I purchased this pet mat for an odd reason. While trying to get my chicken ark winterized in preparation for cold weather, I discovered there was really not room in the upstairs of the ark where the chickens sleep, for even a light bulb to keep them warm. I began trying to come up with another way. No room for a heater, plus the danger of a fire in such a small enclosed space.

I checked into numerous things, including a foot warmer mat, but most were not designed for outdoor use.

I came across these mats and thought they were the best thing I could use...warm, but not hot, easy to clean (chickens are really messy) and there is wire around the cord to discourage chewing. My chickens, of course, peck at anything unfamiliar to them. This was the product for me and for my chickens.

I have only had the mat plugged in for a few days, because we have had a week long run of cold weather. I also have it plugged into a thermostatically controlled plug. It is a plus that there is little to no risk of fire.

I think this mat will work out just fine for me and my chickens! Nice product.

I bought this for an outside shelter for some stray cats who live next to my garage. Keep it plugged in during cold weather in the water tight enclosure (to keep it dry) and it works great.

My new Beagles love the dog house when they are outside while I am gone. Problem is that they are house dogs, and really don't like the cold, even when they can snuggle up with warm blankets and each other. This mat fits the large dog house well, and allows both of them to look happy and comfortable inside it.

The house is molded plastic with a top that fits over the base. I drilled a hole in the base large enough for the plug to pass through. Then I plugged the mat into an outdoor extension cord and covered the connection with a unit designed to keep out moisture. The other end of the cord went into an outside outlet with GFI protection (important). That outlet is turned on and off by a switch inside my house; a red light glows when it is on.

The mat is very hard plastic nearly an inch thick. It appears to be dog proof. The included cover is junk. It is thin and barely covers the top of the mat. What dog neatly keeps his cover centered on his bed? Two older large human blankets work quite well, but it is a good idea to rearrange them when necessary so the mat is covered.

My pooches are very happy with their mat, and that makes me happy.

I love this bed. My big outside dogs got the soft one taken away because they started chewing on it, so they got this one and I have noticed they haven't moved it and both try to use it. It's a great buy for pups or dogs who chew. My dogs have a huge yard, but still chew on things. The cord is reinforced with coiled wire to prevent them from chewing on it as well.

Piece is well made, sturdy. Throws off good heat, but not too hot. We have it inside a outdoor Cat house I built. It is insulated so this seems to be enough to keep the whole house warm.

Our outdoor cat is on it all the time. A little possum also stops by often to groom itself and hang out.

I bought the medium and large Jet Set pet carrier through Amazon for my Chihuahua and Dachshund after looking at all the other carriers in New York pet stores. I simply wanted an attractive and rugged dog carrier that could genuinely withstand the rigors of travel and protect my dogs against inevitable knocks and jolts. It needed to be well padded and offer far more protection than the most popular soft carrier but also be able to squeeze under an airplane seat. However at home, I needed something that wasn't so utilitarian that it needed to be shut away but instead could function as a subtle and sensible den.

On the whole, I found almost all the competition either too feminine bordering on the stupid and/or too flimsy for serious consideration by anyone not just considering flying with a dog, but for any travel whether by car, subway or even bicycle!

The Jet Set carriers have proven themselves as very tough and practical. I like their well padded interiors and simple tough exterior (though I wish they came in other colors especially black or dark brown). The floor, side walls and ceiling all have what feels like at least a half inch of foam padding on a semi-rigid backing. The interior padding is covered in a soft black cloth. I wish that the floor was removable or there was a fleece lining I could buy so I simply line it with newspaper and cover with an old folded bath mat. The exterior shell in tough thick ballistic nylon (that as I mentioned I wish came in other more muted colors). On either side are windows with roll-up cover flaps and both ends have zippered soft nylon mesh openings. These offer a good mix of ventilation and privacy that some other dog carriers don't either too much or too little. Also my Dachshund has chewed through the soft plastic mesh of other brand dog carriers (that I was unhappy with for all the reasons I like the Jet Set) but at best, just flossed his teeth on the Jet Set's mesh.

I completely endorse and recommend the Jet Set bag. I can't imagine there is a better dog carrier on the market I certainly didn't find one in the dozen or more pet stores I visited in Manhattan ranging from Petco to very high end designer shops. They've performed amazingly well and at about $110 were excellent value for money especially compared to both cheaper and much more expensive carriers that look foolish and don't offer your dog enough protection on the move. I've seen some people on airplanes that have "fashion" dog bags that one could see were completely inadequate and inwhich the dog was uncomfortable and miserable. My dogs love their Jet Sets as dens at home (tucked under dining chairs in the corner of a room) and inasmuch seem just as relaxed and happy curled up/stretched out in them on the subway, in a plane or car.

