I was looking for a pretty large round throw pillow for the kids to put on the floor to lay and sit on. An actual throw pillow of substantial size is pretty pricey. These are a bit large for a couch pillow but for children to sit and lay on the floor they are PERFECT especially the material. Awesome for kids. Material seems to be hair and water repellent. The print is a little Christmasy but it works. I can put them on the couch or even stack them on the floor out of the way. Pretty cool!

I ordered this for a friend who didn't have access to online purchasing. When it came in the mail, I set it on my counter until I had a chance to give it to the owner. In the meantime, my cat would not stay away from the package and kept trying to open it. The package had to be put away in the closet. I think I need to order another one for my kitty.

The mat is much cuter than it appears to be in the picture. The only negative thing I can say about it is that I wish it came in other colors than pink or blue. However, having said that, it can be turned over so that the zebra print shows when laid out in kitty's favorite resting place.

Very happy with this purchase!

my kitty loves it so I do too.

Got this for him when he was just days old and he loves cuddling with it.

He lays on it and just purrs

I purchased this item as my cat, like most, loves catnip and loves to lie on / claim anything put down onto the floor (jacket, towel, box, poster board, etc). However, this product seems to repel him! He won't even lie on it. He has had this mat for about 2 weeks and all he has done is sniff it a couple of times and walk away!! To me, this is a clear indication that there is no catnip in it and there is no access to put any in. Very disappointing for the cat and myself!

Look, dying anything in these colors is going to be a bit messy. I used to pay $80 to get my dog dyed every 3 or 4 months. Now I can do it myself at home for a fraction of the cost. It lasts a few months for me if you include the fading time. I go with a bright pink and in the end, it is bubble gum pink. All pretty. My dog is black and white so the white takes and it looks fantastic. I don't follow instructions exactly. I wash in the laundry tub for her regular bath time, MASSAGE (happy dog) the dye on (I wear disposable latex gloves), leave for 5 mins while she sits quietly in warm garage/tub, rinse and MASSAGE IN a leave-in conditioner. Best tip I can give you to make it easier on the dog give treats off and on through out the process. Just little bits of something to make it worth their while. Everyone loves seeing her, grumpy people brighten up, she's in photo albums all over the world. I did it once on a lark but she is such an ambassador for happiness with the color that I have continued for years now. I forget what she looks like w/o color. If the process isn't fun for you, the dog will pick up on that and it won't be fun for anyone. Make it fun or skip it. Of course the dog shouldn't suffer. So for clean up, what's the big deal? It's clean up, did you expect not to? I use bleach (after the dog is out of the area (don't want her to breathe fumes) or a scrubbing cleaner with bleach. It comes out fine. Sometimes I even do it in my marble shower again, a little scrubbing (not bleach) and it comes out fine. Anyway, love the product and will continue to buy it. If you hate the process, groomers will do it for you. If you want less permanent, use the easter egg dye (food grade, non toxic) and it will wash out in the first or second washing. Or skip it completely and go for a walk.

I bought this to use on my black and white chihuahua

The color is really bright and thats what I was going for.

I was able to dye her fairly easily, it was kind of hard to do on her faceI was dying all of her white fur and around her nose and mouth is whiteShe kept trying to lick it off, so I rinse it out faster than the rest of her but still the color is pretty good

I added a picture of her pink

I think she looks adorable :)

The color lasts quite awhile also, about 2 months or so, slowly fades with each wash

Also the jar lasts quite awhile as well.

I have been able to dye her white fur at least 2 dozen times (she is small and not too much white and you can see in the pictures)

Best Deals for Dog Hair Dye Gel

This was my first time coloring my cockapoo and I didn't leave the color on long enough, which was only 15 minutes. Certainly not long enough to get anything close to the color on the jar. So, I had to do it a second time, which my little guy did not appreciate at all. The second time I left in on for 45 minuts and really made sure I had the hair saturated. And Voila!!! It was a perfect turqoise!!! I was coloring just his mohawk, so I put the dye on his dry hair and washed him afterwards. A little trick to minimize the bleeding of the color put conditioner on the parts you don't want color on that helps minimize the color bleeding when you wash it all off.

