This is a great idea and the sticker is a good quality that lasts! The problem is the inside of the bowl will begin to rust if the dog drools or water is placed in it. I was very disappointed when I saw the rust.

I looked at the options and figured this would be the best for an outdoor application. It is well thought out and easy to install. Took 2 days of training and now my golden has it down pat. WONDERFUL idea--congratulations to the inventor! LOVE IT!

I love the product! The dog was a bit confused at first because he couldn't hear the action of the bell when the door was closed (the ringer is located inside). However, treats tucked in behind the paddle and summer use of the screen door have helped!

Finally something that has worked to let my toy poodle learn to let us know she needs to go outside! I've used this for a month with my dog who has been very resistant to house breaking. It took her a solid three weeks to learn what the bell is for, but she also was about a year and quite confused about the whole house breaking bit. She learned to ring it almost immediately, which is great. Rather than use her nose, she whacks it with her paw. The down side is she learned it was a treat machine, so even though she was ringing it, It was for treats and out of boredom. Once the treats were taken away, and her access limited to when we knew she had to go out, progress was a lot faster. This is very well made and shows no sign of wear. The batteries have easily lasted this month, which was one of my big concerns. Overall, Highly recommend.

Honest reviews on Pebble Smart Doggie Doorbell

I have one of the dumbest dogs on the planet. He's sweet, gentle, caring and thick as a brick. He is also quite large so I was worried when we moved into a place with a glass backdoor. His "scratching" to be let in was shaking the house and I was afraid the glass would scratch or break.

I got two of these doorbells and even though he has NEVER been trained to do any type of doorbell, he was ringing to go in and out in 9 days! he got the ringing to go out part in 7 days, but the ringing to come back in part took a little longer. This doorbell made my dog look smart!!! The design where they can see you put the treat in and they can sniff the treat is brilliant! I tell everyone about this, it is genius and a total door saver!

This is a very clever little doorbell. Unfortunately my dog is not so clever. He doesn't seem to like to bonk the doorbell with his nose; he prefers to lick it but that doesn't always ring the bell. In spite of extensive training, he just can't quite get it. I think a set-up where the dog could step on the button instead of nudging it might be easier; in any case I can't bear to put all the blame on my little dim-wit, the product design must share some blame so I give it 4 stars, not 5.

Mouse In The House Cat Toy Reviews

Mouse In The House Cat Toy
Customer Ratings: 3 stars

I bought this item as soon as it was released. I work long hours and while my two cats usually keep each other entertained, I wanted something that they could play with without needing my interaction.

My cats took a few minutes to warm up to it, but once they realized what it was, they would sit and watch the mouse, paw at it, etc..

There is a timer that you can set so that when you are at work, the toy alerts the cats to come and play by giving off a bird chirping sound!

I used to set it to go on every hour.

One tipyou may have to give the kitties a break from this every couple of days. Once they get used to the toy, they get bored with it.

I turn it on now every 2-3 days.

I think the manufacturer should create one with a longer track for the mouse to travel on.. Overall I think its a good item.

We've had the Mouse in the House toy for just about a month now, and our cat still sits rapt for long stretches, waiting for the mouse to come out again. She hasn't learned to deliberately activate it by herself yet, but recently she's done it accidentally several times, and it seems likely that she'll put two and two together soon and learn to press the big red button on purpose. The mouse is remarkably durable, withstanding fierce pounces, being held back and prevented from escaping, and being dragged out of its hole by force. This is her favorite toy by a mile.

I have two 5 month old kittens who absolutely love this little gadget, however after only two short days the mouse would no longer stay on the track. There's a door you can open in the back to re-attach the mouse, however having to do this 4x a day isn't convenient. The motor is loud, the electronics get messed up and you have to switch the unit off and on to get it to work. Needs improvement and price is too high. Customer Service is excellent and very helpful.

Honest reviews on Mouse In The House Cat Toy

I bought this toy earlier in the month for my indoor-only cat. My cat loved playing with it the first week, although she never went crazy with it like other cats did as seen on the web videos. Two weeks later, the motor got extremely loud and high pitched whenever the mouse would make its run on the track. I checked the mouse and the track and found nothing abnormal or broken. The motor noise has gotten so bad now, my cat refuses to go near the toy when it is on.

