Parts of the dog house were broken when we received it. The instructions didn't have a phone number to concact the people who make it. The floor of the X-Large house looks like it could break under the wight of a x-large breed. Over all it's nice and not hard to set up but was disapointed that it was so damaged during shipping and i'm not sure how to get replacement parts.

I am the proud mom of a 10 month old, 120 lb rottweiler husky mix. This giant puppy chews up everything, the world is his toy. This house has not been a target of his slobbery jaws. It's well built, tough, and looks good. I use a large industrial rubber mat as bedding. (he shreds blankets) He took to it well, and sleeps in it every night. I highly recommend this house.

We bought this dog house about 8+ years ago for one of our older dogs. She has now passed on and our 3 border collies have taken residence & use this to rest & shelter in when they are outside.

It was very easy to put together and has not fallen apart in 8+yrs. We have taken it apart to move and clean it, and we move it to different spots around the yard and it holds up well.

Our big border collie (60 lbs) and the small one (40lbs) both fit in there in a rain, thunder or snow storm. They dont seem to mind both being together in there as long as they are sheltered. Years ago, for a joke , I can remember my husband actually got into it and he's 230lbs he backed in as far as he could go and fit !!!

The snow and rain only get inside if it's blowing sideways, I made a bed to fit inside and it rarely gets wet, but we put the house in the most sheltered position for rain/snow.

Our youngest Border Collie chews everything plastic and I mean EVERYTHING, but she has never even tried to chew this house thank goodness.

Even after daily use for 8+yrs it still looks really good and does not look old and weathered, the floor/walls/roof have not buckled or become mis-shapen, even with the extremes of temperatures we get in Colorado. I would buy this house again in a heartbeat if anything happened to this one.

I have owned this for over a year and I can write an honest review. WORTHLESS. Buy something else or build your own. I wanted a doghouse for our 85# doberman. Some of the reviews spoke about dogs larger than mine, so I figured this would work plus our dog is 50/50 inside and outside so I knew it wouldn't have heavy use.

Basic requirements:

1. Large enough for him to curl up inside: Pass (barely-THAT photo has to be a small lab)

2. Keep the wind off of him in the winter: Fail

3. Keep the sun off of him in the summer: Pass

4. Keep him dry. Fail--miserably.

Problem: The sides of the house do not line up flush with base(see pic) so any rain that hits the side rolls down and goes inside the dog house instead of down onto the ground outside. (either that or its curling under the roof(which I don't think so)) I have to constantly replace cedar chips, even a slight rain will seep inside.

Its not just at the opening thats getting wet. It apparently leaks all the way around as evidenced by the rain we got last night, since the bottom piece is concaved inside it looks like a cedar chip swimming pool. ( I am ticked off this thing cost $200.00 bucks)

The picture that is posted is misleading. The fit is not that good. If the reviews from 3-4 years ago are honest(I am suspicious) then the manufactuer has fired its quality control person. I recieved all the parts and it snapped together easily enough--this isn't a heavy duty dog house it is just an expensive shelter. But even shelters should have the ability to keep a dog's bed dry. (call me crazy for thinking this is a basic requirement)

This is a great product. Its durable, and easy to clean. We use it to store the dogs toys, our dog would rather sit in the rain then seek shelter. Easy to assemble and light enough to move around as needed.

My dogs did not like this house as it has no insulation to keep them warm. If you get strong winds it will blow over as it's very light weight. If you live in a warm place all year round with little wind it might be good, but after a year and my dogs didn't use it I gave it away to a friend. I always bring them inside at night and in bad weather anyway and feel this was a waste of money. Better to build your own out of wood with insulation and a shingle roof.

Ordered this for my 30 lb dog, measurements said it would fit but it is way too small. It fits around her waist and legs ok but the height of it needs to be bigger (looks like a small bikini bottom when on) And the width between the legs is not even close to covering the area that needs it the most! If you order this up the size by 1 or 2. It does fit the waist but that is about it. Total waste of my money.

I'm not even kidding. We bought this at a local pet store in NM because our cat is being a stupid bitch and peeing on our couch. I know it says for carpet, but it penetrated the couch cushion and completely did away with the smell. Then we started using it on carpets and pillows that smelled bad and it works on everything! This really does the trick. I have a 13 yr. old wee wee pad dog and she's great at hitting the target but occasionally she has gone a little too close to the edge. I am a smell freak and nothing seemed to get rid of the very faint smell. I used this exactly as directed and it worked. I realize that animals have a very strong sense of smell but to the human nose the smell is gone, even very "up close". I will always keep this on hand.

I was quite surprised when I took it out of the box at how small it really is. My mini-schnauzer is only 15 pounds and he couldn't fit in it so I decided to take out my tape measure and see for myself. When you measure the diameter from seam to seam on the bottom of the bed it is 19" and that is if you really stretch it. As you see it pictured, you are likely to think that the height at it's center while it is resting on the floor is 21" as advertised however I placed the tape measure inside of it and measured only 14". Now if you lift it off the floor holding it from the top and press down in the center of the bed to stretch it out and lay it on it's side, you can stretch it out to 21" however, it would be too narrow for anything larger than a mouse to enter it as at that point, it has no diameter! I am adding some pictures I just took so that you could see what I am referring to. The bed has no "body" to it so when you place it on the floor it just lies flat but if you lift the center and move it just right, it will stand up with the height at about 8 to 10" for a minute or so before collapsing into a flat round circle that measures no more than 19". If your pet does venture inside, the bed has almost no padding whatsoever so make sure you use it on a thick carpet or similar padded surface. If you have a very small dog like a Yorkie or a small cat, they might enjoy this bed but my little pup is too big for it! I notice that a number of other reviews that gave it 3 or 4 stars stated that their dogs wouldn't go inside it or that it was too small or lacked sufficient padding. One reviewer commented that he would not recommend it for dogs over 6 pounds due to it's small size. I hope this helps.

My yorkie loves this bed. She spends countless hours playing with it by running around inside it, digging in it, laying on it and sleeping in, around and on the bed. It's a beautiful pink just as the picture shows and it seems to be indestructible and made of a very cozy, comfortable material( really, I layed my head on it and it's very comfortable)The top does not stand up as I thought from the picture but it really doesnt matter because she would have flattened it down to the way it is to be the most comfortable for her and I like that the company thought of the dog first.

This is great for smaller dogs; I don't think anything over 20-25 pounds would fit. My 12 pound Doxie has room to spare, but not enough for another dog.

I have had 4 different Chihuahuas try out this bed and each one did not use it much even with a small comfortable blanket inside as a nest. I thought it would be a great buy since Chihuahuas naturally love to burrow. The cost at its current price of around $32 is a little steep in my opinion. For the same cost, I get a comfortable blanket and a comfortable yet inexpensive bed and the chihuahuas prefer it significantly more than this bed. The bed has no support, which is a bittersweet feature that I found more detrimental than beneficial.

I got the small pink house for my 3lbs teacup poodle and she absolutely loves it!!!! As soon as I opened the box when it arrived in the mail she was immediately interested in it. I have two dogs, a yellow lab (93 pounds) and a 6 month old Boxer. I was worried they might rip this toy up in about 2 seconds, but I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is!!! My dogs love this thing they play tug of war with it, the puppy chews on it constantly, and it is still in one piece! The only thing that did not hold up on this was the squeaky thing inside of it. It just stopped squeaking (I happen to prefer it that way myself...). They liked it so much I also bought the Henrietta Chicken (Earl's girlfriend). This one still has it's squeaker, (a very loud one)! My husband says that's because a girl will be heard no matter what, even if it's a chicken!! This is a great toy!!
