Our Doberman is 50 lbs now and this XL size vest fits her great! When we got the vest it was a little roomy when she was 42lbs but still wearable. Quality product and I highly recommend it. We spent much more on a Puppia jacket previously that our puppy quickly outgrew.

LOVE These coats, but unfortunately the XL will not fit my 26.5 (shoulder height) doberman with a 32 inch chest. OR my 25.5" dobe with a 30.inch chest.... the 'armholes' are just a bit too far up on the coat The holes for her front legs end up on the sides of her shoulders Along the back needs to have a strip (maybe 2 inches or so ) added so the holes end up in the place they should be.. I can get the legs in, but they pull so hard on the back part of the jacket she could NEVER walk in it.. And the pressure put on the under-inside of the leg (armpit) is not tolerable for them, it makes it bunch up under the arm and pull so bad they really can not walk without quite a bit of difficulty. I would buy more of these coats if the XL was really XL. I do so wish they had a XXL that I could try...These are lightweight,, insulated, wonderful looking coats...seemingly well made. and I think, inexpensive for what you get. They do close with velcro under the dogs stomach which is not the easiest place to get to , but works. I have been looking for a coat like this for my 2 girls forever.... light , insulated, easy to wear for them. I like these so much I may actually add a strip down the back to make the legs openings fall in the proper place. JUst a couple inches might do it... If anyone knows of a coat like this that will fit my 'proper' breed type sized dobemans, PLease respond.. thanks.

My dog hates the cold and snow, but when visiting my parents she has to deal with it. I usually have a sweater on her, and then this over the top. She is 38 pounds) (22 inch chest) and this fits her perfectly. The Velcro makes it easy to get on and off of her and it seems well made.

When trying to decide was size to get I was reading the reviews because the size chart is not helpful. People said it ran small so I got an x-large thinking from the chart my dog would be a large. Its too long but fits snug in the chest. The arm holes are not where they should be or something? Its cute but fits funny. I will have to take it in on the sides and shorten it but fits snug around chest and front leg area. Also velcro closure on the belly a little inconvenient.
