The costume looks exactly like it's supposed to... It's just really hard to get the right size for your dog. The company lists small dogs and medium dogs but even the small dog costume is pretty big. A plus side is that our dog really loves the banana that came with it!

First, the good points: the crate Is very lightweight, it (quite literally) zips together in a flash, the 43" crate is probably big enough for a small Dane, and the canvas is sturdy, with a waterproof coating on the inside.

Now, the not-so-good: The photos and description are inaccurate. The product description says there are flaps to cover the mesh on all 4 sides-NOT TRUE. There is no flap cover for the door. This may not be a problem for you, but I specifically wanted flaps over all mesh areas. Also, in the photos the mesh along the sides and back appears to start well above the floor of the crate. (I wanted this to avoid possible tears in the mesh should my dog start digging at it.) In fact, the mesh is only 3 or 4 inches above the floor, so with a bed inside it's pretty much even with the bed. Also the fleece 'mat' is not really all that. One one side it's fleece, on the other side it's a slick nylon type fabric and in between is a sheet of rigid plastic. The plastic sheet, BTW, is what makes the bottom rigid.

Now the bad: if you just need a crate once in a while for a day or two for a well-behaved dog, sturdiness may not be an issue. It was for me, though, since this is where my dog sleeps every night. BE WARNED this crate is held together ONLY by two zippers. THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL SUPPORTS, in addition to being extremely flimsy, DO NOT ATTACH TO EACH OTHER ANYWHERE. I suspect this is the case with all the different crates that look like this one, as well as the dome-top GoPetClub crate. The supports that run parallel to the floor at the long sides of the top are about as big around as a couple of pencil leads and VERY, shall we say, flexible. When zipped together for the first time the top was decidedly swaybacked ( the nice rigid, sturdy-looking crate in the photo simply does not exist). The vertical supports are somewhat larger, but equally as bendy. Of course the good news is that they're easy to bend back, but really, if you put anything heavier than a bed pillow on this you're headed for a collapse. To see the zippers, look at the photo and note the thick black bands around the edges of the front and back of the crate. Those are zippers. And they're what holds the crate together. Just two zippers.

And as for customer service: I'm not one of those people who orders things expecting to send them back, so I often don't pay as much attention to return policies as I should. *sigh* let my life be a warning to you. I bought this from Go Pet Club, so when I realized it was not what I wanted, I contacted them for return instructions, which I was given. It cost me $44 to return via UPS. After they received it I got a curt email back saying the item was used, had pet hair on it and therefore no refund. I wrote back saying the item had been unboxed, set up with the dog's bed inside it, moved around the room for a while, brushed off and reboxed. I also noted that I have 4 dogs, 8 cats and a parrot, so it did not surprise me that there might be some hair, but that the crate was in perfect condition when I returned it. They were adamant, so I complained to Amazon. Several days later I got an $81 refund. I am used to dealing with mail order retailers like LL Bean who emphasize customer service to get customer loyalty, so it is always infuriating to me to run into "gotcha" return encounters. As I said, let this be a warning.

This HUGE soft-sided crate is very reasonably priced for the size.

I have 3 Giant Schnauzers that I trial in Agility and I used to have to drag a huge airline carrier into trials so one of my dogs could rest alone before their run.

Heavy!

One of my Giants is 30" tall, another 29" tall, and smallest one is 28" tall.

When I set it up in the living room, they took turns going into it to try it out.

This crate has been Giant-approved! (by my Giants, anyway.)

The additional nice features of this crate are the open-up or drop-down shades or covers (giving the dog privacy when down or being able to get fresh air with the shades up while the screen keeps flies and other bugs off the dog).

(No need for carrying in of blankets to cover the crate.)

Nice carrying straps for the shoulder and crate is lightweight, especially for this size.

But to me the greatest thing about this item is the price.

Most carriers this size run close to and/or over $170.00.

This one was only $62.00 with a used one with a little screen damage that was repairable for only $38.00.