Happy coloring!!

Honest reviews on Dog Hair Dye Gel

I'm really surprised this didn't work out for more people, because this worked out famously for me and the dog. My boyfriend has a white West Highland Terrier, and I wanted to dye her hair in a flame style. I had read the reviews before purchasing, so I knew what to expect and how to prepare for it. I covered the base of her tail with tin foil and then dyed the end of her tail yellow (with gloves of course). Then I covered the dyed portion with tinfoil so it could sit on there without getting on stuff and the dog could still walk around and go potty, and left it on for about 30ish minutes. I then took her outside and just hosed off her tail. I dried it off, and pretty much repeated the process and dyed the very tips of her tail orange and wrapped it up in tinfoil again. I was really surprised how easy this was to use and the colors turned out great and even though the containers were smaller than I thought they would be, a little goes a long way! I uploaded a picture to amazon's "customer photos" so check it out!!!

I bought this to dye my Shih Tzu. Works great on the white areas but fades out quickly.

Also very very messy and dyes your tub. I had to use straight bleach to remove it from the tub surface.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We have four dogs of our own ranging from 10 to 68 pounds. We also foster dogs for a local rescue, which often includes picking them up, often from 50-60 miles away, and then transporting them to our house. The rescue requires all picked dogs to be in a crate for safety. We have traditional plastic crates of different sizes which work well but have drawbacks, they are heavy, take up a lot of space (unless you take them apart which leads to the problem of putting them together lining up bolts, putting on the door, etc.).

When flat this crate only is about 3 inches tall and is about 17 pounds. It was so easy to set up we didn't even have to read the instructions, very intuitive. The instructions turn out to be nice and simple and easy to follow, though again we did it backward. It comes with a nice fluffy rug for the bottom for the dog's comfort so you don't have to supply your own. One thing I like about the crate is the mesh "windows" on the side and the mesh front covering, the plastic crates always kind of reminded me of dog jail with their metal or plastic bars over very small windows and their metal door.

This crate seems to give the dog both a feeling of security and being protected without the feeling of being caged since there is so much light and the windows are so big.

It fits into our full size SUV (but when open only by about two inches vertically).

If your dog is a chewer this might not be the crate for you, if not I would highly recommended it. All our dogs have tried it, its big enough for our golden retrievers to do some maneuvering yet seems to make our little 10 pound sheltie mix feel safe from noise.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This was extremely easy to set up. My seven year old did it right out of the box, no istructions. It's that simple to figure out. I like that it folds easily(she also figured that out on her own ;) and is so compact. I love that it came with a pad! Remember this is not a carrying case so the pad sits on the bottom frame. Overall this is pretty stable for a portable dog tent. I like all the windows for ventilation and light. It gives our dog a clean place to lay while we're camping. We don't use it in the car but I could see how this would work great in the back of a truck or SUV if you prefer to contain your dog while traveling. For us, it folds nice and flat and we're able to stack things on top or under.

My only complaint..the mesh is made of PVC and stinks(in an unhealthy way)! Being closed in a vehicle with this, the odor would be very noticeable. I would've preferred a less toxic nylon mesh.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This pet carrier has a lot of good points, but also has some flaws. The following is a pros and cons list:

Pros

-Outside material feels durable and tough

-The faux sheepskin pad is soft, thick, and comfortable for your pet

-It is large and roomy

-It is collapsible and easy to store

-The mesh door and windows allow your pet to see outside easily and get plenty of air

Cons

-It can be hard to set up. You have to fight with the sides while simultaneously trying to put the stubborn back bar up

-If the back bar is not perfectly secured, it can fall on your pet like a mousetrap

-It is overpriced

Honest reviews on MidWest Portable Tent Crate

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Before purchasing any soft sided crate, pay attention to the warnings of other reviewers about buying them for dogs that don't want to be contained. If you've got a Houdini, buy metal.

This crate is updated and improved from the previous model.

The most significant change is a better designed pop up mechanism. It's infinitely easier than before and allows full set up in less than 60 seconds, pretty much using just one hand (and maybe a strategically placed shoulder).

