Amazon should really have a country of origin for all products listed on Amazon.com

especially when irradiated

I'm quite uncomfortable with buying food products made in China. Even more so for pet products, where the track record is dubious at best.

I know the FDA approves of food irradiation, but I remain skeptical

and China's guidelines(on pet goods especially) are much more laxed than those of the FDA

My Dog love Canyon Creek duck tenders but I stopped giving them to him due to all the problems with treats from China. When I looked at the advertisement for chicken strips from Smoke House, they were made in the US however these duck tenders are made in China. The treats look very old and dried out more so than they should. I would not recommend buying these from this company.

I have 3 cats, one in particular likes to be near (but not on) me when I'm at the computer. I bought this to go under the desk so I could put my feet up & hopefully give my cat a place to be close. He loved it for about 3 days & my other two are indifferent. He is a large, rather fat cat but he fit just fine in it. The construction is exactly what I expected. I was not sure I would like them when they first arrived since assembly was required but they have really worked out well for both us and the kittens. They were easy to put together. The only concern I might have about them is someone other than a cat wanting to sit on them. I wouldn't recommend it due to the materials it is made of.

I was very surprised that this was such good quality as it did not cost very much. My cats love to sleep inside and it is a comfortable hassock as well. I bought 2 and my kitties just love either playing in and around it or taking a snooze. They feel protected and safe and they look just like a regular ottoman in my livingroom, if you face the opening to the side.

It would have been extra nice if they came in beige or brown but that's just a small drawback to a great product.

I have a Sheltie and after about 6 years I finally discovered that if she had several beds around the house, the furry dust bunnies were fewer. It makes for some quite hairy beds, but it is at least all in one spot for cleaning. My dog loves to be wrapped in a blanket, so I figured this bed would be nice and cozy for her. I put it in our bedroom and it only took a day or two for her to go in it without suggestion. Now, she sleeps in it every night and doesn't seem to budge at all. She even goes back in it while I'm getting dressed or puttzing around the room. She obviously loves it.

The lining and bed are silky and soft. Yes, the "hoodie" does sag down, but that is OK. It seems to just make it cozier. We call it her "hoodie bed" and I'm really glad I got it. Matter of fact, I was just thinking about getting a second one for downstairs. She is getting older (10 years) and I think she'll enjoy this cozy bed during the day, as well.

this bed was delivered lightning quick which was nice. but when it got here the top section was smashed flat. it has a thin support wire or cardboard thing around the edge but it cant be reshaped. since it was smashed down the whole left side sags down right in and rests on the cushion. the right side stays up fairly well. the little cushion inside is okay if your pet doesnt scratch or dig around. if he does then the filling shifts around and wads up on one sidethough its easy to fluff back out.

having said all that, as a human id say the bed isnt what i wanted for my petwhich was a place for the cat to sleep at night out of the A/C or table top fan breezes. however, the thing is, from the very moment i took it from the box my dog adores this thing. my dachsund dove into it before i could get the tags off and stayed there til i chased him off to put it in the spot the cat sleeps. he never cared for dog beds before in the slightest but loves this.

so while i was not happy with the quality of this bed or the fact the cat hated it (he was much happier smashing the top part in ambushing the dog) i defer to fact the dog loved it. so, at least someone was happy!

Got this bed for our Beagle for cold nights. The bed is very cute and looks comfy, however, I like my dog beds to have removable covers for easy washing, but in this bed only the very inside pillow has one. So the sides and the top part would need to be washed whole. Also, I don't think the hooded part works that much for added heat, but some dogs may like it for a "den-like" feel.

Very impressed with this bed! Firstly, it shipped very fast I had it in 2 days, w/o additional shipping charges. Secondly, the material is super soft on the inside, the pillow is fluffy and removable, and the hood stands up perfectly. There is no issue with the wiring that holds up the hood on mine, it was packed well, did not get crushed in shipping, and stood right up out of the box. The zippers around the hood for removal should make it easy to clean. I got the tan color and it is really pretty including the design the picture doesn't do this product justice, it's much nicer looking in person. It's also really roomy and the hood doesn't negatively impact the interior space of the bed. I can't wait to see how my new "baby" likes it, but she won't be here until later this week. I'll update the review once the bed is in use.

