's perfect. She's a nester, likes to dig around a bit, be able to roll and wiggle, and this bed is perfect for her to snuggle down into. The material is soft and the bed is nice and fluffy. As you can see from the video, she fits well into the bed.
Update: we've had this bed over a month and Izzy loves it. She spends about 75% of her time there and 25 on the couch, by choice. She loves to curl up in it, or stretch out. The bed has stayed fluffy for us, no issues there. It does shed a little. I have a mini schnauzer who doesn't shed but her bed does:) I'm very impressed with this bed and how much she likes it.
I'm updating this 3/9/12 as the bald bed is in trash. While I had no issues with the stuffing, Izzy likes to dig in her bed. The fuzz flew everywhere, trails of brown fuzz and the cover became bald. Now, I don't really blame the bed for this, bad schnauzer! but it is something to keep in mind if your dog likes to dig or knead before laying down. I have switched to a smooth covered bed to try and minimize the damage she does.

I have a 12 lb. havanese and this bed is quite large for him, but in a good way. There's plenty of room for him to move around and change positions. This bed is quite thick and soft so dogs that like to burrow and snuggle should love this. The removable cover is easy to take off, wash, and put back on. The bottom of the bed also has a textured rubber bottom which helps to keep the bed stationary on a smooth, hard floor. I do wish the cover was waterproof but overall, this was a great buy and I am very pleased with my purchase.Best Deals for K&H Cuddle Cube Pet Bed
This is the BEST dog bed I have ever purchased!! I have a miniature dachshund (who are known for their borrowing) and she absolutly LOVES her new dog bed!!! I just received it yesterday and she has been laying in it ever since. I put her blanket on top of it and she goes underneath and just sinks in. If you are looking for a great quality bed for a really great price I highly recommend buying this dog bed. My dog is 15 pounds and I purchased the medium, it is the perfect size and she has plenty of room. Another great thing is the cover comes off and is machine washable. I am definitely buying another one to put in the bedroom.Honest reviews on K&H Cuddle Cube Pet Bed

All my dogs love this bed! I mean love it. I myself was a little disappointed when I pulled it from the box, I first thought what a cheap crappy bed. At first look I thought someone made it at home using carpet from the car!! But it's was a great price so I figured oh well, throw it on the floor and see what happens. After hours of sniffing my 47 lb mix dove in and sunk down right away! I figured oh great it will be flat in about 3 hours. To my great surprise, it's a true cuddle bed, it forms around the dog to give them a nice all around cubby hole feel. This bed is 28x28 a medium. The cover does look a little cheap until you touch it, it's pretty thick and plush feeling. The little drops of ?? to keep it from sliding are too small to work on wood floors. The zipper opens around 2 of the sides, so it's easy off & on. The inner white cover is a thin woven type polyester, looks like tear resistant, not water. The fill is an interesting hair like fill green in color kinda all madded up inside, which you can go in and pull apart to fluff up bed if you prefer, though the dog might not be so happy with you. The whole bed is polyester made in China, politics aside, it's a fantastic bed. I can't keep my 70 lb collie out of it!!! My other dog who I bought this for is constantly trying to kick the other dog out! It's so funny to see my large 70 lb dog in this bed. For a medium size it's quite roomy for a curled up lab. I do think at some point it will need a refill in the filling, which I'm sure you can't buy, but at that time the bed will have way out lived the cost, so I'll buy another. I am actually considering buying a larger one for my other dog!! Even though she has the, Dog Whisperer by Cesar Millan Blue Microtec Gel Fill Orthopedic Napper, another TOP NOTCH bed for older dogs with hip problems. Dog's just seem to love that sink down cuddle up feeling!! If you have more than 1 dogget more than 1 bed, really, I mean it really. Remember bean bag chairs??? This is a bean bag upscaled for dogs, best description I can give. Enjoy!! Oh and both these beds are from Petco, Amazon is far more reasonable in price. For the price you can't go wrong