The frame is made of visibly thicker metal wire than my previous Midwest model. None of these pop up type soft sided crates will stand up to children using them as chairs without collapsing, but this heavier grade metal will not bend as easily.

The mesh covered "windows" look and feel sturdier. A dog hell bent on escape will have to invest a few more minutes to chew their way to freedom. Smarter placement of the Velcro allows the door to be more easily secured in the open position.

Something missing on this model are the little window "curtains," but I think leaving them off was a good call. I don't recall ever using them and it was a hassle rolling them up just the right way in order to catch the Velcro that kept them open.

Midwest took an already good product, obviously listened to feedback, and then made it better. Great product!

It sure is a good thing I checked amazon.com for dog creates before spending almost twice as much at a major pet store! This crate is perfect in every way. It's very well made and the price can't be beat. The bottom plastic tray can be easily removed for cleaning and the crate collapses very easily. It's pretty easy to open and close with the double sliding locking mechanism, and it comes with a partition so it can grow with your puppy. I can't imagine housetraining our now-five-month-old puppy without it! We love this create, and so does our puppy.

Update 1/2011: This crate is still standing strong and has proven itself to hold up against a strong dog, us bumping up against it, moving it, collapsing it, and cleaning it. It's perfect!

Update 10/2012: This crate is still holding up after several moves and a few dogs! It shows no signs of wear and still works perfectly. I'm pregnant and it's still very easy to use and move.

I recently purchased the 42x28x30 crate for my 4 month old German Shepherd. He was quickly growing out of his smaller crate as he is already over forty pounds. I was unsure before ordering whether this would be a sufficiently sized crate for my dog when he is mature. I will tell you we joking call this his condo because it is huge. I am 5'3" and 110 lbs. and me and my dog could fit in this crate (we actually did lol!). Plus the free divider makes it great as a training crate. If you are considering a crate for a large breed dog like a German Shepherd, this is a great crate for your dog. It is also very sturdy and easy to set up. I am so happy that I saved money and got a great crate!

I watch my neighbor's toy dog everyday when I am not traveling. I like to tell people that we have a "joint custody" arrangement. She has a large crate at her home for the dog to spread out in, but since she chews on things (the dog, not my neighbor) I needed a little one for the times when I leave the dog alone in my house. Also, she needed a travel-sized crate for car trips.

When I found this dog crate on Amazon I was curious as to how well made it could be for such a low price (I got the smallest one, 18x14x12). When it arrived the next day I was really pleased with how easy it was to set up. No tools, no wing nuts, just lift the sides up and snap it together. It is perfect for my needs. Bella, a little Yorkie, is fully grown and can stand up in it just fine. I now have a fleece liner for it and sometimes she walks in there on her own and hangs out in her little house. I have added photos of her in the crate under "Customer Images". I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this for my Chihuahua/Terrier mix, and she fits perfectly into the smallest size, with enough room to stand up. I put it together in 30 seconds, and it is very easy to use. However, the smaller crates come with only one latch, and my dog has now figured out how to open the gate easily, as the sliding bar only needs to be pushed out and to the left. (I have a video of this on Youtube, search for "johnnyma45" and watch "Izzy breaks out". We use a little suitcase padlock to keep the door closed. Overall happy, just wished the latch wasn't so easy to open by the dog.

This crate was a replacement for a "portable cloth crate' that I had for my "little re-decorating instigator". We absolutely need the crate because, he honestly feels that, it is HIS job alone, to inspect EVERY inch of our house, when we are not home. And even though HE won't admit to it in front of other dogs, he hates thunderstorms and firework. So, for US,,,The crate also comes in handy, when he "freaks" during a thunderstorm. Being in the crate during a storm, helps to calm him, and lessens the stress, on all of us involved. We only use the Crate, for short periods of time, when we are not going to be home I for one, don't ever suggest a dog be kept in a crate, for an entire day. It's just not a fair thing to do to a dog. If this is the case say while you are at work during the day, have a neighbor or somebody that you trust, come over and let the little guy out, for a short break, ***(like I said,,,,this is just MY opinion).