Unless your cat is immune to loud noises, I cannot really recommend this toy to fellow cat lovers unless the company comes out with a better, less noisy and more durable motor (especially at this purchase price).

My cat ADORES this toy. As soon as the mouse chirps, she appears and hovers over the house. She'll plant herself on the tracks to block the mouse and will drag the house all over, hoping to get that wily mouse when it disappears.

When it broke after a year of heavy use, I had to buy a replacement because my cat was heartbroken without it.

This is a nice toy to have for automation. I wish there was a way to set track repetitions or time. Often, my cat likes to play with it for four-five rounds and the timer setting will only send the mouse around twice.

Expensive? Yes. But it's durable and gets much use, so I think it's worth the price.

I've had this item for about a year. If you get this itme use a covered litter box inside it unless you are absolutely certain your cat will never miss the box. The material the bottom is made of is not waterproof and will bubble, expand, and hold odor if it gets wet. I also recommend lining it with plastic contact paper before the first use to ensure it lasts longer. Other than that it is a good product that conceals litter boxes well

I moved from a large house in the country to an apartment in the city meaning closer quarters for my kitties, their litter box, and me. So I ordered this for my bathroom to make things prettier and tidier.

I've always used hooded litter boxes since the kitties love to throw litter across the floor by the way.

This was pretty easy to assemble, does a GREAT job keeping the thrown litter off the floor (probably twice as good as any hooded litter box I've used), and handles the traffic really well. One of my cats is 17lbs, and he fits just fine too. I also think it is so much better and cleaner looking than an exposed plastic litter box.

One thing about any hooded litter box: you MUST clean out the litter frequently. It is just like a port-a-potty in that there is very little air circulation, and you're cats don't want to be grossed out :)

I'd buy another one if I had the room!

I saw this in the Sky Mall catalog and bought them from Amazon because the price was lower ($99 + shipping). I chose them over other options because these had solid walls and would fit better in a colonial style house (i.e. looks like furniture, not like cat box covers). Dust is now more manageable and the houses made the litter boxes more appealing. Even my jumbo sized cat used it.

One problem is that the house DOES NOT fit jumbo (wide) low-walled litter boxes. So bought three standard size litter pans as replacements as shown in the original promotional photo. BIG MISTAKE. As shown in the picture, the pans fit but the cat spray goes all over the inner walls and down the gaps in the construction (i.e. pooled on my hardwood floors beneath the box). Worse the construction is particle board and bottom of the "house" began to swell and deteriorate. They look horrible.

However I discovered, too late, that buying a high-walled litterbox with a shield at the pet store stopped the problem. They were originally hard to find. I note that Amazon is NOW showing the same photo with the high walled litter pan. They need to delete the second photo since that shallower box doesn't work.

Regrettably, I just gave in and bought two additional pet houses to use as replacements because no other options on the market have the same aesthetics. The price of $75 with free shipping is significantly better than the original price I paid. And the construction is better (holes line up, took minutes to assemble versus tearing my hair out the first time). So perhaps the company was listening.

My advice it's pretty but don't even THINK about using this without a Iris CLH-12 Open-Top Litter Box with Shield and Scoop. You'll regret it. With the inner box, the system works well.

I would give 4.5 stars for the 2 new "houses" I just purchased because the construction and assembly are much better and they work with the high-walled litter box. But I'm downgrading my original rating from 5 stars to 2 stars because I'm also stuck with 3 useless, ruined litter houses that I used in keeping with the original instructions several years ago.

Honest reviews on Merry Pet Products-Cat Washroom And Night Stand

After looking for a solution to a litter box out in the open and constantly cleaning up litter from the floor where the cats kicked it out, this is the ultimate looking and most functional thing I could find.

I wish it was bigger to hold a larger litter pan but I have a 20 pound cat who uses it just fine.

Easy assembly and great looking.

