I totally agree with Natalie's review. I also have a pug and hardwood floors. My pug loves to cuddle in to the sides and rest her head up on the side like a pillow, or stretch all the way out (the 26" size bed has plenty of room for her to stretch out). The color is a light sage green with light tan interior, just like the photo. My dog is elderly and a little arthritic so the heating element is a nice touch in the winter, it provides a small amount of gentle heat, just enough to take the coolness out of the floor below her and to give her old bones a little boost in the winter. I don't use it all the time and keep the cord tied up when not in use. You could probably zip it inside the bed cover too. The flaw with this bed, as Natalie's review pointed out, is that while the cushion is soft and nice (the heating element doesn't make it hard inside), it squishes down thin and there is no foam bottom on this bed so the result is very little cushioning between my arthritic old dog's body and the hardwood floor. I was hoping that with the foam sides the bottom below the cushion would be foam but it is just fabric. However, I solved this issue by ordering another pet bed, this one basically just a rectangular piece of orthopedic foam with a washable cover, and placing it under this heated oval bed. Voila, the ideal combination of cushioning, warmth, and snuggle-ability. I ordered the Terra Pet orthopedic foam bed from Amazon for this purpose, it was relatively inexpensive and eligible for Prime, and it has a washable cover and a non-skid bottom which helps it stay put on my hardwood floors. One end of the Terra Pet has a little white rounded "pillow" built in, but I got the 36" x 23" size Terra Pet bed and so this 26" oval heated dog bed sits perfectly on the flat brown part of the Terra Pet bed. My pug is snoring away quite loudly now in her fancy heated bed as I type.

My 9 year old dog has bad hips. The first day I got this, I turned it on for about 20 min then called her in to see her new bed. She stepped carefully into it, sniffed it, turned around a couple times then plumped her butt down and didn't move for the next 18 hours!! She loves it!!

I was elated to finally find a dog bed completely covered in a microfiber material, without spending $150 so I did some research on this specific product, and made up my mind this was the perfect bed based upon other reviews, so I ordered the 31X24" sleeper and was I ever disappointed!!!

1. The actual dimensions of the bed I received were only 29X22 at the widest points.

2. There is NO padding underneath this bed, so unless you use the supplied pillow, your pet might as well be sleeping on the floor.

3. The removable pillow is extremely plush and provides no support.

4. The foam walls are VERY flimsy and the bed does not hold its shape.

5. I did not even attempt to test the heater since I'm already so disappointed.

6. The fabric has a very nasty greasy feel to it as though it needs to be washed before first use.

This bed was immediately placed back in the shipping box and returned to Amazon for a refund.

The measurements indicate this is a bigger bed then it really is. It is about the perfect size for our 15lb Sheltie, but I was hoping our dog that is 50lbs could use it. The larger dog only fits it if she is curled in a very tight ball. It is lightly padded. Just okay. Nothing to get excited about. Our Sheltie does use it when the nights are cold. It gets warm without getting overly hot.

Perfect size for him and he sleeps through the night on this. At first I was concerned because when I plugged it in to let it warm up to see how hot it got it didn't seem that warm. But my elderly puppy loves it and that's all that matters. When ordering my biggest concern was if the size was right for him. This is perfect for a 25 to 30 lb animal.

Was very surprised, equally as disappointed, to see 2 of the little heart charms fall off the necklace, within the first week-10 days of puppy wear. :(

Funny thing is that my puppy does a lot of sleeping at this stage, which wouldn't warrant excessive playing (motion filled activity) to have dislodged these little hearts into falling off so easily.

So, I am forced to give this necklace a 2 star rating, for defective craftsmanship, & hope that the manufacturer will read this, and improve their work. Better glue would avoid this problem..." Crazy Glue" is an excellent formula. Just saying.

The following is a combination of opinion and some factual matter.

The telescoping sections don't meet in the outside wall of my house which uses 2" x 6" (actually 1.5" x 5.5") studs.

The molded plastic which appears to be ABS is a bit thin. The outside section broke away from the house in -40 degree weather. I have a "dog house" built onto the outside of my house which is open on both ends with a plastic strip door on the outboard end and this pet door on the inboard end to keep winds

out. This door replaced an older brand that was actually larger than this door and I only have a couple of Border Collie mixes from a shelter. I'm not sure if larger dogs would be happy with this product. Shelter dogs are the best.

The good news is there are two clear flexible flaps one on each of the two telescoping sections to provide additional weather protection. On several occasions the magnets on the two flaps stuck to each other rather than returning to there home positions, thereby holding the door open allowing wind to enter the house. This may have something to due with the size of my dogs, the speed at which they use the door and temperature which can affect flap flexibilty.