Snoozer Pet Safety Harness Without Adapter, X-Small Review
The Snoozer dog car harness is, in my opinion, the best made and safest harness you can get for your dog. It is extremely well constructed, and is made of quality fabric with a real seat belt strap and seat belt buckle built in. You can clip the harness buckle directly into the buckle attach point in your vehicle, and your dog is restrained just like the humans in your car!
The one downside to this harness, for my dog in particular, is the fact that the way the harness is designed, the seat belt strap comes down his back and over his hips in a upside down 'V' shape, and when he's clipped in to the car it keeps his hips in a "fixed", upright and uncomfortable position for him. He unfortunately can not use this harness because it just causes him too much pain in his arthritic hips. This is no fault of the harness, in a younger dog that doesn't hurt it would be perfect because it *does* keep them straight forward, upright and close to the seat. In the case of an accident, the dog would stay in the seat and not be flung all over the vehicle.
I'm so sad I can't use this for my dog because it is so well designed and safe. I highly recommend this for any dog that does not have lower back problems or arthritic hips.
With a little work I think this is the best belt yet.

Nice sturdy harness but the strap to connet to the seatbelt is short will need an extension.Best Deals for Snoozer Pet Safety Harness Without Adapter, X-Small
I purchased the first two based on their size recommendations and then returned them cause I couldn't even begin to get my little dogs in them. Next size up worked. But it is really lacking a connection for a leash so you have to hook the harness up by the seatbelt connector. Not good as it gets under the dogs tail. Well, probably not good for them. But works in the car.Honest reviews on Snoozer Pet Safety Harness Without Adapter, X-Small
Bought this after trying others. It may not be as comfortable as others but if you think about it the first few times you wore a seat belt it was uncomfortable. The only complaint I have is in the beginning the straps over shoulders and her hips straps came loose all the time. The straps in the buckle come loose easily. Other people have mentioned this. So I wasn't surprised. I had to tie knots and cut straps to make it secure. When you cut the straps you must burn the ends or they will unravel. Yes, it was work but now I'm happy with the results. We bought a doggie seat for her [she's only 10 LB.] so she could see out the window. Of course, the buckle attachment to the seat belt didn't work together [so I had to make adjustments on that too] but she was very secure when I was done and thank God. My husband had to make an abrupt stop and she flew forward but the belt stopped her flying out of the seat. I'm not saying it's perfect. There was a time she managed to fall out of the seat on the right side and was hanging backwards but she wasn't hurt and I just put her back in the seat. I need to shorten the strap attached the the seat buckle maybe 1 or 2 inches to avoid that from happening again. She doesn't seem to mind the belt at all. She can stand, lay down, on the right or left or prop her elbow on the edge of the seat while enjoying the ride. She gets excited when I put it on her she knows it means a car ride. With a little work I think this is the best belt yet.

This harness seems very strong and secure, however it does not currently work very well for my dog. I have a squirmy 7 pound mix with a very narrow/bony chest and thin neck. Even when tightened completely around her chest she still manages to squirm one or both of her front legs out of it. Also, since this harness is not designed for use in or out of the car (with a D-ring for a leash attachment) it is inconvenient during potty breaks on long car trips to get her in and out of the harness. Also, with a squirmy dog like mine this poses a bit of a safety risk. For a calmer dog who is content to be put in and out of a harness (and for a dog who has a bit more meat on the front portion of his/her body) this harness seems like it would work great. Since the quality seems really good I am keeping mine because I am hoping my rescue dog will fatten up and calm down.Sunday, July 13, 2014

These coats are very well made, they are thick, the fleece side is very soft and warm. I have two pit bulls, and they won't go outside in the rain or snow without their coats. Instead, they sit by the door and look at their coats until we put them on.
Our dogs do run around an play in their coats, but not as rough as they normally do. I think the coats restrict them a little. But, the coats have no evidence that they are damaged. We bought these coats toward the end of last winter and have only used them a few times this winter. All in all, probably 2 months of regular use.
The coats are very east to get on. Before these, the dogs had hoodies which were difficult and frustrating to get on and off. With these, it doesn't matter if they are sitting, standing, even walking I can get them on and off!

These coats are very well made, they are thick, the fleece side is very soft and warm. I have two pit bulls, and they won't go outside in the rain or snow without their coats. Instead, they sit by the door and look at their coats until we put them on.