I have a large 13 lb cat that I bought this bag for. The size was just right for him to stand and turn around. I traveled with this bag on American Airlines with no issue. Though the bag fit under the seat in front of me, it is a bit long. I was fortunate in that the person seated next to me did not have any carry-on luggage to stow as my bag did encroach into his space.

The mesh ventilation is good and bad. Good in that it is sturdy and will not be easily torn. Bad in that the holes are very small, providing little air flow. My cat was damp when I finally landed and was able to pull him out. I believe it to be due to the humidity build up in the bag.

The straps on the bag are awkward. The handle straps work ok. I was able to hold onto the bag this way for a while. Due to the size of the cat and his movement, it was hard to keep a steady balance. The shoulder straps were not that great. With a smaller pet, it might have been ok. When my cat would shift weight it would cause the bag to tip and my cat to slide to the bottom, resulting in the bag flipping on end. I ended up carrying him with two hands through the airport to try and keep the bag level.

Overall. The bag is good. It works with a larger cat and met the airline's requirements, which is just what I needed.

I definitely knew what the dimensions were when I ordered this because I needed to make sure it fit the requirements of United Airlines, however, this thing is really small! My dog will fit in it but she barely has room to curl up, she's going to be making the sides bulge to do so. She's a Chihuahua/Terrier, 12 pounds, and about 12" from collar to base of tail.

The mesh windows do seem very durable. My complaint is that the windows aren't big enough to give her much visual while inside. And it's difficult for me to see her inside of it and make sure she's comfortable.

Also the backpack "straps" are very uncomfortable, there is not padding on them and after wearing it with the dog for a few minutes they started to dig into my shoulders.

The top of the carrier has some "give" so it should be able to fit under any plane seat. Other carriers I've seen have very stiff piping that don't allow much pushing down on the top--which is good for safety reasons...Overall this carrier has lots and lots of padding to protect the dog on all sides.

My last "complaint" is that the soft insert that lies on the carrier floor doesn't velcro down, so that could move around a bit but it's not as bad as other carriers I've seen. We're taking her on a flight in about a month, so hopefully all goes well.

Bought these bells several months ago while trying to potty train my Pomeranian. The bells were beautiful, just as described and were made in a very durable fashion. I hung them on my front door and for a while very faithfully had my pup ring them with his paw before he went outside. Month after month ... eventually I lost patience. Instead of ringing the bells, Bruce comes up to my and stands up on his hind legs and gives me "the stare." When I ask him if he needs to potty outside he does a double jump almost up to my chest to say yes. If he doesn't he just walks away. So instead of me training him to use the bells, he has trained me to ask the question and then he tells me yes or no. *sigh* The amazing thing is that this morning, I was ignoring the fact that he was jumping all around and clearly needed to go outside because I had to leave for work in an hour, and had taken him out about two hours earlier. I wanted to wait and take him out right before I left for work. Well he got so desperate wonder of wonders, he went over and rang the bells!! So I think that he knows and makes the connection to ring them, but he has just decided that it is so much easier to just tell me in person rather than use the bells to let me know what he wants. I believe that if you were a little more persistent that I was, or if your dog is just more into them then these would work great for you!

It wasn't very hard to teach my puppy to use these bells for potty training, but he also figured out another use for these. He will ring these every time he gets bored and wants to just go out and play. On average, he rings the bells about 4 times every hour. So it becomes Russian roulette if I decide to ignore when he paws the bells.

I have a well-mannered French Bulldog puppy of 11 months. Up until a few months ago, he was still having the occasional accident, but it seemed pretty clear that he simply didn't know how to let me know that he needed or wanted to go outside.

I purchased these bells and hung them on the back door. At first, the bells terrified him, and he wanted nothing to do with them. However, I patiently followed the instructions, and we rang the bell together each time he went out. For awhile, he ignored the bells, but then one day, he gently nudged them... I promptly praised him and let him out. He began to ring the bells regularly and lets me know know daily when he'd like to go out by nudging the bells.

I still put him out on a schedule, too, but it sure is nice not to have to clean up anything inside.

This makes it very ease to train your puppy. I bumped his paw or nose with it the first couple of times to signal outside, and he was good after that. The product is made from a nylon ribbon and has big bells. Quality seems okay, it has held up. I did notice that it is making a couple of marks on the door and trim where the bells swing back and forth when opening the door, so that might be a concern for some people.