I have 2 chow puppies (13 pounds each) and this has been great for them as a portable crate (in the house and in the car). Durable and so far they haven't tipped it over (except once when I had the bottom support out) or managed to open the zipper. Plus it is very easy to set up, even while in the car. It looked great when I first got it, but the lettering doesn't last long. It's a really good stick on lettering but it doesn't stand up to a normal dogs wear and tear. I paid about the same for a Florida collar at another site that didn't have it at sticker lettering/ emblems and my other dog wore it for two years longer. Still looks good besides some staining. Good buy if you aren't expecting a long product life.

Purchased this product last year for my outdoor kitties. It kept them comfortable in the cold weather. Used this item on a covered porch and in a barn. Currently 7 kittens are snuggled on it. At first I wasn't sure about this bed. Something early on told me that it should have been a lot warmer and I was THISCLOSE to returning it. But when all was said and done, I realized that the temps it reaches -and the WAY it does -is brilliant. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

The bed comes folded and deflated. Just open it up, pull the little red valve in the corner to its open position, plug the bed in and wait for 15-30 minutes for the heat to adjust and the bed to self-inflate. After it inflates, (which isn't dramatic, so don't anticipate the Hindenburg), you press a little of the air out to prevent a ballooning effect when your pet sits on it, then close the valve.

Plugged in, but unused, the bed stays several degrees above room temperature waiting for some company. When your pet climbs aboard, it rises to 102 degrees and is perfect for removing the chill. It comes with a fleece cover that's cozy and comfy, but thin enough to allow the heat from the pad underneath to penetrate. A feisty animal might be able to remove the cover easily, but our user prefers to be adorable, dainty and compliant. The fleece cover is machine-washable. Excellent!

There's a semi-feral in our yard who we've been feeding since we found her nearly starving to death. Since we already have 6 cats (and a bunny), half of them special needs, there was simply no more room at the inn for another. But I couldn't just let this little girl suffer out there. I go out several times a day to visit with her (can't touch her, but can get within several feet if I'm careful) and make sure she's eating ok. It's SO freakin cold out there and one day I put a *human* heating pad in the garage on a blanket and covered it with a small throw rug. Cow, as we call her (see pics), took to it immediately without my having to place her on it, which she never would have allowed. But I was scared of leaving it on without me being there it's not meant to be either outside OR unattended -so enter the K&H Lectro Soft Outdoor Bed. She's on it every night and many times during the day. I'm so happy with this product, I'm getting another for my 23 year old arthritic cat. He's going to love it. He's blind, but can sense a warm human lap within 50 yards, so this will be great for when said laps are unavailable and out shopping for more pet beds.

(Not recommended for animals that chew stuff.)

The bed is okay. First off, the bottom is always a lot more warm than the top, which seems rather silly to me. The bottom has the cord attached along with a plastic air valve. As it is an air matress, it makes a crinkly sound when my dog steps on it, which I find to be rather annoying, and some pets may find offsetting. The pad is thin and despite the "soft" in the title, it isn't. I ended up having to put a soft dog bed underneath the "bed" so that my great dane would use it.

In short: this isn't a bed, it's a heating pad that is insulated by a small amount of air so that it doesn't have to use as much power. If you're looking for something that your animal will find super comfortable, this probably isn't it.

We take care of a wild cat who has been around our woods & house for many years now. She's a very social cat, and able to hunt for herself and find places to keep warm, but winters here in VA can be very unpleasant. I have purchased small cat pads before, but the raccoons would enter the garage and snatch them away (a mystery for the longest time!) Her latest bed was heftier with tall sides to keep her safe from the wind that may come into the garage; whilst the raccoons couldn't quite get the entire thing out of the garage, they were able to take the pad within. Instead of purchasing a replacement pad, I decided I would give this heated bed a try. It fits perfectly into the confines of her walled bed, is of a substantial enough weight that I don't think it will be dragged off by other wild creatures, plus our cat LOVES it!!! She no longer curls up on the cars to soak up engine heat:) Plus, because she's curled up on it so often to keep out of rain, ice and snow, we have cut back on the amount of food we give her until she's able to get back to being more active (saving us money in the long run!). The bed is well made soft fleece covering that can be removed and tossed in the wash, plus the heater is safe and provides just enough heat to keep her happy and comfortable.