This is a good product with fairly good quality. I put it together in about 30 minutes; the instructions are fairly straight forward. Be aware that it is closer to a black color than brown (the photo looks more brown than black, but that is not the case when you actually see it).

My only complaint is the fact that if it were only about two inches deeper, it would be able to contain most of the plastic cat litter boxes on the market; you could simply insert them and close the door. For example, I would love to be able to put the Tidy Cat Breeze Cat Litter Box System inside, then I could still use this practical system but it would be hidden from view. However, it won't fit in this cabinet, albeit barely: it is about two inches short; the door won't close with it inside. Same holds true for the litter box we were using prior to ordering this cabinet; I was hoping it would also fit inside, but it is also too deep for the cabinet door to close.

We ended up getting a fairly small plastic tub to go inside, with low sides and not a lot of room, thus the litter goes all over the floor of the cabinet and needs to be constantly cleaned. If it weren't for this shortcoming, for the sake of about two inches in depth of the design, it would warrant a five star rating.

I have a Papillon puppy and I got this bell set so I would know where he was in the house and in the yard. The bells give off plenty of sound and when it's too much the lobster claw allows me to take them off when I'm feeling over sensitive to the sounds. After much play the rubbing of the bells against each other the beautiful pantena is rubbing off so know you will need a new set for the color display.

Honest reviews on Lobster Claw Charm

I got this for my cat who loves to kill birds. The first bells I got only lasted for a few days when he lost his breakaway collar somehow. It was a Lupine collar with a "breakaway" plastic fastener, which obviously was too easily opened. I ordered another set of bells for him and a better stretchy collar, and so far no more dead birds on my doorstep. The lobster claw clasp is very easily attached to his collar, and it makes more noise than just one bell, which is what bell collars come with. I think the 3 bells on this product are much better for alerting birds, and my cat does not seem to be bothered by them at all.

Well it looked good for the 1st day, but by day 2 she had found the weak spot and settled down to focus on killing this thing. She awoke this morning with renewed determination. By 7am this morning we had liftoff... stuffing all over the place, on the floor, in her mouth. She retains her title as the destroyer. There is no toy that has ever lasted...except for nylabone, which she thinks is not fair as it is boring and not made of cloth.

Since the arrival of my dog's "new baby", he's been licking continuously making it his own. I'm sure this one will get plenty of loving and be incorporated into the daily exercise/play routine... he hasn't allowed ME to play with it yet!

Planet Dog Baby Blanket Buddy Small

This is high quality, it's firmly and fully stuffed with the squeaker deeply imbedded and worth the contentment my Furbaby and I both receive. The toy's squeaker inside, definitely gets his attention and is deep enough inside I don't panic he'll gnaw it out and swallow it when I'm not looking. Something that happened with a similar toy made of blue terry cloth not as firmly/fully stuffed. That situation caused me to reach into his mouth to get the 2-piece squeaker out. I did repair and reinforce that old toy so there wouldn't be a repeat performance or worse when I'm not watching.

I'm sure I'll have to wait till he's asleep to wash it like his "old baby". He has a fit if you pick up his toy and don't play catch with him. He prefers cloth toys for tugging or catch games.I hope you have as much fun and pleasure with your FurBaby as I do...this toy adds the enjoyment for both!

We have raccoons in the area and I have tried a lot of cat doors. We were using the older version magnetic locking cat door from ani mate. Since the raccoons easily figured out how to open that, we just locked it every night, which was tiresome, but worked. I was exicted to see this one advertised as raccoon proof. There is even a picture of a raccoon on the box with a big red X through it. I happily installed the door, carefulling following instructions. It lasted 2 nights. Raccoons broke in, then because they were locked in (it locks both directions), then tore it out of the wall trying to get out. Now I have a broken, non-functional cat door.

I called KV Pet who sold it too me and was told that even though it said raccoon proof and had broken in two days, they would not replace it or refund my money. I called ani mate and was told that if I wrote a letter and mailed the door back to them (at my cost of course) they would consider replacing it, but not refunding my money. So much for the guarentee.

I think the door is great, unless you have raccoons and then it is sucks and the company sucks and the seller sucks.

