I got two for my German Shepherds and was very disappointed the moment I received them. The " leather" was cracked at bend where folded. After a month of them wearing it the color was so cracked and the metal ring rubbed and made it very dirty. Very cheap looking :(

The collar was stiff and the clasp was useless. The clasp was like a belt but it didn't stay. The moment my dog made the slightest movement the collar would come off, with not even the slightest amount of hold. It was a complete waste of my money.

The color of this collar is true to the image, but the leather is extremely stiff. I plan on finding a way to soften it a bit before putting it on my dog. It's also slightly annoying that there isn't a loop to hold the excess color to itself, as it sticks out awkwardly straight.

I thought the leash would come with the collar due to the picture but it didn't [which isn't too big of a deal I guess, I have alot of leashes anyway]. On the picture it looks almost lime green like and very girly but when i opened it, it was more of 2 shades up from an army green. I love the white outline on it though. I bought the 18-22 inch for my 1 yr old doberman pinscher/great dane mix [she usually wears the 19/20 hole] but it was way too big [had it on the 18 hole and it was sliding off her neck] and boyish looking anyway for her. Luckily I have a male american bulldog that it'll hopefully fit... If it doesn't, then I guess it'll be for our next dog we get eventually. It also looks and feels fake leather like, I was expecting more of the leather look and feel to it. Hopefully it will withstand long enough to be worth the price for it. Overall it's just an ok collar.

I purchased one of these pet training trays to give it a try. I also purchased the 17x24 wee wee puppy underpads to go along with the tray. The wee wee pads fit this tray perfectly.

When the pad is installed, the edges point up in a groove making a 1/2 inch rim of plastic all the way around the boarder. This makes for very easy clean up when the pad is full. There is no leakage under the pad to the tray. I was so impressed with this tray that I had to purchased 2 more.

I have a 19 lbs sheltie that is home alone all day long while I am at work and sometimes the tray is overflowing, but because the tray makes the pad form a rim all the way arround the boarder, clean up is a breeze.

I would highly recommend this to anyone with small pets. PS I had purchased a different tray that had a grid on the top that eliminates the need for the wee wee pads, but unfortunately, my dog will not use the tray with the grid installed, she does her business beside the tray. And that tray was $50. I truly believe that this is a great buy and it works wonderful.

If you want to save $.21 cents per pad for pads that work just as well maby better than the 17x24 pads that are advertised here Use under pads for bed ridden patients. You can find these at Sams Club in the medical dept. They come in a box of 120 pads for $24.95 that measure 34x24 inches and 17x24 inches cut in half giving you 240 pads for $24.95 a savings of $.21 cents per pad.I've used these pads for 3 years now and they work great!! they have baking soda inside the pads to keep odor from being a problem and are much thicker and more absorbant I'm sure that you can find these pads where ever medical supplies are sold. But Sam's has the best price that I've found. I hope this helps.

The tray itself is neat, compact and easy to change. The only drawback is that I use Arm & Hammer weewee pads which are wider than the holder itself. So I have to fold the sides of the pad to fit and this cuts down on the amount of space the puppy can use. However, compared to the other holders, this one is cheaper and does its job. Another benefit is that my puppy used to go on the sides of the weewee pad and would sometimes spill on to my hardwood floors. Since the holder is elevated, there's a LOT less of a chance for spillage, which is great for me and great for my floors.

First of all, before anyone looks at my title and shakes their head in disgust, let me say that pads are shreddable. If your dog stands on this holder and digs...it will shred the pad. If your dog is big enough to grab the pad edge through the sides and shake vigorously, it may be drug around and/or be torn loose. The product itself cannot be blamed if your dog looks at it like a chew toy.

That being said, this is one of the better pad holders I've seen. Other holders I've looked at in pet supply stores had thin edges or no bottom and were going for 15-20 dollars. This one has a nicely rounded and attractive edge with enough thickness to it that my dogs don't like to hang over the edge. It's nicely elevated to distinctly differentiate it from the rest of the floor. And it's solid enough that the dogs don't hesitate stepping on it or feel unsecure when walking about.

I have three chihuahuas...two of them new pups...and this has been a "best buy" for me. My chis were already started on pee pads, but they would constantly walk/slide all through them while playing or occasionally grab the edge of one and beginning running around the room with it. That doesn't happen with this holder. Because of its bulky sides and slight elevation, the chis avoid it while playing just like any other piece of furniture...but it's not so high that they don't feel comfortable getting on. It also prevents side errors as they can't stand half-in and half-out like with something flush to the ground.