Ordered two of these coats since the price was very good. I have two bully breeds about 50lbs. They seem to fit ok. They were in between sizes (Med and Large). I opted for the large and just dealt with it being a tad to long. The medium would not have hit the neck/girthBest Deals for Zack & Zoey Nor'easter Blanket Pet Coat - Red
This is the 2nd blanket I bought for my German Short Hair. She plays hard with labs larger than her,and this blanket stays put! I really like the reflective tape,as she sometimes ventures toward the road at night. The fact that is is reversable is like having 2 blankets. She got a small rip in it probably from barbed wire on the farm and it has not frayed at all. I haven't washed it yet, but I believe it will hold up well. Mud wipes right off the nylon shell. I feel this is a great valuse for the money.Honest reviews on Zack & Zoey Nor'easter Blanket Pet Coat - Red
I bought this coat for my 9-lb. short-hair chihuahua mix, because she hates going out in the rain and snow. I thought this would keep her a little warmer and drier. Unfortunately, the fit is not right for her. She has a longer body, so I ordered the small. The length is fine, but the rest is too big. The front part that goes around her chest is what makes it unusable for her. It comes down in front of her legs making it difficult for her to walk. It's too bad, because the quality of the coat is good.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Zack & Zoey Nor'easter Blanket Pet Coat - Red
Something I would recommend is to visit the vendor's actual website before purchasing this dog coat. Amazon does not post their actual sizing chart, so I mistakenly purchased a large for my 9 month old Weimaraner who actually needs an extra-large. Other than, that, the velcro closures work really well and he doesn't seem to mind it much, when we can get it on him.Saturday, July 5, 2014