I use size XL for my 55lb boxer girl. Neither the XL or the L fit well straight out of the package. I also bought iron-on velcro to extend the velcro already on the diaper; It makes it fit around the legs and stay on(and in my opinion is totally necessary). I also sewed the tail hole closed since her tail was too short and incorrectly positioned to utilize the tail hole. A large probably could've fit if my dog didn't need diaper liners/pads, but with the pads you definitely need a little extra room. I use Tena Heavy and Long. They're about $10-12 for a 42 pack. In combination with the pads and the velcro, these cover-ups are great. They launder easily, and my dog doesn't mind them as much as other brands. They're lightweight and comfortable, yet do the job.

First of all I ordered a size L, for my 50 lb boxer. They were WAY too small. I sent them back and got an XL. They fit better, but still wont stay in place like they should. I am constantly having to adjust them and re-tighten them. I ended up just buying a pair of little kids underwear and putting a maxi-pad in them, that worked way better and was cheaper.

Worked perfect for a small great dane I was fostering that went in to heat. She was small (just under 100 lbs.) so these were great for more active days in the house, but I used the XXL for night time/sleeping. I added a women's maxi pad (the cheaper ones worked better for some reason) for absorbency. Great product and I would buy more if I ever needed more. I kept 4 pairs around so I wasn't doing laundry all the time, but that seemed to be enough.

I actually saw this at a pet store near my neighborhood for $65 and it was in the Green/orange color with the monkeys...and decided to review online. When I found it on here with the leopard print in pink....thought it was soo cute. I have a teacup yorkie and this is perfect for her. She is almost 3 pounds lots of room for her.

This pet carrier is great, it fits my 6lb Chihuahua perfectly. She can curl up and lay down in it or just sit and look out like the queen she is. It has the safety leash inside and I do have to use it otherwise my Trixie thinks she can fly. The carrier is great quality, very pretty and will sit in a shopping cart child seat just fine. I can take her just about anywhere they allow pets or there's no food service. I also have a pet sling and I use that as well, but even though it rests over your shoulder, you still have to support the pet on the bottom. This carrier has its own support so I don't have to do that. As long as I'm not bouncing up and down and running about she is content in the carrier and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a nice cot and fairly easy to assemble. However, there are two areas customers should be aware of. First the feet are plastic and they are shaped like a three-leaf clover. So it is virtually impossible to cover the foot with a protective covering if you want to place it on a hardwood floor. Fortunately mine is for use on a tile floor.

The second is customer service from the company, which is close to non-existent. One of the stoppers for a top corner was missing (should have been caught in product review process). I made daily calls to the company. One girl answered. Said my problem wasn't her area and the girl who handled it was out. I left my phone number. I was never called. I finally gave up, put the bed together and marked this company off my list.

The stopper is a small round item that the company should have easily been able to place in an envelop and mail to me.

This cot is NOT what was shown in the Amazon photo and write-up. First of all it was extremely difficult to assemble. Clearly not an assembly job for one person.

Secondly it differs in both color and size from the write-up. It measures only 31" x 37" x 6" and is a dark green-brown color with the same yellowish legs as as shown in the photo.

The retail box was broken and damaged and it looked used. When it says for a LARGE PET better make that a LARGE CAT as our LARGE DOG is hanging out over the edges.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and would never purchase from this supplier again.

I purchased this cot for the purpose of deterring my dog from laying on the dirty brick sidewalk and to raise her off the floor in situations where laying on the floor could pose a threat (i.e. camping where there are many bugs). This is a very sturdy, nicely-made cot that I put together in about 5 minutes. It will be easy to transport on our trips and, as calculated by the online measurements, it fits perfectly into the ABO Dog Haus. For someone looking for a "covered cot" situation, I was apprehensive of the models that come with the cot/cover all-in-one because none looked wide or tall enough for my large dog to stretch out in--which is why I purchased the cot and the tent separately but with the intent to use together. A couple years ago I purchased one of these Maze dog beds and a Coolaroo for my one dog because I wanted one outside and one inside and I couldn't decide which brand to go with. The Maze is a much better bed, in my opinion. The coolaroo is easier to put together but the screws tend to get loose and then the bed legs become unstable. The Maze was not difficult to put together, I am not a "tool person" or mechanically inclined at all, it just takes a little wrench and tightening 8 bolts, really no big deal!

My dog with the Coolaroo is 8 years old and not very active so the screw loosening is not due to her activity. I find that I have to tighten them every month to two months when all she does is sleep on it. The Maze dog bed is very stable, I screwed it together a few years ago, have moved it around all over the house and it is just as stable as the day I put it together.