The materials are rounded and nicely constructed. The grommets hold the pad securely and taut without stretching or readjusting. It takes all of ten seconds to put a new pad in and snap the lid on. So far the liners have never leaked, but I do appreciate the bottom on these in case there ever were an accidental overflow. The overeall design is aesthetically pleasing, and it's not an eyesore when lying on the ground.

I honestly can't think of a better design without significantly increasing cost or switching to a more traditional litter box. An excellent buy for the money, especially with free shipping. I've now got two, and would recommend this product to anyone wanting an indoor potty system.

***Having now had this for a couple of months, let me add that I'm still extremely satisifed with my purchase. In fact, I wanted to mention one more attribute that I hadn't found until recently. Because of its slick surface and one-piece design, there's very little cleanup if an accident happens to spill over or land on the holder itself. No grooves for little messes to get into. Just a wipe here and there will get it done until it's time for the scheduled washing. Fantastic holder.

I bought this product thinking it would probably be really cheap looking and non-durable due to it's very reasonable price (1/2 of others I'd seen). I was very pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite It is very well made, very sturdy plastic and well-designed. Someone else mentioned their mini-dachshund wouldn't go near it which also concerned me as I have the same breed. She didn't use it at first but when I confined her in a small area with it she did use it and continues to do so. Dachshunds are notoriously difficult to housetrain so I don't think the product was to blame. I strongly recommend anyone considering this to go for it. In fact, I'm on this site to order another that I can put in another room for my pet.

when i adopted my 6 week old pup her owner's gave me a couple of these pee pads and she never had an accident. since we didn't want to change things too much for her, we ordered another box online since we couldn't find it in the store. i thought they might be on the pricey side so the next time i switched to one's i bought from walmart. HORRIBLE IDEA! when you look at their pad it's patchy & not woven all the way through. so i returned those and went to costco, the price was WAY better than walmart, but STILL not as good; i had plenty of accidents, and although i saved in price, i made it up with carpet deodorant & ton's of towels to mop up her accidents. out of all the pad's we've tried, this one's never failed!

The bells give off plenty of sound and when it's too much the lobster claw allows me to take them off when I'm feeling over sensitive to the sounds. I got this for my cat who loves to kill birds. The first bells I got only lasted for a few days when he lost his breakaway collar somehow. It was a Lupine collar with a "breakaway" plastic fastener, which obviously was too easily opened. I ordered another set of bells for him and a better stretchy collar, and so far no more dead birds on my doorstep. The lobster claw clasp is very easily attached to his collar, and it makes more noise than just one bell, which is what bell collars come with. I think the 3 bells on this product are much better for alerting birds, and my cat does not seem to be bothered by them at all.

We recently adopted 3 wonderful, adorable pups 2 of whom are still in their "chewing stage". Based on the recommendation of friends, we decided to give the "Kong" a try and it's awesome!

"Kongs" are made to be extremely strong, so they don't fall apart when the little ones chew on them for hours (or even when our big guy decides to have a little chewing action on it himself). We've found that our dogs love them as is, but they REALLY get into it when we insert a treat or some of the "Kong" vitamin-enriched tasty paste into the open cavity. They'll spend lots of time and energy attempting to get the treat out (which is unlikely) &/or enjoying the "tasty paste".

Overall, we found this to be a great toy for our "little ones" it provides them with something that they're allowed to chew & that I as a "puppy parent" don't have to worry about falling apart due to long bouts of gnawing. Our dogs give the "Kong" a "2 paws up"!!!

We just started puppy school and the trainer said that we should give all our puppy's meals in a kong or puzzle toy to keep them more occupied while they get their meal. It's amazing how well it works! It makes her meal span out for about 45 minutes, instead of chowing down and then running around and getting everything. Right now we have 6 Kongs packed up and ready to go2 mini, 2 medium, and 3 largedepending on what she gets it for (meals, treats, alone time, etc.). I put a treat all the way in the bottom and then kibble to the opening and then close it with a little all natural peanut butter and then put them in the freezer. I recommend this to whoever has a puppy who is starting to get into everything and want to keep them occupied for awhilestuffing them can be a project, but it's definitely worth the piece of mind.