This is a real nice $69.95 item. As a business owner, I'm all in favor of profits for all involved in the product. This item seems to have plenty.

I bought the house for my golden retriever puppy. The material is 1/4 inch thick, the size of plywood used to make a birdhouse! The house is NOT sturdy at all. The floor is made of two panels, and there is a 1/4 inch gap between them. The black plastic "feet" do not fit and are constantly falling off whenever I move it. I feel like I basically bought a giant bird house. There is no way this house will hold up. I wish I had saved my money and bought something much sturdier. Also, the seller (Wayfair), actually sent me a previously used house (chew marks, split down the side of one floor panel, missing corner pieces, etc), and then tried to make me pay for return shipping. I submitted an A-z Guarantee dispute, and finally got a full refund thanks to Amazon Customer Service, but I would definitely steer clear of this one.

Ordered this thru Wayfair and it arrived in 2 days, on a Saturday no less. We chose this dog house for a couple reasons. We liked that it included a door. We also liked that it was made of cedar, which naturally will resist mold, bacteria and pests from setting up shop in the dog house (think of cedar chests or closets for clothes). The dog house was packed perfect and no pieces were damaged as I unpacked. There was also no missing parts. Instructions were simply pictures and combined with some common sense and a Philips head screw driver the dog house was assembled, rather easily in about 20 minutes, doing it myself. The top has dual hinges and the roof can be locked open for cleaning, ventilation or organizing the dog house. There is also a latch to lock the roof closed. The floor is raised off the ground to keep you pet dry and protected from the elements. There are plastic sleeves that protect the wood feet from water. There are also leveling feet if needed. The small was plenty big for our border terrier that weighs about 12-14 lbs. I like how the door was set off to the side to give the dog even more protection from the weather. Once assembled, it looks very nice and much more expensive then what we paid. Great buy!!!

I am quite pleased with this product. It is solid cedar wood (smells like a cedar closet, which will help keep bugs away) and incredibly easy to assemble all you need is a phillips head screwdriver. It is pretty obvious from the pictures that it isn't super heavy, thick wood, but it seems weather tight and will block the wind and rain. Also comes with adjustable plastic feet so it will level easily and protect the wood from rotting near the ground. I'm using this as a house for my backyard ducks, and it will be great having the roof that opens for easy cleaning (which I couldn't find in most other doghouses). It arrived with a small piece of wood that had broken off near one of the feet, but did not affect the usability, only aesthetically the company was great about offering a 15% refund due to the damage. The only advice to a potential buyer I may offer is to remember that cedar is a very soft wood it dents and dings very easily. So if you have a pet who likes to chew or is quite rough and rowdy, you may want to opt for something made from a harder wood. Bottom line you can't beat it for $159.

I love the toothpaste gel. However, one of my dogs (lab mix about 80 pounds) was able to break off one of the side bristles on the large toothbrush when I was brushing his teeth. He tends to chomp when I am getting his back teeth and he bit down and broke off the small side part. Thankfully, it was attached by a small thread of plastic so he didn't swallow it. I now just use the toothpaste and a regular dog toothbrush. The finger brush was nice for getting my dog used to my hand being in his mouth. It was a hard plastic and worked well. Just be careful if you have a good, strong chewer with the large brush.

I have 3 dogs with varying ages and dental health. I brush their teeth every night. I have been using C.E.T. enzymatic beef flavored toothpaste. Only one of them likes to have their teeth brushed with the beef flavor and the regular style dog toothbrush with the head on each end. With this mint flavor they all hate it and actively fight me with the process. They also don't like the feeling of this style of brush, whether it tickles the roof of their mouth or what, they sneeze and snot and struggle to get the brush out. I tried the beef flavored cet with the brush and the mint paste with the regular brush and nothing worked. I do like the smell of the mint better, the beef flavor has no smell. I will use the rest of the bottle but will not purchase it again.

I have also not noticed any change in dental health, but I have only used it for a week.

Garden Dog House Review

OK, so the dog will be moving out of my house into a dog house in the backyard. It wasn't his choice, but then again, he's not paying the mortgage/rent.

So, this charming dog house fit the bill. The functional window is not something you will find in many other dog houses, and the plastic strips in the entry helps keeps bugs out, and possibly keep the dog a little warmer in cooler climates.

Shipment came in 2 packages: one was 45lbs and the other was 20lbs.

Fairly easy assembly: only took me about 30 minutes; you will need a Philips screwdriver, and that's it! I'd recommend fully tightening all the side-screws *after* you position the roof, or the roof may not fit/sit properly.

Dog was very curious as I was setting up this dog house. He did go cautiously in after I threw one of his favorite toys in there. I also added a light blanket to the bottom of the dog house. Might add a little LED light too :)

I've only had this dog house for a day, so I will update my review in time.