When we got a puppy I ordered another of the Maze beds because I have been so happy with the first one. With an extremely active 40lb, 5 month old puppy this bed has withstood her abuse! She does jump on it, and chew on it, and scratch at it...all the things puppies do which you wish they wouldn't...and it's still in great shape. I am sure the coolaroo would have collapsed under her running leaps, it is simply a tougher bed.

I do really like the style of this bed keeping the dogs off the floor. Living in the desert SW it's really nice to keep them up off the cold tile in the winter and let air circulate around them in the hot summer.

The Maze Pets 9303 Cool Cot Elevated Pet Bed, Large is a GREAT value for the price. The metal frame is heavy duty and sturdy the mesh is also heavy duty. We have no fear of it ripping. I was worried about the quality of both frame and mesh when I bought it....have no fears...this bed is a well made product. As for size we have 2 dogs both Labrador retrievers. Bestla is a 65lb female and Thor a 90lb male; it has plenty of room for either dog. A larger bed would not be needed....one could go smaller (med.), if need be, for Bestla; it is perfect in size for Thor. The bed also fits into the trunk of our Chev. Cobalt....barely. You would NOT want to have to take this bed apart and put together again on a regular basis. So, I would not say this bed is really portable if you don't have room to take it with you as is. The only thing that could be improved on would be some type of rubber cap/cover on the side bolts. The side of my piano has taken a beating. But, this is something that anyone could pick up, for very little, at any hardware store. I would recommend the maze pets 9303 cool cot elevated pet bed to anyone looking for a bed of this type it is perfect for "place" training. A bonus not only do we like it but Bes likes it too.

This has been a great pen with a lot of space and very safe. I have owned mine for over a year and it is the only pen that can contain my 3 ferrets. I bought one from a different brand and it only took my ferret Jello 5 minutes to figure out how to escape. This pen will hook up easily and opens easily for cleaning. With all 11 panels hooked up it is large enough for me to sit in and play with my ferrets in, which has been great. It is in my opinion the best set up for ferrets especially for apartment dwellers like myself. I think I had to buy a separate canvas mat to put underneath it which is a must to keep ferrets from digging at carpet/floor. I love this pen and I highly recommend it to all ferret owners that want to keep their ferrets but need a contained environment for them to keep them safe...and to keep their deposits on their apartments :O) This pen is the smartest designed pen I have found on the market. I inherited my late sister's ferrets and although I love animals, I wasn't happy with the usual ferret alternatives: keep them caged up, give them the run of a limited area (which I tried but which promptly became a hygiene nightmare) or give them the run of the house and be careful of treading in ferret poop. For readers who are voluntary ferret parents, I completely understand the appeal and I "get" that I was undereducated, unprepared, not particularly enthusiastic and probably ill-informed about ferret care. But even I could see that the largest big-dog cage available wasn't adequate for such active little guys, but giving them unfettered access to any free space meant signing up for intensive poo-cleaning duties. I tried giving them the run of the house but could never find them when it was time to put them back in the spare bathroom where they ran free. I really struggled with the idea of paying $75 for this collection of wire panels, but it really did solve the problem. I set it up in a tiled, air-conditioned sunroom in about 5 minutes flat it is absolutely foolproof. The brackets connecting the panels are metal and appear very sturdy. There are plastic latches to connect the last 2 panels into a circle and they might be the first pieces that fail, but they are pretty heavy and could in a pinch be replaced with twist ties or wire. The little guys, who could climb onto a 4" bathroom counter, couldn't climb their way out of this contraption. They seemed to feel more free without a top to cage them in and it was easier for me to step in and give them attention. My cats never jumped inside (it's a pretty tall wall to jump or even step into from the ground) but they could nuzzle and bat through the outside, which the ferrets seemed to enjoy. Luckily, a more ferret-aware friend adopted the two little guys but she still found this to be a useful tool in introducing them to her own ferret, since they could interact without being able to attack each other. I've fostered a number of small animals over the years and would give this an enthusiastic thumbs-up for rodents (are ferrets and gerbils rodents? Anyway, for that sort of animal) and even for small dogs. This product is a little like the anchor so simple it seems incredible that no one has thought of it before or that one would need to pay for it, but so incredibly effective that it's worth it!