I installed this door 24 hours ago for my 5 (yes 5!) cats, 3 of which are kittens that have not yet been altered, so I don't want them going outside. I've got a problem with strays in my neighborhood, which was my main reason for purchasing this cat flap. In response to a previous review, I've had no problem purchasing replacement/ extra ID tags in case my cats lose theirs.

I installed the flap in a wooden door, with the bottom of the opening precisely 6 inches above the ground as the instructions indicated. I used the training mode (no lock) and treats to adjust the 2 inexperienced cats to the flap. It took them maybe 10 minutes to learn, and once I enabled the lock it read the collars perfectly the cats were not at all intimidated by the lock noise and had no trouble unlocking the flap. Once curfew hit at 6pm, they beat on the flap pretty good to be let out, but no go and they eventually gave up. I was also glad to note that although the flap will stay unlocked from 5 90 seconds (depending on your preference) once a collar is read and the cat has not yet gone through the flap, it locks immediately after the cat successfully makes it through the flap.

The next morning, within the first hour, one of the 3 unaltered kittens managed to get outside. A few hours into the morning, all 3 had figured out how to go through the hole in conjuction with one of the 2 collared cats. I then tried putting collars on the 3 kittens and setting the flap to not allow them out I hoped that if the flap read a collar in range that was not to be permitted through the flap, it wouldn't open for the adjacent permitted cat, but no go. I even tried letting the 2 cats out myself through a different door and setting the flap to in only, but the kittens just caught the flap as the other cat entered and made their way out! To be fair, the operating instructions do allude to this scenario, but none of the websites that I perused noted this potential problem in their sales pitches.

So, for the moment, I can't use the flap. Hopefully, after the kittens have recovered from their spaying (in the next month or so), I'll be able to use the flap for all 5 cats. It does seem that it will keep strays out because the flap re-locks so quickly after entry. However, if my cats decide to befriend any neighborhood cats and don't mind them being in close proximity, this cat flap may not meet its intended purpose.

Best Deals for Cat Mate Elite Super Selective Cat Flap White

I build a special frame (from a 2"x2"x6' shim, a few screws, paint, a bit of Plexiglas and silicone) to fit the flap into a horizontal sliding window. This avoids replacing a double-glass pane. The way it's done, I can take out 2 screws from the inside of the house and remove the entire thing with only 2 small holes in the window frame (not exposed with closed window, easy to patch). It's weatherproof and just as burglar-proof as the original window.

As other reviews said, the flap lock is *LOUD*. So FIRST of all, I took care to train my cat to be curious about that noise. I now know when my cat comes and goes from anywhere in the house. I rather like that. I had contemplated to install a walk-through door-bell which I now certainly don't need. If your cat is going in and out all night and that thing is in your bedroom, don't say you haven't been warned.

I suggest you play with the flap a little before you decide exactly how to mount it, because the it clearly has limited scanning range and if you mount the door too low or too high, the chip may hang too far below the lower frame when the cat-nose pushes the door and triggers the scan. The instructions are rather clear (also with respect to how to mount in metal doors), so if you stick to them it should work.

My cat had never seen a cat-door before, so I took some time letting the cat in and out through that window only for a few days, then used the door as a tunnel (taped open during the day) for a few days, then in training mode (flap down with magnet, cat pushes through without chip use).

I also made sure that the cat would not encounter the lock-sound for the first time while pressing her nose against the flap: just triggered the lock myself several times while the cat was in the room and she eventually came to investigate. Lots of treats throughout the process. After two weeks, the door was in use with the chip. A few days later, I made the door-flap opaque to further discourage possible future stubborn raccoons and strays (pure precaution, suggested by somebody on the 'net). Finally, I engaged the timer to limit my cat to in-only at night. Now the door is fully operational. So far, it's been keeping the stray cats and a single stupid raccoon out and keeps my cat in until a few hours after dawn, which has reduced her previously regular hunting success to an occasional house-mouse (which I suspect is caught indoors anyhow).