As a four-pawed 'person' I must confess, I love my small Kong toy. Being just 10 lbs., I usually want soft toys, but this little rubber toy is terrific. My family puts peanut butter into the small opening of the Kong and then I spend a lo-o-o-ng time licking it out. I enjoy sniffing it and chewing the rubber even when there's nothing left inside. Yum, just my kind of activity when my staff--er, family--leaves me at home. I know I'm a guy (even though I'm no longer a stud muffin) but, I kinda' like the hot pink and white marbled look of my Kong. And it's so well-made, I don't think they'll have to buy me another one--unless I hide this one like I hid my blue one.

I have purchased this toy for two puppies in the past three years. It is excellent to use with crate training. I put the treats in only when they are to go into their crate and they are happy to be in there. It has been the favorite toy for both my Yorkie and my new puppy, a Cairn Terrier. They love time in the crate with this and will grab it out of their crate to play with it around the house.

My puppy LOVES his puppy Kong. Be warned though you will need to watch these types of Kong as your dog gets older to make sure their jaws aren't strong enough to chew them apart. They are made to be a bit "softer" so that puppies have an easier time to chew on it. This keeps my puppr busy for some time when I am gone at work AND he loves playing with the kong when it is empty now.

Note: Most puppies will not automatically start chewing on a Kong. you have to use things to make him want to chew on it. Some people use the "easy cheese" Kong spray can. It works for some dogs, doesn't work for others. Some people use peanut butter with kibble. This can do the trick but remember peanut butter is fattening and not really nutrious for your puppy. I, personally, will use part of my puppies kibble (sometimes other treats)and then canned wet food for dogs. I mix it and then put it in the freezer overnight. He loves it and it keeps him busy a lot longer than smearing wet food or peanutbutter in it.

This toy, although quite floppy, wasn't very moppy. I attempted to give this duck to my dog as a Christmas present, but I think he took it as an insult due to the poor construction of the toy. He destroyed the toy within 15 minutes of playing with it, and he's been depressed now for 3 weeks because the Floppy Moppy Duck was his only Christmas present this year. I speak for both of us when I say that there are much better toys out there for dogs.

I disagree with the other review. So far I've had this toy for over a month in my house and its still going strong. It is one of the few toys my dog will actually fetch as he is not big on fetching most things so I was happy about that. He squeezes it a lot in his month so I think he likes the texture of it. Obviously, it's a plush toy so if your dog tears up plush toys don't spend the money. It's not a waste if you've got a dog like mine that likes to throw plush toys around the house and chase after them. This has provided hours of fun in our house and I highly recommend it!

In all fairness, I must say our dog loved this toy, she was crazy about it but it only provided fun for about 10 minutes. Our dog is not a big destroyer, but the moment she got this toy, it just became her intention to destroy it. Maybe it was the interesting texture, but first she removed most of the duck's "feathers" on its head, and the toy itself was made so poorly and with such weak materials, it very soon lost all the fluff. I tried sawing it twice, so it would not be all gone in 10 minutes, but everytime I gave it back, it wouldn't last long until it was riped and stuffing was coming out. Don't buy it for a dog unless you have money to waste!

This is a nice house--and is nice enough to put in my kitchen, however, the dome is a bit flmsey. I wish it was a little more stiff but its do able. I like it and the plus is it matches my kithen --has a strudy zipper in the front and back--it has a nice floor mat that appears to be very comfortable. I not sure how the mat will wash so i put dog blankets over it for more comfort

I've bought my dog (Border Collie/Welsh Cardigan Corgi mix)a lot of stuffed toys, most of which are destroyed within hours. My 12 lbs Jack Russel Terrier mix loves this toy and sleeps with it every night (it's about half his size but he has no trouble walking around with it). It is durable (we have played tug-of-war with it and there are no visible rips of loose strings anywhere), it has a small squeaker that kind of floats inside that you can use, and it's super cute. I totally recommend the toy.

I bought this toy for my medium sized dog and it has been one of her absolute favorites. My wife and I were pretty set on NOT getting a squeaky toy for our pup until we dog sat a friend's dog and our little Kona played with the other dog's squeaky toy all weekend. So I picked up this Zanies Dinosaur for her. She has of course shredded the yellow triangles on the spine and chewed all the white teeth but this thing keeps on giving! This was the only bike basket I could find for my 24 lb. Boston Terrier (most carriers seem to be for 12 lbs and under). When it's all strapped onto my bike, it's quite sturdy. My dog tends to lean to one side or the other and the thing doesn't shift. It has a nice plush interior and he seems to be comfy and really enjoy the ride.

p.s. Only works if you have a splash guard/bike rack already installed onto the back of your bike. This is what the basket sits on for it's support.

p.s.s. The interior strap works best if your dog is wearing a harness, not a collar. The latch is in the back of the basket and it only goes up so far and it's easier to attach onto a ring on their back than one further up on their neck. He was more comfortable and secure latched in with the harness.