I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with an outdoor pet/wild cat visitor.

The vinyl outside covers a pad of orthopedic foam, which is where the "soft" comes from (at least compared to their hard plastic pads). It's shipped vacuum packed, folded up with all the air sucked out to save space, and for use you just open the valve to let the air back in so the foam expands back to normal thickness. It shouldn't have any excess air to make it act like an air mattress; the instructions even tell you to press some air back out before closing the valve again to prevent any balloon effect. So, claw punctures aren't really an issue (though the vinyl's pretty tough anyway).

Don't skimp on the size, the medium is big enough for my fairly small cat to be able to comfortably sprawl out on her side the way she likes (I think she soaks up more heat that way), but the small wouldn't be. It's thick enough to be soft and comfy for my cat, especially with the fleece cover, but could be kind of thin for a heavier dog. The fleece cover also stays on very well for my cat, but I can see how a dog rolling around on it could pull it loose (though some elastic and safety pins might fix that).

We'd been giving our cocker spaniel a daily Denta Stix for dental care and thought we were doing our share of his dental care. WRONG!!! Fudge is only 3 and his teeth were discolored and covered in tartar. It wasn't the worst case, but it was bad enough. I went home and did some research but could only find reviews for a product called Petzlife. It's also a gel and the results on their site were amazing as well. Anyway, having seen that a gel made of natural ingredients actually worked, I decided to try the TropiClean. Well, it's only been nine days and his teeth are 75% better! And it's so easy! Not to mention that he likes the taste of it. I'm only nine days in and I can't wait to see what his teeth are going to look like when the 30 days are up. I imagine they'll be clean before that because this product really works. I will NEVER be without this as long as my pets have teeth. P.S. works on cats too!

I have tried the CET solution and the toothpaste with both soft brushes and rubber nubs but neither did a thing for my dog. This is simply a miracle in a bottle. I should also mention my dog broke a few back teeth on a bone so the protective coating is off and it's bare tooth. In week one the canines went from dark orange to mostly white. Week two they looked bright white. The back teeth are much improved after the third week and I will give it a month of daily treatment before going to the twice weekly regimen. Like any dog owner, I do worry about everything I put in my dog's body and this is no different. It says all natural, which I like, but you just never know when it comes to animal products. The company hasn't been around for a long time, but I weighed the pros and cons between using it and the effects of tartar on my dog's organs. Also, it is now being sold at my local feed store and he is very particular as to what products he offers.

Also, if you have an older dog and are worried about anesthesia, this is worth a try for a month or two. I wish it was around back then for my previous dog.

4/18 Update. I've been using this every day for a month now and even the broken teeth look clear of tarter. I am now doing it twice a week. My suggestion is after a month, gradually lessen the treatments while monitoring teeth and breath. Like all medicines, the least amount of sessions with satisfactory results is the healthful rule.

8/30 Update. Some people have asked for the ingredients, so here they are...

Teeth Gel: Purified water, corn alcohol, natural mint, glycerin, natural cleanser, aloe vera leaf juice, carbopol, chlorophyllin, green tea leaf extract.

Update 3/21/12 After buying a new bottle a month ago(from a reputable source), it does not work as well as it used to. I am not sure if they changed the formula around but it definitely isn't the same stuff I had been using. I even asked my vet and they weren't sure how it ever worked to begin with based on the ingredients. It did work for a few months so I'm not sure what to think now. I am now reluctantly back to daily brushing using CET tartar formula toothpaste.