This sturdy pen turned out to be very useful for me. I have two female rats, one who comes when called and the other who doesn't. The one who doesn't is also fatter and can't climb out of this pen, although the other girl can. I guess it's mainly a ferret pen so I wasn't sure if it would work for the ratties, but in my particular situation it works great. The bars are too close together for the girls to either slip through or get their heads stuck. All in all I would recommend this both as a playpen for ferrets OR rats, especially if your rats are on the large, fat side! :)

Picked up this playpen for my ferret. I use it as an extension to his cage so that he has room to run around while I am not around. He has never escaped and doesn't seem particularly interested in escaping as it offers a fairly large area for him to do his thing. It unlatches pretty easily and can be expanded by adding more panels. When not in use it folds up pretty neatly as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a functional, seemingly ferret proof solution.

I must say, having this playpen has been a lifesaver. It's durable and I have had no problems with escaping critters. The only thing I don't like is that the whole thing is attached together, except at the two ends. I had thought it was more flexible in terms of use and that each section could detach, but I suppose it does make it safer int he end. And honestly, it's not that hard to pry the wires apart so that you can detach them.

If you do buy this product and are planning on moving it around frequently (i use mine outdoors and indoors), then I would HIGHLY recommend getting the tote bag. The cage is heavier than it looks and not as easy to move around as I had thought it would be. Especially the 11-panel one.

This dog disc is very durable, but it flies poorly. The outer ring is made from very tough and somewhat soft rubber. The problem is that this rubber is a bit floppy and quite heavy. The floppiness makes it hard to throw accurately. The heavy weight makes the disc sink quickly, which makes it very hard for the dog to catch it. The Hyperflite 'Jawz' discs are about the same price and work MUCH better. They are also nearly indestructible, but they fly great too.

This frisbee is super! Our lab went thru plastic frisbees in a matter of a week or two. His teeth would puncture the hard plastic and he would then get cut gums from the rough edges of the puncture holes. We have been using this frisbee for over two years now and it still glows in the dark and it still is intact. It is his favorite toy; so much so that he will bring it to bed with him at night.

***Note: Two the low ratings are from the same person, and are a straight-out copy. Don't be fooled by the low ratings. This is well worth the money!

*Not* recommended:

1) Poor quality control: central rigid plate is significantly off-center resulting in unstable flight.

2) Poor choice of materials: outer soft plastic is too soft. I suspect it will tear easily (but, frankly I don't ever expect ever to use it again as there are better choices see below).

3) Poor flight characteristics: just does not fly well or far and excessively heavy.

**I would recommend starting your puppy with the soft, dirt-cheap, nylon fabric "Flippy Floppers" available at WalMart buy several in bright easily-locatable colors and expect your puppy to chew them up relatively quickly. Considering their price they fly and roll well. (The Kong rubber discs are also acceptable for variety and more durable). When she's ready to graduate to a rigid disc without injury, go for the Hyperflite Jawz. They are the best dog discs I know of: well designed (though I'm not a fan of "fast-back" designs in general), made from an incredibly durable plastic (not a tooth mark yet), they have outstanding flight characteristics (they are even fine as a general tossing disc, though a bit small) and can be thrown a good distance despite their light weight (which is a good for your dog's teeth and jaw safety). My rat terrier loves frisbees! She has a yard full, as a matter of fact 2 of these same ones partially together...lol. This is her 3 rd. when getting one, she always picks this frisbee...I will say tho, it does not glow in the dark...but she still can catch it. She's obsessed. I'm sure I will buy more. Don't waste your money on other frisbees...this one is the best.

My first effort in finding a doghouse was the PETMATE Dogloo Xt Medium which was way too small. But the PETMATE Barn Medium is just right for my 20# puppy. While the igloo shape of the Dogloo is fun, it takes up more ground space, even tho it's much smaller inside. Also, it's much harder to get into the igloo for cleaning purposes or to retrieve a toy. Jedi loved to rest inside this barn on hot days when the sun was beating down on her. And now that fall has come, she frequently takes refuge inside when it's raining or windy. The barn is sturdy, snaps together effortlessly, is easy to clean...perfect!

My dog constntly barks at the back door so I would open to let her out. Most of the time she didn't go outside. Now she still barks at the back door, but rings the bells only when she needs to go outside to toilet. I didn't think dogs could figure this out, but it works. It's a little early to tell if it will work, also I may need to get a second set since it's a town house with two floors and we spend a lot of time on the second floor. Cute product and my dog actually uses them! We had him pretty much potty trained in the first week we got them! Sometimes he will ring the bell just to go out and play, and after a while when we start ignoring him he'll have an "accident" in the house which I think is his way of saying "let me out or else!". My boyfriend thought I was silly for buying these, but he ate his words, he's happily surprised!

This is a really cute magnet, but I wish that it was a little better made. I put it on the back of my car and after several months, it has started to peel.