I bought this for my 12 pound Boston Terrier (she is small). I didn't want her weight over the front since it will affect steering and this was the only carrier made for the back.

Overall, it is pretty good. The instructions on installing it are not clear but I found this YouTube video that explains it better:

I do not know if it is because my bike has a large frame or something else but the location of the buckles made their install method not work well. I had to come up with my own that went to the bottom of the rack instead. My way works very well and hold it on quite securely.

One of my biggest gripes is that there isn't much on how to attach your dog. I followed what I think was their method and she jumped out once. Side note: You MUST use a harness and not a collar!!! Anyway, I put her back in with the strap woven through her harness and it held her more. Or, she found out that being held by the harness hurts and bit and didn't jump again. She hung there so it isn't like she hit the ground. Still, not good.

I am going to say it again, use a harness and not a collar. It would have broken her neck if she jumped with a collar holding her.

So, to sum it up with some new points.

Pros:

Unique (didn't find any other rear carriers)

Very padded. (We put it on the floor when not on the bike and she uses it as a bed)

Reflector is very visible

Washable

Cons:

Not great instructions for installation

Even worse instructions for dog attachment

Dog was able to jump when used (seemingly) properly

+ She was still safe and not on the ground!

Very large to store (not so bad since she uses it as a bed too)

This would be a great dog seat for a larger small dog (15-25 lbs). My dog is 12 lbs with a short stocky build and the seat was much bigger than necessary. It's huge on the back of your bike (sticks out in all directions), and kind of a hassle to mount. That being said, my neighbor's dog weighs 22 lbs and is too big for most dog bike seats he fit perfectly in this seat and looked awfully comfortable. She bought it from me and it works great for him, although because of the effort to get it securely atached she doesn't use it often. Bottom line, it's not the most convenient, but it's a handy alternative to the smaller seats/baskets if your dog is pushing the weight limit.

Mac (my Westie) and I are the hit of every bike trail where we try to put in 20 miles a day. "There goes the old lady with the dog." It's a little difficult to tell how the dog is supposed to be restrained within the built in harness, but I just made it as small as possible and hooked the underside of his existing harness and it works very well. It must be fairly snug or they can still fall out and dangle until you can stop and pull them back in. My husband was a little concerned about what would happen if I fell, with him not having a chance to 'escape.' I suppose he is correct, but not only have I not fallen, I now know who is #1 in my husband's eyes. LOL

This is the only carrier Ive seen that is big enough for a 20 lb dog. It is not meant for a very small dog but you can probably make some modifications to the harness to make it work. It is very stable and dog loves it! He comes to work with me on a short commute every day and this has been the perfect solution. He gets so excited when he sees me strap the carrier onto the bike. It is stable and goes on easily. The dog then uses the bike carrier as a dog bed under my desk at work.

Instructions for harnessing the dog to the carrier do not come with the product and Ive noticed several frustrated reviewers. Here is what worked well for me.. First, as product directions specify, use a harness on your dog (not a collar) for safety. The built-in harness is meant to keep the dog from standing up. Strap the built-in harness so it goes over the dogs butt and hook it to the dogs harness on his back, at the top nearest his head (or as high as it reaches depending on the size of your dog). Next stick his hind legs out the sides of the built in harness so he cant squirm out of it. Then take a carabeener (not included) or the dog's collar (depending on how much freedom you want him to have) and loop it around the extra horizontal strap inside the carrier and then attach it to the belly side of the dogs harness (often there is a loop by the dogs chest). This keeps him in really tight and he can't lean over too far to the side while trying to peek past me. I can actually make it tight enough so he has to lie down. It keeps him in one place and he cant shift his weight around too much affecting my balance. My dog doesnt mind this at all and lounges in the soft bed. Keeping him in tight also prevents him from falling out the side and getting squished by me and the bike if I had some accident...or jumping out (as some reviewers have mentioned) and causing me to lose balance. Ive experienced that people will beep excitedly at you to tell you how cute the dog is and if your dog startles easily you will want him in tight.

The carrier is made of foam which is a little sticky at the bottom where the cloth isnt attached. While you might find remnants of it stuck to your bike rack, the stickiness really keeps the carrier from slipping around. I think if it were made of more rugged solid material it wouldnt attach so snugly.

My only safety worry is that people will drive off the road because the dog looks so cute sitting on the back of the bike.