For us, the "portable Cloth Crate" was nice, and also very easy to use and to travel with. BUT,because our little guy has, the ability to use his arms, like a pro tennis star, he ripped the screening off of the inside of the front door flap rather quickly. To help remedy this situation, I purchased fiberglass screening, and stitched a new piece of screen, onto the inside AND the outside of, that zippered door flap. This new Flap, lasted for MAYBE a WHOLE, 3 months. It was then that, I knew that, the little fella was on his way to an escape of EPIC proportions! And that, my somewhat, neatly kept home, would soon become, a dreadful mess! Why? He will come up with all sorts of stories,,,,his favorite chewy or toy, or something of that nature, could not be found (blah, blah, blah,,,he has a tendency to over exaggerate on what REALLY took place, while we were away ;o} ) All to often, this would, necessitate in him absolutely NEEDING to getting out of that crate, and finding "it", by himself. Of course this is showing us undying love, simply by saving US the trouble, of having to help HIM, in finding it! He's smart,,,what can I say, but his stories and excuses are getting a bit ,,,well,,,,"used" up and old. As I said, it was only a matter of time, before the next escape came,,,tick,,,tick,,,tick went the clock.

And so, this brings us to THIS wonderful All METAL crate! Not only was it fairly inexpensive, but very stealth as well, for a larger dog crate. And, that is because, since the crate itself folds and ships flat, it can be folded back into it's original, small, flat, compact size in no time. Leaving it perfect for, extremely ease of use, when packing for travel. It ships in a flat box, it folds back into, a rather flat format. Just lay down the ends, and then the sides, in their easy to figure out format, and it folds up, all while leaving the plastic tray, inside of the crate. Once you have it folded up, just place it on the bottom of your trunk. Then, you can place your other items, right on top of it. Luckily for me, it was actually a bonus that I had tried the cloth crate first,,,and here's why: If you have one of these, DON'T THROW IT AWAY! Take the measurements of your CLOTH crate, and then find a similar size metal crate. Because of the way the soft crate was made, it had large zippered end panels. Because of these, I was now able to put the metal crate INTO the soft sided cloth crate, and make the metal one somewhat "camouflaged", in my living room. Plus with the cover over it, it makes him less afraid of the thunder storms. And because the soft one came with a awesome carry bag, I used the carry bag, to store and carry, the folded up metal crate when traveling nothing went to waste on the soft crate, except that darned screen door (which I cut off)!

The metal crate itself, is a much better, and much needed, totally WONDERFUL, well made piece of doggie equipment! it's a solid and safe place for your pup when you cannot be there for him. The sides lock into place, the door has a sliding latch that stays in place,,,it really is just an all around great crate to keep our little "Houdini re-decorator", in a safe spot, when we cannot be home with him, or take him with us .

***HINT for sizing*** depending on WHAT "Dog Expert" you are listening to, on that particular day,,,, all too often, they suggest a crate that keeps your dog somewhat cramped area. We liken this to be: sort of like a "Goldilocks Fortress" not too big and not too small. Our pup is a Sheltie, he stands about 15 inches at the withers, and weighs 17 pounds. The 30x19x21 was really a perfect fit for him, because we like him to have the ability to stand up, stretch a bit and turn around as needed. To us, it is just seems very mean, to stick a dog into a box, that they cannot move in. Simply because, this type of small spaces, it can cause cramping and make the dog, to become, leery of the crate. Which can then turn into: your pup, not wanting to use his crate, at all. And really,,, if your dog is a snooper, isn't it better to keep him safe when you are not home? We have tried all sorts of different sizes for different dogs over the years, and we have found that, Get a crate that they can move around in and you will find a happier dog when it comes time for: "In the Crate". And, because this one is collapsable, it stores away easily if needed, so you don't necessarily SEE the extra size, when it is not needed; (the plastic crates that come apart, only store inside of each other, and take up a lot of real estate in your home or car. So, yes, I would highly suggest this crate. In the end, I give it four stars because, it would have been nice to have a carry bag come with it, for ease of use when traveling. I still love it though! Good luck!