UPDATE: My new little arrival, a 10lb little girl, loves this bed and has lots of room to spare while in it. She loves cuddling up along the back, under the hood, for long naps...she's in there as I am writing this. I hide little treats around the corners and under the pillow as a game for her to find them. Lots of fun for her, she works off a little energy, and it keeps her occupied from bothering the human stuff in the house. Occasionally she crawls all over the top, or tosses the whole thing around, but all I have to do is stand it up again and it's back to good as new. It also cleans up very nicely, she has a little seepage from her spay stitches (back to vet tomorrow to check on that) and it easily wiped clean with just baby wipes. I'll also try to add pics which I always find helpful from other customers!

After lots of research I decided to get this for my 9 week old miniature Schnauzer. It was delivered as promised and its so soft. My puppy loves it including the hood. Some times it does fall down but you can put a little blanket in there to keep it held up. My puppy thinks its fun and thats all that matters. It seems well made and it wasn't that expensive compared to others.

Update: Our puppy had an accident (number 2) and tracked it on her bed. We unzipped the hood and threw both into our front loader washer on the maximum setting. It was almost dry when it came out. Hung it on the clothes line and it looks better than new. The hood even stays up better. The wire from the hood did poke through and I just sowed it up. Our puppy love chewing on it so not sure if she was to blame or if it was from the extra spinning in the washer. Easy repair.

This is a pretty paltry jacket. Not much warmth here at all. Also, the positioning of the velcro is not ideal for a male dog. Afraid he will urinate on it while wearing it so it seldom gets worn. Will be purchasing a dog jacket in person so I can see quality and fit.

My female Jack Russell,though now a senior dog, is very tough on her toys. If anyone has ever known the terrier breed, you know all about that razor teeth and their need to chew and dig and chew some more. She has very few soft toys that can stand up to her chewing. This dinosaur really stands the test. I thought for sure it would be destroyed in a matter of weeks like the rest of her soft toys, but it's still in perfect condition! Another problem I run into with my Jack is finding a squeaker toy that she can actually squeak the squeaker. Most toys small enough for her are made for non-destructive lap dogs. My jack was the runt of the litter and is tiny even for a jack but her level of destruction is the same. This toy is thin enough that she can squeak it, but strong enough that she can really play with it. The flopability of the toy is an added bonus. If your dog is anything like my Jack Russell, and likes toys that flop against their heads ... then this toy is for you! This dinosaur has also become my dog's best buddy. She often puts it into her bed and falls asleep with it, much like a child would with their favourite teddy. I would definitely recommend this toy, and I look forward to buying the other designs of this toy for my busy Jack.

Maybe my dog is just fixated on removing the stuffing from her toys, but I have to say that this doesn't necessarily live up to the hype that it is unbreakable. She tends to get a piece open and then stuffing appears and all bets are off.

HOWEVER, the toys do last long (this one was purchased in December and still has the squeaker) and are made well. Just don't think that they will never be destroyed.

We will buy more.

She's destroyed every other stuffed toy we've gotten her in less than an hour, including some other companies that claim to be extra durable. The other Sherpa toys she's had for over a month without any substantial damage (which is amazing!). Unfortunately, she chewed through the bill of this one in just a couple of days and started getting the stuffing out of the head. Skip this toy, but stick with Sherpa!

I have an 85 pound mixed breed and he is rough on toys. This is the only one I have purchased that he has not yet been able to destroy. Totally worth the price. He loves the thing and will not play with anything else. He had gone through just about every other toy supposedly built for strong chewers, Nylabone, Tough Tuggers, Ropes, you name it. This toy is 3 months old and still going strong. I will buy another for sure. It does get a little soggy as it is plush and he has ripped a small hole or two, but this has not seemed to led to disintegration of the toy as so many others have and it is still sturdy enough for tug play. A great product.

My lab Smoke can chew through almost anything! Usually in less than a day. So, while this Dinasour is cute and Smoke had a great time with it *still is*, after 4 weeks, it has holes in the sides and the krinkle squeak box has been dug out of it. He's still having fun, and fortunately there wasn't a whole lot of white stuffing inside to pick up after he went to work on it.

Design is cute and colorful. It's also washable, which is great given all the attention it gets!