The chip is rather big, and if your cat is not good with collars, this might not work for you no problem with my cat who always had a (breakaway!) collar with a tag and a bell. The metal bell is still on the collar and does not seem to interfere with scanning the chip.

I operate the door on (4xAA) rechargeable batteries which seems no problem so far (getting them into the stupid compartment was not so easy). Programming was a breeze with instructions in hand if I ever lose them I'll have to buy a new cat door though.

Give a cat a piece of freedom :-)

Honest reviews on Cat Mate Elite Super Selective Cat Flap White

I bought originally bought the Pet Safe Magnetic door (not this one) because I liked the idea of not needing batteries as the Cat Mate doors did. I needed an electronic door for a feeding box to separate my two cats during feeding time since one had to be put on a prescription diet. I was going to put the non prescription cat's food in the box (since it would be bad for the sick cat to eat the regular food, but not the end of the world if the other cat had a bit or two of the prescription food).

The sick cat is definitely the dominate, more food-motivated cat, so I figured he'd be first at the trough when the auto-feeder went off with his food anyways. So, everything should have worked out.

I bought a large storage tote with handles that locked over the lid, cut the door-sized hole in the side of it, installed the door, and set it up with the non-prescription food in it.

Literally, in under 10 seconds, the dominate, food motivated cat had popped the Pet Safe door open and had gained access to the off-limits food. I returned that door.

I think it really is a design flaw on the Pet Safe door that the latch that holds the door closed until the magnetic tag trips it is located at the bottom corner of the door. When a cat (or raccoon) pushes hard enough on the other corner, the clear plastic door is flexible enough that the whole door just pops over the latch that is supposed to be holding it closed.

I ended up deciding to get two other different doors so each cat could have their own private eating space. I got a Cat Mate magnetic door, and a Cat Mate Super Selective microchip activated door (the one described on this page). The magnetic Cat Mate door is similar in price to the Pet Safe, but the Super Selective costs more than twice as much. But, if you have two cats in my situation, you can't have two magnetic doors because any magnet will open either door, so they wouldn't be kept away from the other's food.

I love the Cat Mate doors. Even on the magnetic one, the latch is centered at the bottom of the door, so it would be much harder to get open just by pushing on it. But, a smart racoon with claws might figure out that he could pull the door back toward him and get in that way. My cat that is not allowed in this door is not super aggressive, so I haven't seen her try to get in, but I can tell this is a sturdier magnetic door than the Pet Safe and would probably keep most all cats out.

The Cat Mate Super Selective has little pegs that pop up into the base of the door and hold the door in place from both directions, so it is advertised as "raccoon proof." I have found it to be very effective against my food bully tomcat. He's almost tipped the box over (and spilled the water bowl inside), but he hasn't opened the door. Plus, if you have several cats you need to separate, the Cat Mate Selective or Super Selective is your only option since it senses each cat's unique microchip tag and allows or disallows access based on each individual cat's chip. If you only need to separate two cats, or two groups of cats, you can get away with using one magnetic door and one microchip door.

I got the "Super Selective" frankly because I could not find the plain old "Selective" in stock anywhere. It is nice to have the display window that the Super Selective provides over the Selective. The only feature of this that I regularly use is the button to see how long ago the cat went through. This is nice so I can see if she's eaten during the day when I'm gone to work. I imagine having the display also makes it slightly easier to program.

The Super Selective does make a little noise as the pegs are released and then when they pop up again. My cat that uses this door is a little skittish, but she's gotten used to it in a matter of a few weeks. She's still a little hesitant, and it sometimes takes her a few tries, but when she's hungry, she can make her way in to eat, and then back out again.

I have not used most of the fancy programming features (giving certain cats different access rights, timing which cat is allowed to go where when), so I can't say how well those work, or if there are any flaws there.

I think the tripping mechanism for unlocking the doors has worked really well. When the cat nudges the door with her nose or paw, the sensor starts looking for her microchip, sees it, and unlocks the door. So, the cats have to get used to giving it a little nudge, hearing the pegs disengage, and then walking though. My cat that uses this door is still very hesitant. She often nudges several times before she actually decides to push her way through the door, which means that the pegs go up and down several times. It seems as though the door is designed so that the pegs don't pop up again until the door is down, vertical, and centered. I've held the door open for her for long periods of time, and the pegs don't pop up again until the door is closed and ready to be locked.