Overall I would have to say this door is a well thought out design. That being said, I would like to meet the boob (engineer) that designed the thru-wall mounting screws!First off the threaded inserts that accept the thru-wall screws are only press fit into the frame. Mechanically, this is poor design, the inserts are only being held in by friction from a relatively thin piece of aluminum. It would be a much better design if each side of these pieces had a shoulder on each side of them. Two popped out during installation and had to be JB Welded back into place! The other brain-fart comes in the form of the actual screws. They are designed to be used on walls of different thicknesses so in order to fit it to your wall you may need to cut them to length, fine. The problem is the screw heads thread onto the rods, when tightening the screws the area with the least resistance is the screw heads. The heads actually spin instead of the stud spinning and threading into the other side, eventually the stud inteferes with the head causing your screwdriver to cam-out! VERY FRUSTRATING!!! This problem also can be easily solve if the company provided a thread locking compound. I was out of loktite so JB Weld to the rescue again. These problems, although minor, added a lot of unexpected time to the install. Please note, I am NOT bashing this product, I actually would recommend it. The design of the flaps is far superior to the standard Johnson type flap we had. I think the door will serve us well for many years to come, I just wish they would correct these minor flaws. If you do buy it make sure you've got some thread locking compound and an adhesive suitable for those inserts should the come off, good luck!
Once the door is installed it is truly the best. Mine has been in use for about a year now. Because of the location of my door I have always had problems with the wind blowing it open. No more. This door seals and seals well. Strong winds do not move it. It also insulates much better than any other door that I have had. 101 degree heat or below freezing, the door does not 'leak'. I no longer feel a large temperature difference near the dog door. In the past I have used single piece flaps and two part flaps, flaps with magnets, flaps with 'brushes'. None have sealed or held up as well as this door.
Other doors usually have screws holding the flaps in place. Over time the movement of the flaps causes the screws to loosen or fall out. The unique hinge system on the Endura door eliminates this problem. So far, the flaps are not showing the wear that I have seen in other doors: no warping, no cracking, no stiffening or discoloration.
Both of my dogs are used to dog doors. The double flap Endura did not take much adjustment. I removed some of the magnets for the first couple of days, to reduce the amount of pressure required to open the door. I quickly (day three or four) replaced all the magnets in both flaps and the dogs fly through with no issues.
Finally, I am impressed with the locking cover. I have had a dog open a 'locked' Johnson Pet Door in the past, the metal 'locking' cover just bent and popped out of the frame. Neither of my dogs have been able to come through the Endura when I put the cover on.
I have recommended the product to freinds, and will continue to do so.
The door clearly gets five stars for being the best ever door once installed. If I were to rate only the installation, it would get a three. Installation of this door is average difficulty compared to others that I have done. I can't let installation influence my overall rating, though, as I don't think you can find a better door for durability, insulation and security.
I was resigned to complicated electronic solutions, which would require our dogs to each wear collars. We'd also have to maintain batteries in collars and in the electronic door system. And they are not foolproof, if you read the reviews. Some of these electronic dog doors cost over a thousand dollars! Yikes.
I resisted buying these things, and came across this dog door. Sounded great. The larger sizes with double flaps can be costly, but the medium to small size was more reasonable. In addition, the description promised a high-quality construction with solid materials. I've had other dog and cat doors, and this alone would be worth it; just tired of crappy plastic stuff.
This is a great door. Installation was a breeze. And the doors themselves are very solid. I would call them commercial grade. I was very pleased when I pulled them out of the box and saw how substantial they were. Any plastic is not structural.
We bought the double flap. This means instead of one frame with a flap and one frame without a flap, you get two frames with flaps, essentially duplicates except one side accepts the attachment screws, and should be used on the outside (you don't want a thief to be able to pry off the screw hole covers and expose the heads of the phillips screws allowing removal).
The door works great. The flap mechanism is substantial and effective. They secure with a firm "click" of the magnets. I feel like my door is still secure and weatherproof, even with these things on. And the appearance is of quality, not some cheap plastic.
About going in and out of the door: If your dogs are the least bit reticent, it will take some training. The magnetic closure is secure and it takes a significant push to free the flap. Twice that with double flaps. But with diligent training I think any dog will take to the door. Lots of treats and help until they go in and out without a second thought.
About cats: A big deterrent for buying those electronic doors, in addition to the collars and batteries and expense and maintenance, was the reviews that said smart cats still find a way to get out! Either they hang out at the door until the dogs go through and take advantage of the opportunity, or they learn to signal the dogs to open the door for them! Yikes again. Here I could have purchased an expensive plastic electronic assembly and found out it still let the cats out. Thank you reviewers for pointing this out.
Cats will not get out this door, unless they are tigers. It's just too hard to push through; especially the double flap. Indeed, the box or instructions state 'not for cats'. (Keep in mind we are using the large size 10 with double flaps. Your experience might vary for smaller doors with single flaps and single-minded, strong cats.)
Anyhow, our cat hasn't even attempted to get out. I am very pleased with this door and recommend it highly. Even without cats I would get this door. It sort of puts the others to shame.
Note: A reviewer said they had problems aligning the screws. Well, I've had to align screws hundreds of times, in more difficult scenarios; this one just wasn't a big deal. Put the door on a flat surface, like a workbench (not strung between two saw horses, which is how you cut the hole). Try using a flashlight, shining a light into the hole, adjusting so the screw hole appears lined up, and slide the screw in straight. We didn't even have to use the flashlight, just squared the doors more or less equally on the opening and the screws found their holes readily. It was straight forward.
The door itself is pretty standard, I do like that it is metal and not plastic as it's easier to clean. The flap is still in great shape and we were going through flaps for the pet safe doors (several versions) about ever 6 mo as our dogs like to charge through the door. I was concerned about the wind, this was by far our biggest complaint in other brands, we get 60+ mph wind gusts regularly and it would always come open, not this one. Also we have not had a single mouse in the house since purchasing this door, which leads me to believe they were getting in through the dog door.
Instalation was not an issue for us, we had to re-cut the hole we had existing in our metal insulated door and it was all pretty easy, took about 2 hrs to get it re-cut and fully installed. It's taller and more narrow that most other doors so we specifically had to make sure this door would be larger than our existing hole. I think the only down side we've had is that my 2 year old (and 4 year old) can easily fit through the large size and often head outside to play without telling me first. All in all I would very much recomend this product.

I have used dog doors for many years, and have always installed them myself. This is the fifth different brand/style of dog door that I have used. It is not the easiest to install, nor the most difficult. I will say that it would be easier to install the door with a helper. I did it alone. Lining up the long screws proved to be quite a challenge, but do-able. You should be somewhat handy, or get the help of a freind that is.Once the door is installed it is truly the best. This was the best investment in pet doors we have ever made. We've had this door for almost 2 years now and I'm sure it has more than paid for itself in terms of energy savings as well as replacement parts. The door itself is pretty standard, I do like that it is metal and not plastic as it's easier to clean. This is the best dog door I could find. We've had ours for almost 2 years and it works great. It was easy to install. We have 3 large doogs who use this door a lot in all weather conditions and it has held up very well...really no significant signs of wear or indicators that it would fail to function or need any parts replaced. The flap is much thicker than most other doors I've seen and it withstands the weather well. Be sure to measure accurately. The first door we ordered was too big (my fault), but the vendor shipped the right one quickly and issued a refund when they recieved the first one no problem. The Endura flap door costs a bit more than most others, but it is a great product.Sunday, May 4, 2014

I'm sick of hearing about all the poison the chinese put in dog food so as to make a buck. It was truly refreshing to find a product that contains nothing from CHina and the dog loves it and it's good for him. What a deal!!