Natures Miracle Advanced Stain & Odor Gal Review

I recently moved into a house that had quite a bit of cat urine soaked into the flooring. I needed something to remove the odor. I've used the normal natures miracle for years and it works well, but the odor issue in this rental house is out of control. Old old old cat urine areas that had been repeatedly marked. Nature's miracle works well, and it works best if allowed to remain wet for a long time (at least a day or two, and preferably up to a week or two). It still works if you leave it on for a shorter time, but may not work quite as well.

As best I can tell, the advanced formula is basically the same thing as the normal formula, but with the addition of a perfume and odor counteractives that begin working the moment you apply (rather than having to wait two weeks for odor removal). I will say this, contrary to what another reviewer has said, the perfume they add in the advanced formula BLOCKS the urine odor completely, instantly, at least it did for me. There are a class of pro-grade cleaning products called "odor modifiers" which bind to the odor molecules and render them unable to be picked up by your nose. You DO smell the perfume, but you don't smell the urine. I believe the Natures Miracle Advanced formula contains the same kinds of odor modifiers that some of the pro-grade products use. The perfume is a sort of chemical cherry smell. The perfume isn't something I'd want to smell all the time, however, when faced with whiffing strong cat urine vs the perfume, I'd definitely choose the perfume. The odor fades as the product dries and within a week or two, its gone and all of the urine odor should be eliminated. If the odor wasn't eliminated, then the product either didn't reach all contaminated areas, or didn't stay wet long enough.

For most accidents you catch right away, before it has a chance to really dry out and start stinking, I would use the normal Natures Miracle product. But for dried urine spots you start smelling and don't find for days or weeks, or for fecal accidents that really stink immediately, and you'd rather have the offensive odor gone instantly while you smell a perfume for a little while, I suggest the advanced forumula.

I was really surprised at any negitive reviews on this product. I can see how the scent would be a little strong for some, but I really like it. I guess it is a little strong at first, but much much better than urine or feces scent :) I run a kennel and have about 10 dogs (indoor dogs) running my house. Yes they are doggy door trained, but there are accidents that I don't notice until it is too late and dried. This product works wonders. For the first week you apply it you will be able to smell the urine in the air if it is really strong or lots in the carpet. Once it has dried you should smell no urine at all, however if soiled badly enough...it could need a 2nd or 3 red application. Most of the time 2 application will work with dog urine. If the urine is still wet, sop it up with a rag or paper towel as much as possible and then one application of the product will generally work. If the urine is old and dried and wasn't sopped up....then I generally think it will take two applications. Usually if I can smell urine in the air after it gets wet...it just reminds me how much urine is really in my carpet. I truly believe those that are talking about the foul smell after applying this product has much much more urine in there carpet than they believe they do. This product absolutely works and works very well, however if you have A LOT of urine you will need to apply 3 even 4 applications to get it compeltely removed and this needs to be done after each application has 100% dried which honestly can take up to 2 weeks if it has soaked into the pad and flooring (which it should if you want to get all the urine odor out)....I can also say that after the first application the yellow marks may still be there so I will always spray the top of the carpet and rub with a clean rag and it will always take the discoloration out, but it wont always take the discoloring out just by pooring on, sometimes you have to rub the carpet with another application to get the staining out. If used properly this is a wonderful and very effective product.

i get odors and stains daily and truly needed something more natrual and less abrasive on our belongings as well as safe for my kids and pets. This stuff has been a life saver on more than one occasion.. for instance, ketchup saoked into and dried on my sons martial arts uniform and sure enough one wash with this and it was practically completely gone.. very un-noticable and by the second wash all gone.. The only compalin I have is the so called deterient it has.. It has yet to do that in my opnion but i certainly wont stop using it for the stain remover on my carpets and laundry.

Great for puppy training! Had first used another product that did not fully erase the odor as puppy returned to that spot instead of letting us know he had to go out. :( We sought out this product as it came recommended by our trainer; it works wellno returning to the "scene of the crime". The product smell is noticeablealong the pine cleaning product smells, not too astringent and the smell quickly goes away.

It does removes stains easily from carpet, to include cat throw up with significant bile/acid color (Messy hairball) from our very pale berber carpeting. Very pleased

I purchased the small spray bottle at locally and they wanted $12 more for this large gallon bottle in the store. Happy to buy it here on Amazon. The jug arrived quickly, no problems and will provide many refills for my bottle. Since we are through the potty training, it will probably last forever.