I have a miniature Daschund named Sophie who is rather feisty, trying to brush her teeth simply ended with both of us angry at each other. She's just a year old, but I could already see plaque build up on her teeth. I THINK this product is working but it's tough to tell right now. I'm writing this to help others who may have trouble actually getting it into their dog's mouth. My dog has tartar on the far back molars only. She's a recent adoption & just a year old but her breath could kill. Vet was ready to anesthetize her & scale her teeth but I wanted to try this first. The packaging for this gel is absolutely crappy for delivery of the gel to the back teeth of a 45 pd wiggly puppy who absolutely HATES the process. She doesn't mind the taste just the process. A 2 man job & I could never tell if I was actually getting it on the teeth needed. Plus bottle is hard to squeeze the gel out of & you subsequently end up using way more than you need. But the breath is better & it looks like the tartar may be lessening after 7-10 days. So if you try this product save yourself & your dog some anguish. Buy a 5-10cc syringe (obviously without a needle), load it with the gel, then you can just slip the syringe in the side of the dog's mouth to the back teeth & PRESTO...1 person can accomplish easy accurate delivery with no wasted product & you don't traumatize the dog.

We have two soft coated Wheaten Terriers who have long 'hair' (not to be confused with fur) and a thick undercoat that is like cotton batting or polyfill. I have experimented with a few brushes, and more expensive brushes. They all fall apart, their pins come out or get depressed, or the base holding the pins comes out of the main body of the brush. The Andis brush is high quality and durable. Super for getting through my dog's fur and making it beautiful without a ton of work. I highly recommend this brush if you need something that is deep and good for thick fur. I also highly recommend a 'v' rake for pulling matts.

LOVE These coats, but unfortunately the XL will not fit my 26.5 (shoulder height) doberman with a 32 inch chest. OR my 25.5" dobe with a 30.inch chest.... the 'armholes' are just a bit too far up on the coat The holes for her front legs end up on the sides of her shoulders Along the back needs to have a strip (maybe 2 inches or so ) added so the holes end up in the place they should be.. I can get the legs in, but they pull so hard on the back part of the jacket she could NEVER walk in it.. And the pressure put on the under-inside of the leg (armpit) is not tolerable for them, it makes it bunch up under the arm and pull so bad they really can not walk without quite a bit of difficulty. I would buy more of these coats if the XL was really XL. I do so wish they had a XXL that I could try...These are lightweight,, insulated, wonderful looking coats...seemingly well made. and I think, inexpensive for what you get. They do close with velcro under the dogs stomach which is not the easiest place to get to , but works. I have been looking for a coat like this for my 2 girls forever.... light , insulated, easy to wear for them. I like these so much I may actually add a strip down the back to make the legs openings fall in the proper place. JUst a couple inches might do it... If anyone knows of a coat like this that will fit my 'proper' breed type sized dobemans, PLease respond.. thanks.

It is very hard to find winter dog wear that fits the proportions of my dog correctly. Amazon does not provide the size guide so I actually googled this sweatshirt and founding the measurements per size on another website. The most important thing is to make sure the girth (chest) of your dog is measured and the product will fit as well as the length. I measured my dog and the small/medium was closest to his length but this medium one matched his chest measurements. So I ended up purchasing both and decided to just return whichever didnt fit. This Medium ended up being wayyyyyy too long for my Miniature Pinscher. The small/medium was a little more snug but the length fit so I decided to keep that one. Because dogs have different chest and length measurements and no dog is exactly alike, I would recommend googling the product to get the size guide and measuring your dog before you order so you have an idea of which size you need. Other than that, this is a great sweatshirt. It's warm and insulated enough to act as a coat in the cold weather and I keep the smaller size for my dog for walks in the winter months.

WOW!! I just purchased this hoodie for the love of my life( my dog) is name is crash my kids named him. This medium sized sweatshirt fits my 14 lb dog. The quality is excellent, although it will shrink a little in the dryer. This sweatshirt covers the whole body of my dog and the front sleeves protect her front paws from the weather.