We have three dogs who are very demanding, and discerning, diners. As such, we are forced to provide the highest quality, and apparently tastiest food and treats available if we hope to keep them happy and quash any thoughts of a hunger strike. Fortunately, we've finally found the one treat that they 1) never tire of, and 2) prefer to all others. The size of the treats are not too small and not too big for smaller dogs, and a 12 oz bag seems to last almost two weeks for three dogs getting treats several times a day. I'm not a fan of venison, but these treats smell good to me, like regular jerky that you would buy in the store smells, only better. I'm almost tempted to eat one myself!Honest reviews on Real Meat Chicken & Venison Jerky Dog Treats
I'd actually give these treats 4.5 stars, only because my dog happens to like the Real Meat Fish and Venison version a bit better. I'm training my dog not to chase cats when we are out walking. These treats get her attention and get her to focus on the treat and me and not the cat. They are thin, maybe 1" or so square (although some are larger) and can easily be broken (ripped) into smaller pieces so they can go a long way. They aren't greasy to the touch which is nice as well and stay fresh in the reclosable bag.I've tried other brands but these work better for getting her attention and getting her to come when called. I will definitely purchase them again.

I'm always on the lookout for grain-free treats for our dogs. Couldn't find these in stores, so ordered online. They are perfect. The 'consumer' in me would have liked them to be a bit bigger since I have larger dogs, but I am happy with them. Took the package to our local pet store and now they order them. I know, I know, cheaper to buy online, but our dogs like going to the pet stores and checking out what they are getting. That to me is worth the extra dollar that I pay in store. :)Friday, March 14, 2014

Zorro is a 9 lb Chihuahua and the small fits him perfectly. If your chi is 4 or 5 lbs I would recommend the Xtra small. I love the colors. Bought a couple of these, in X-Large and Large for my golden retriever who is on medication so her hair hasn't grown back from her summer cut last year. The Large is too snug, but the neck on the extra large stretches so much that the sweater slips too far down on her body. (And this dog does not have a thin neck!) I managed the problem by sewing the neck so it's much narrower (two inches off each side) and now it fits okay, but it would have been better to have been designed that way.Monday, February 17, 2014

It's a well made mat, not terrible to look at, washes up well. Built like a tank it should last an age. Be nice if they'd offer a more decorative fabric. We use it under the litter box because (a) the cat misses sometimes and (b) the dog has been known to er embellish. It's not totally waterproof but nearly. I didn't give it five stars because it's a bit spendy and I'm still sore about it not being a package of two at the price. I could've sworn it said package of two. Love this stroller. I use it for my dog when we go to the shore and walk the boardwalk. I take her in and out of the stores in this and no one minds. Sturdy and attractive....arrived quickly and easy to assemble. Folds nicely to put in the car. Definitely recommend this.
The quality seems good. The two cup holders are convenient and there is even a small basket just under the bed. Easy to navigate and I really like that there are 2 safety clips that can be attached to your dog's harness. I find the mesh ventilators in the front and back very useful. I like that I can leave them either unzipped or zipped up. Plenty of room to aerate.
I only gave it 4 stars b/c the handlebar cushion (feels like Styrofoam) ripped when it was delivered. This made me wonder about the quality and durability of the material. But I decided to keep it because it was so heavy and my dog, recovering from a surgery, needed it right away. Although it can be folded, it is definitely not for carrying due to its weight. Overall, I would recommend the product.

She enjoyed the vacation as much as we did. She enjoyed looking at all the scenery and people without getting tired out. She got a lot of attention because she was so cute riding in it. I worked perfectly!Best Deals for Guardian Gear Roadster II Stroller for Dogs and Cats
This is the second stroller I've purchased for my little prince and I love it! Super spacious for him (he's 10lbs) and the cup holder is very convenient ! Awesome product!Honest reviews on Guardian Gear Roadster II Stroller for Dogs and Cats
The stroller has been very useful for my 12-year dog who can't walk as much as she used to. It took her no time to get used to it. She absolutely loves it.The quality seems good.