On occasion, due the the multiple nudges and hesitancy of my cat, the pegs have popped up with the door not being perfectly centered, which, theoretically, could lock the cat in on one side of the door. But, the door seems to sense this, and after a few minutes, corrects itself by dis-engaging the pegs (which lets the door get centered again, and then re-engaging the pegs so that the door is in it's normal state again.

In summary, I would not use the Pet Safe magnetic door if I were using it as a door to the outside. It would be too easy for other animals to get in. If you need to separate indoor cats for feeding purposes, and none of the cats are too strong or motivated to get at the other's food, the Pet Safe door might work, but I believe the Cat Mate options are better designed, sturdier, and just better doors. I've been using these for just over one month now, and am very happy with them both.

If I were needing an outside door, the Cat Mate Selective or Super Selective are the only ones I would consider. Also, if you are in my situation (wanting to give two cats private feeding areas), or need to separate 3 or more cats, the Cat Mate Selective or Super Selective is the way to go. They are more expensive, but if you want to keep unwelcomed critters out, that's the best I've found.

UPDATE: my timid cat got used to this door pretty quickly. The noise did not bother her at all after about a month. You do need to work with your cat to help train them to use it and not be scared of the noise (which I don't think is really all that noisy). For my purposes, I took the lid off my feeding box, put the cat inside to eat, put the lid on, and let her find her way out, sometimes pulling the door open for her once she'd triggered the pegs to release. Going on two years now, and I don't think I've even had to change the batteries. Very pleased.

I have had three cats using this door constantly for a few years, I immediately tossed our literbox out after they were all trained totally changed our lives for the better. still on the first set of batteries too.

we went through a few tags before we started using non-breakaway collars. to those that are concerned there was recently a study published by the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, finding that the most effective collars are actually the standard buckle type and there were no serious injuries in their sample group. we buy small dog collars with reflective prints. so, this isn't really an issue with the tags, it's the horrible break-away cat collars to blame.

I installed ours through a wall instead of a door and used the Pet-mate tunnel extension and threw out the flimsy screws and used lag-bolts, it would take a bear to rip this off the wall. no raccoon problems and we do have raccoons. the door itself is really tough and I have only had one jam and had to take the cover off and roll the gears to reset it. it's totally scratched up and worn with use but still keeps clicking.

at certain times of the year our cats go on a killing spree and if I don't lock them out, they will bring in all sorts of critters in various crippled states. the timer functions are invaluable for adjusting for this and the cats learn to come in during the "open" time to eat or sleep when it's extremely hot, cold or rainy. unfortunately you can't combine the timer fully with the selective function, but it does overlap, i.e. you can't put selective tags on different timers, the timer is global applies to all tags. so if one cat is set to in/out and another just out but the timer sets out only from 8am to 8pm, the in/out cat is restricted during this time too. it's great as long as you can work with these rules.

the large physical tags are really the worst part of this and there is a RFID "chip" based door SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap White but without the timer functions so it wouldn't work for me. maybe one day I'll hack these two together. there are probably patent restrictions keeping these two concepts from coming together. I would also like to see the next generation from either of these doors to include "app" support to work with home automation systems and smartphones. I would totally pay a premium to get that.

Have used this many times since I received it in mid-December 2012.

It is VERY bright, which is great. 3 modes...fast flash, slow flash, constant on.

The plastic clip appears very good quality...time will tell.

I had to take my bolt cutters to remove the metal loop ( I use 2 collars when walking ).

This metal loop when dangling, would hit against the round plastic on/off button, causing unit to shut off.

This button is very sensitive, will still shut off with the slightest touch, not a big deal.

Shipping was quite expensive for this product, didn't like that, was around 6 dollars.