I bought this feeder because it was the tallest one I could find (which I need for my Great Dane) for a reasonable price. The height is perfect my Dane eats and drinks very comfortably from it however, the feeder isn't very sturdy. I can't actually fill the water dish with water, because it's so much heavier than the food that it tilts the feeder. Also, the feeder wobbles, and the piece that holds the two dishes turns on the center rod (due to a poor design for making the feeder height adjustable). Overall, I would not purchase this feeder again. I may even give up on it completely and replace it with a more expensive, but better made, version.

I used two of these, one upstairs and one downstairs, for a little over a year without any problems. However, the elevated bowls that I'm using now are much better. My main complaint with this was that it wobbled so every time our dogs ate from it you could here it moving back and forth which was annoying. The base also rusts after a short time because every time my dogs drank water some of it would leak on to the base which eventually rusted. Also, with two big dogs over time the area where you adjust the height became loose and you had to tighten it again. I think this was because of all the wobbling. Nothing big, all annoying things.

However, my dogs are a boxer and a great dane mix who are both tall and neither had a height issue with the bowls. We did have to put it at the highest setting. The bowls were also fine for us. Some mentioned they rusted but we actually still have ours after 2.5 years and they're in great condition.

All in all, you could be happy with these but there are better options out there.

For tiny dogs this might work, but then why would you need a raised dish? The overall height is actually quite short and is not the same size as it looks in the photo. It was barely tall enough, at its highest adjustment, for my medium size Australian Shepherd. And with the bowls at the highest it seems quite unstable. The material is flimsy and after assembly it is easy for an active, hungry dog to knock this over. In addition, the bowls don't sit well in the rings and with vigorous licking come right out. Of course there is a fix for this, but the clamp that holds the bowls in place requires a thumbscrew that damages the paint on upright everytime you tighten it, because the paint is so thin and metal is soft! I was very disappointed in the quality of this item and so I returned it.

The stainless steel bowls are very simple and lightweight bowls. They will last forever. The stand if built and tightened properly, will hold a full bowl of food and water no problem. I have never had any problems with mine and I've had it for about 6 years now! The only con is that it will rust slightly from the water bowl splashing when your dog drinks water out of it. But this happened after about 4 years and I NEVER wiped it down or anything. I liked it so much I just bought a second one for my new Labrador puppy. I have it down low and I will raise it as she grows. Highly recommended.

Anyone who owns cats knows they are finicky. I have purchased beds, sacks, kitty condos, and cushions in the past. With few exceptions, they have been rejected by one or both of my brood. One of my two cats is almost 19 and she had been seeking extra warmth by curling up on a heating vent. Because of these reasons, only 1 of these was purchased at first. This was a mistake, since there were almost fights to get in the heated bed. I quickly had to purchase another to make everyone happy. Now both cats have made these beds their sleeping place of choice at night, even over sleeping with us. It seems the very low wattage heats the bed perfectly for them and keeps them happy. Buying a heated bed was somewhat of a concern, since I worried that it might burn the cat. Since 4 watts seemed extremely low, I decided to try it and it works perfectly. The bed is barely warm to the touch if not covered and feels comfortably warm after a cat has just slept there. No hot spots were noted. After several weeks of use, I can highly recommend this bed. One note, both of my cats are smaller than normal at only 6 lbs, so this size is perfect for them. A larger version would be suggested for larger cats.

16 inches is really not that big. My small female sleeps in it from time to time but she looks scrunched and I believe she prefers the couch. I have a tom cat and there's no way he could fit into this bed. If this is a standard size I will have to get him a dog bed. Also the picture makes it look like the sides are kind of tall and sturdy. They aren't, and when the cat lays in it the sides flatten out. I think overall I was disappointed in it but as long as the cat likes it, that's all that really matters. I'm not the one sleeping in it. The cover is soft and it's nice that it's washable.

I have a small, older cat who is always cold. I had been running an electric heater for her, but looked into buying a heated bed. This bed was economical and very similar to her old bed, so I gave it a try.

The bed doesn't really heat up until the cat is laying in it. However, you can place a throw pillow or something in the bed first to heat it up if you need to entice the cat to use it.

The bed does heat up nicely when the cat is in it. My cat loves it. I also appreciate the washable cover. A good purchase.

I got the small pink house for my 3lbs teacup poodle and she absolutely loves it!!!! As soon as I opened the box when it arrived in the mail she was immediately interested in it. It's like she knew it was for her. It only took seconds to setup and she went directly inside. She stared scratching the inside wall as if she was making some home improvements ( so funny).