I am not pleased with this product. Used to use Nature's Miracle, going back to when it was a new product. Did not know until just recently that, some years back, the original developer sold the name, but NOT the formula, to another company. So much for brand loyalty! The old Nature's Miracle worked well and had a nice unobtrusive scent. This stuff has an overpowering perfumy fragrance to which I have developed a strong aversion and an allergic reaction. It does not work well, either, leaving you with a combination of vile perfume and cat urine, which is a big step in the wrong direction. Ugh. I also tried "Just for Cats" and I believe it is exactly the same; at least the foul fragrance is the same; and it works just as poorly.

What i did not like is the label that is placed on the bowl. i wish the company placed the label on the underside of the bowl, since the glue that holds the label onto the bowl is pretty sticky and hard to remove. i placed the bowl in hot water overnight to get the entire label out! not good if you want to use this right away.

I do not have a dog. I got this for a lather bowl for wet shaving for traveling. Hoping someday to make it an inner bowl to a shaving scuttle.

It is made well. I imagine the bowl was pressed from a stainless steel rod or disc as they are no seams to indicated it was pieced together. It has a nice finish. It is pretty sturdy.

This is a high-quality custom engraved pet ID. The engraving is not very deep, or bold, but can easily be read if you take it in your hand. The disc is hard stainless steel, so it will not wear off, or gather crud, if dragged in the food dish.

Overall, this is a good pet hoodie. It's cut right and looks like it would fit a dog well, but it's very small for a Medium. We had to return this hoodie because it wouldn't fit our Boston Terrier. It wouldn't even fit our smaller French Bulldog, who normally wears a Small-Medium.

Update -we returned the Medium hoodie and found a review for a Zack and Zoey hoodie where the reviewer said they needed an XL for their Boston Terrier. We ordered an XL and this time it actually was Extra Large, much to our chagrin. I don't know what's going on with the sizes of these hoodies but it seems like they're really inconsistent. Maybe they changed manufacturers or there was a mistake in the labeling?

Best Virbac Knockout E.S. Flea/Tick Spray Deals

I've been recommending this stuff to my clients for the last 13 years. Used it myself recently for the first time. Worked great! Just carefully follow the directions on the can. Do not use on your pets! MAKE SURE to use an appropriate flea/tick control agent on your pet. If your pet is out in a yard regularly, treat the yard with an appropriate yard spray as well.

Fleas are tough to get rid of. You have to treat the indoor environment, outdoor environment, and the pet at the same time. Fleas, like butterflies, make a cocoon before emerging as a disease spreading, allergy creating, anemia causing pest. The sprays one weakness is that it can't penetrate the cocoon. Pupated fleas can take up to seven months to hatch. You need to have flea control on your pet(s) to kill these new fleas as they emerge.

Vacuuming frequently will encourage hatching. The vibration causes hatching. These hatching fleas do not mean that this product has failed. These new fleas are not able to reproduce, that's the nylar in the spray. It effects the development of the exoskeleton of the flea. It's too soft to get out of it's egg. TMI?

These new fleas are "self limiting" and last around 30 days. This is why the pet topical flea control is an essential part of the treatment for flea infestation.

After you vacuum when using knockout, make sure you throw away the bag or wash the bag-less canister. I went as far as spraying mine with a little knockout after washing it with hot soapy water.

Flea Statistics to encourage you to kill all the fleas:

For every one flea you see, statistically there are 100 more in the environment! The adult stage is found primarily on the pet. Only 5% of the fleas in your environment are in the adult stage. 10% are in the pupated stage, 35% larvae, and 50% in the egg stage. One flea can lay up to 2,000 eggs in a life time.

Went to my mothers house for dinner. Her living room rug was loaded with fleas. Got the virbac and sprayed the carpet. Not a flea was jumping afterwards. The following Sunday though, the fleas were back. Honestly, I think she just had a major infestation. She ended up calling a professional service. They treated, but the following Sunday she still had fleas. Fleas are extremely hard to get rid of. A one-time treatment does not work. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I liked the aerosol can much better than a "bomb" type, because you can get under things, however, then you inevitably breathe in some of the product.

Cons:

You really want to HEAVILY CLEAN before spraying. You also want to spray every surface, including under beds and couches. If you don't do this, you aren't going to get all the fleas.

Fleas will still be seen for a while after using this product. It kills them, but new ones hatch, and then it takes awhile for the breeding cycle to get interrupted. Don't be dismayed.

OF COURSE you want to get your animals and people out of the house for a few hours until the smell settles. If you have birds, (which I do) leave them out of the house for 24 hours. (It was summer, so I used a safe place to put them outside).

You really need to spray the whole house at once. I wasn't able to do this, so had less effective control, but I could tell a big difference after a few weeks.

This product works, I haven't seen a flea since I've use it. And it is also quite a bit cheaper than buying at the vet's office.