This is by far one of the best lighted collars I've purchased. I walk my dogs in a rural area, and in the winter months I want to make sure that cars can easily see me and my crew. The lights are VERY bright. I find the strobe setting distracting, so I keep it on the "steady on" setting. The other evening I left the house the house without my small flashlight but the dogs' collars were enough for us to see by, saving me a trip back to the house. I find the sizes run a bit large so I order the next smaller size. The seller was prompt and I received my order quickly.

I bought this originally because I thought our cats had fleas and wanted to spray around their areas. It's turned out to be a great all around product. It doesn't smell chemical-y, aggravate my allergies, or give me a headache like some sprays do, and I feel comfortable spraying it in the kitchen or around the cats' feeding area, where we had an ant problem. You can really control the direction of the spray and get into nooks and crannies easily. I even chased a big fly around and sprayed it dead. Normally would never be able to kill something like that. It's also good if bugs in general give you the heebie jeebies and you want to be able to kill them from a few feet away. Especially great for apartment city dwellers who can't control the cleanliness of their neighbors...

It smelled awful and it took a very long time for the smell to dissipate even though we took everything we could outside and left windows open.

I researched it to see if it had in nasty chemicals in it and it doesn't.

This is a a great spray that is really effective. I feel safe using it because it has some natural ingredients and an orange smell rather than a harsh chemical one. It comes out in a nice stream so I can easily control where I spray it. It keeps the crawlies away and is good for ants. This is highly recommended. I would order it again.

Honest reviews on Sentry Natural Defense Natural Household Spray, 12-Ounce

So I used this product for a couple weeks after adopting two cats who came home from the shelter with fleas. Along with treating them with Advantage and Capstar, it seemed to work really well, and both cats seemed fine. However, I was concerned because it leaves a greasy, slippery residue that can stick around for days. This wasn't a problem for me, but I didn't like the idea of it getting on the cats' fur and them ingesting it that way. One in particular likes to roll around on my wood floors, so I would just wipe him off with a washcloth if I noticed his fur was getting too greasy. I took the can in to my vet's on my next visit, and although she didn't outright condemn it, she did find some studies that showed excessive ingestion of the main ingredient resulted in shaking, drooling, and general symptoms of poisoning in cats. She recommended that I discontinue it and use a product called Fleabusters, a powder that you sweep into carpets and furniture, which I did and had similarly good results using. Bottom line: my cats were fine, but I would use the product sparingly and make sure they don't ingest it, and I probably won't use it again myself since I had good results using the Fleabusters powder (which you can also buy here on Amazon).

The product worked well. HOWEVER, the spray nozzle broke TWICE. The first time it got stuck, I tried hard to fix it, but could not fix it , so I had to exchange for a new bottle. After using for a couple of days, the nozzle stuck again...very disappointing.

I shopped around quite a bit and am very pleased with the product. You can spend double the price to get higher quality wood, and I am picky about quality, but I have been very pleased with the quality for this reasonable price. I was actually about to spend 400 bucks on one of these with another company! I saved 200 bucks on each crate I bought and they look gorgeous in my bedroom...and the dogs love em too! I recommend these crates by far!

I love this piece and it was easy to assemble. However, the lock was not functional from the get go. Thankfully, my dog is too stupid to figure out she's NOT locked in. When I get a smarter dog, I will replace the lock. Solid crate though, and the pup in the pen seems to like it!

This crate is very attractive. I get many compliments on it. We have been using it for 6 months as an end table. My dog loves it, but he is also over 3 years old and loves his crate.

Now, for the bad news. The crate came and the wood was slightly warped, so it went together with some difficulty. the notches did not like up perfectly. I wanted to send it back, but it was too much work to package it up and send it back. It is wobbly, but not terribly so. It is more the point that if I spend a good amount of money, I expect the parts to be perfect. My bad is that I never contact the company.

The last negative thing is that one day about a month ago, my dog was over excited to get out of his crate and blew right through the pretty latch. It just popped right off. My son smahsed it back into the hole and so far, it has held.

Overall, I would have given this 4 or 5 stars if the wood was not warped upon arrival. I am considering purchasing another for my second dog.