This item is just what I wanted: a fairly lightweight but sturdy extra kennel that I can easily load into my SUV for when I travel with my Border Collie. I purchased this item with my "bonus dollars" from Amazon, plus there was an offer for free shipping as well, so it was an extra-great-deal for me. The kennel is easy to fold-down for out-of-the-way under-bed-storage, and easily re-assembles in minutes. Just right; and cheaper than the options I saw at PetSmart, PetCo, and WalMart, especially when you factor in the sales tax to add to the total price.

The kennel is pretty solid. I might have seen others that are a bit more solid but, then again, it's not really meant to prevent a dog from escaping in a panic. I could see how a hyper dog with separation anxiety might cause some damage to it. Definitely a nice kennel at a decent price. No issues at all.

We got the x-large version of this cage for our first dog and really liked it so when we got a second dog and need a slightly smaller size, we got this one. It only has 1 door, which I like. Some people prefer having the side door option, but for bigger dogs, I'm not a fan and since I wouldn't use the side door I'd rather not pay the extra cost.

This crate comes with a divider, which is really helpful for crate training and housebreaking. For those unfamiliar with puppies and crates...if you give a puppy a huge cage, they will pee in the back and sit in the front until you come and let them out. A divider helps force them to learn to 'hold it' until you put them out.

I also like the double closure. Growing up, my dog's crate only had one, so initially I was annoyed by the extra 'work', but it definitely helps keep little puppies from trying to push their way out and then getting stuck.

The only dislike I have about the product is that it has a plastic/vinyl coating over the metal which my puppy scratches at. It really isn't a big issue, but I've also noticed that the closures can be more difficult to open and close than the crate we used growing u, which had no coating. However, this might change with some wear. Either way, it's by no means a deal breaker.

I like this cage so much that I actually had to order it offline because it seem that Walmart is the only store in our area that carries PetMate, however all 4 Walmarts near me were sold out for over 3 weeks. I looked at alternatives, but everything in this price range at the pet stores didn't have a divider. Definitely the best buy for the money!!

I bought two of these in two sizes for a growing boxer puppy... he is currently 6 months old. He tore them both apart and escaped while no one was home...completely destroyed not only my home but my mother's as well. I do NOT enjoying cleaning up dog poop or bags of food that he ripped apart. If one of these cannot contain A PUPPY, how is it supposed to hold a 70 pound dog?!?!?! Get real! Waste of money and time! Now I get to go to the store and replace the food my mother bought for the holiday and try to figure out a way to keep this from continuing to happen. I should not need to hire an engineer to keep my dog in his kennel...I'm pretty sure the company either has engineers or needs to hire a few. Preferably ones who own dogs. I will NEVER ever recommend this product.

Charlee Bears are small and low calorie, so you can use them en masse for training. We use them both for standard training (sit, stay, drop it, leave it) and behavioral training (no bark). They're not stinky or messy, so you can put them in your pocket, purse, or car without worry. We keep a small bag in the car for travel to reinforce when our puppy doesn't bark at people walking by, one by the door to reinforce when she goes to the bathroom outside, and a bunch of treats in a treat bag for travel.

The one downside to these is that because they're not as stinky, it can be harder to use them to get your dog's attention if he or she is distracted, like at the dog park or if you have a bunch of visitors. Our trick to get around this is that we put some stinky treats in the treat bag with these, and they'll take on some of the scent (We use Pro-Treat Beef Liver, Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 21 Ounce).

Our dog loves all flavors.

Charlie Bears are great. They are especially great for smaller dog breeds. They are delicate little crackers (much like oyster crackers you put in soup). These treats come in a variety of flavors. My dogs are picky and these are just about the only dog "bisquit" they'll eat. You don't even have to worry about your dog's weight....these little treats are only 3 calories! Also great for training a puppy!

I went with the reviews on this one, and unfortunately was disappointed. I have a 9 pound corgi puppy, and he seemed to be ok with the flavor of these. Unfortunately, they weren't good for training, because whenever he would ingest more than a few, it would make him vomit. It seems like the flour in this product was upsetting his stomach. Replaced them with the 100 percent liver treats and haven't had any issues since.

Unfortunately, the pet store I used to get them from stopped selling them. I'm so glad I found them on Amazon! I can't wait to order some, my dog will be so happy!