Honest reviews on Pet Crate Table made with Eco-Friendly Rubberwood

This crate is the best. I wish we could afford two right now. We have a dog who is scared of practically everything, and had taken to hiding under the bed any time he was spooked, which was really irritating when we were sleeping. He was also getting up with the sun and expecting the rest of the house to get up with him. This crate is awesome. It lets in less light than a wire crate, it matches our bedroom furniture (everyone who has seen it thought it was a table), and we didn't have to do a THING to "crate train" this dog. If something spooks him, he will "beg" for someone to open the bedroom door for him, and he goes straight to the crate. At night, he goes right in and we lock the door behind him and he sleeps through the night. It has solved every problem, and the price is reasonable for the quality you get.

I would add that this large size crate is a bit big for a 50lb dog. If we were strictly crate training, I would go down a size. Since it's his "den", we just kept this one and it has been fine.

Got this for our second boxer...60lbs (I bought another version of this crate from another company for twice the price for our first boxer (75lbs) and this one is equally as good and arguably better.) The construction is solid and assembly pretty straight forward...took me about 10-15 minutes but you will need assistance from another person for a couple minutes at one point during the assembly...so plan accordingly. Also, I used a power drill to tighten the screws. made for a quicker install and ensured good stability. Be sure not to crank up the torque too high! It looks great in our living room where we have wood floors. NOTE: If setting it on hardwood floors or tile, I would recommend getting some non slip stickers for the bottom. You can get a set of 8 or something at Home Depot for 3-5 bucks. The crate doesn't come with any non-slip feet. Recommendation: I would put the non slip stickers in the front only. This will allow you to lift the front and place/slide the crate into position and then set it down causing the non slip sticker to secure the desired location. Best part of this crate is that it can be used as furniture/end table. We have a lamp on ours! If you have a medium to large dog, I would recommend this crate!

Review of The Yuppy Puppy Treat Machine Dog "Gumball" Machine

The Yuppy Puppy Treat Machine Dog 'Gumball' Machine

Kilt learning the Lucky Yuppy Puppy treat dispenser for the first time. Even our 13 yr. old Labrador learned how to do it after about 3 different tries. :0)

Only one of our three dogs learned to use the machine, which is fine, because she's the one we bought it for! It took her no time to learn to use it. She looks like a little factory worker pushing the lever up and down. We've had it for five years, but my son accidentally stepped on it tonight and broke the plastic dome. This is an excellent product that has withstood a lot of rough use (up until now). We have to order another one immediately so Katie will still have her own private cache of food!

Honest reviews on The Yuppy Puppy Treat Machine Dog "Gumball" Machine

My dogs have to work for their dry food, end up they lost weight because each press only few drops come out and they take longer time to finish the food. Remember don't put too full just put what they need. It is a fun Treat Machine, I enjoy very mush to watch them, especially when taught them to get food from the machine. One of my dogs press the machine each time he pass by, he is not taking the food, just loves to play--so cute.

My dobermans love Yuppy Puppy. The enclosed pamphlet says it can take up to two weeks for your dog to learn how to work it, but that is probably an exaggeration as food is a great motivator. One of my dogs learned how to use it in under five minutes, using her paw, the other took about a day and prefers to use her snout to depress the lever. I tried to teach her with her paw but she learned her own way to do it. It is cute to watch them and is much anticipated when I say "Work the Machine!" Product is built sturdy for heavy use by mongrels and stays in place well. Doesn't tip over. Highly recommended.

I have a Beautiful Basset that needs extra attention to the ears....and this product works!!. It's easy to use, very gentle on the ears and best of all, it removes that stinky ear smell. I clean my boy's long floppies at least once a week and this has been by far the best product I've found. This container has a generous amount, enough to last our weekly regimine for quite a while. The deoderizing scent is not too overpowering, so it doesn't leave my Hound smelling like he just left the Vet's office. This one I will stick with.

If you have asthma or any other respiratory issues, be aware this item has a very intense perfume smell. I can not use it without it causing me a long time of coughing, hard to breath, and I also have to use an inhaler.

I don't know why the maker of this product feels they need to have such heavy perfume smell in their product.
