This toy is so cute, all of their rope toys are, and my dogs (jack Russell and blue heeler)loved it but after a half hour of play, tugging and chewing it was shredded! Maybe good for dogs who play a little less, ummm, enthusiastically than mine! Guess well have to stick to kongs!

This is a very cute rope toy. My pup hasn't played with it a ton but he likes to drag it around the house. I'll admit we haven't played a rousing game of tug of war with it so I can't attest to the total durability but it's held up to being dragged from one room to the next!

The dreaded flea had invaded my home. We've never had fleas before even with indoor/outdoor pets, long haired pets, and growing up in a forest so we were a little appalled and kept asking, "How did this happen?" Regardless of how it happened, the evidence was clear. Last Friday night, I combed out roughly 15 fleas from my cat and dog. Saturday, we did a thorough vacuuming of the apartment and sprayed this stuff down on all soft surfaces (couch, carpet, bathmat, curtains) and then still decided to take EVERYTHING to the laundromat to wash in hot, soapy water and then heat in a commercial dryer for 1 hour.

As for the spray, we put a plastic cone around our pets as high up on their neck as it would go and we sprayed them down all over. The cone was mostly to try and minimize breathing in the spray because we noticed it irritated our own throats. We then took the cone off and really tried to rub it in all over our pets up the neck, in the areas where the legs meet the torso, and butt areas. Then, instead of leaving it on (we noticed how drying it was on our own hands so decided not to leave it on too long), we let it sit for a few minutes and then rinsed it off thoroughly.

We've been flea combing our pets daily since then and what we realized was this: the dog had pretty short hair and has been flea-free since using the spray. The cat, however, with it's very dense, medium long fur still had some fleas but the count has been going down daily since the initial 20. Yesterday I was able to find 1 flea and it was a baby flea at that. This morning, I found none. Personally, I think we weren't able to penetrate to the skin as well as the dog because the cat had so much hair. Because of this, the adult fleas were definitely affected and died but some of the larvae/pupae might have survived because we couldn't/didn't penetrate to the skin.

As for some of the reviewers' claims that this product's label as "natural" is false, we did some searching and here's what we found. The main ingredient is basically a combination of a naturally occurring acid and a salt. In that respect, it's unnatural but in my opinion, it's a heckuva lot more natural than the stuff found in Hartz or other flea killing products that were bioengineered to kill fleas or act as Growth Inhibitors.

Also remember that this product is a one time treatment to kill existing fleas on your pet and doesn't last a month like Frontline or Advantage. It's topical, not internal like those other treatments. Also, remember to keep respraying and cleaning your house since this stuff kills fleas and pupae/larvae but NOT eggs. Eggs can be best dealt with through vacuuming and high temperature and any eggs you weren't able to pick up the first time around may still hatch.

So:

1. Really try to penetrate to the skin.

2. I personally don't recommend leaving the product on for sensitivity issues.

3. Your animal can be retreated in as little as three days for bad infestations.

4. You must treat your home as well or you will just continue to have fleas.

5. After the treatment, consider starting a monthly flea treatment like Frontline or Advantage. We chose Frontline Plus for the dog and Advantage for the cat.

We just moved to a new area and with the change in season came the crazy fleas. I took my dogs into the vets for a routine appointment and asked about flea meds. The vet gave me a topical application... needless to say it didn't work because I was only able to treat the fleas on the animal. I had a friend suggested DeFlea. I love it, not only are you treating the dog but the sofa, carpet, dog bed, car... everything. Within a few days my dogs were done gnawing on themselves.

Best Deals for De Flea Pet & Bedding Spray for Dogs. 24oz (Not for use on Cats)

As a previous reviewer stated, when fleas have taken a foothold in your home you MUST attack the problem in 2 ways: 1)treat the home! Fleas live in yards, carpets, upholstery, and in crevices in and around wood floors. They jump on pets and humans to feed only, they live in your home. To treat your yard: Use amorphous diatomaceous earth or long lasting chemical spray. To treat carpeted areas: If heavily infested spray first with Hartz Ultraguard, this stops eggs, larvae and pupae from reaching the adult flea stage, but doesn't kill adults. Then treat with Fleabusters Rx powder. This natural powder dries out the climate in the carpet, fleas love moisture. This kills all eggs, larvae, pupae and adults, and when new fleas hitch a ride inside the home via pet or human feet, they die later. This powder takes 1-2 weeks to fully work, hence the need for spraying first. Use this powder under couch cushions, mattresses etc. and in hardwood floor crevices. Works for 1+ years!

2) treat your pets and the areas they sleep in. This spray is good, not too toxic and kills fleas on contact. Flea baths do work OK, but understand that the flea soap must be in contact with skin for 10 MINUTES to kill fleas, otherwise it just knocks them out and they spring back to life later. Trust me on this, I used to be a professional groomer. This spray kills them instantly, but for cats you MUST rinse it off afterward even though the directions do not say so. I used it on my cats, it worked well, but gets very thick and foamy in the coat. As cat owners know, a cat will lick itself from head to toe after a bath or getting wet, my cat got a lick of this stuff and spit up a bit of white foam. Use common sense and RINSE IT OFF OF CATS!!!

Then spray their cat beds and the other areas where they sleep after machine washing. I like this spray because it doesn't smell of harsh chemicals.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you use Fleabuster Rx powder every fall you won't have a problem come summertime. I got lazy this year and I'm paying the price by aggressively treating all areas of my home and pets.

It worked wonders for me!

If I could give less than one star, I would. Natural Chemistry De-flea spray for cats says it is natural and safe for cats, but after following the directions, a foster cat had to be taken to the Vet for an allergic reaction, costing over $200. The vet said this is a common occurrence with so called "natural" flea sprays, yet there is NOT a warning anywhere on the bottle. It even claims to be safe for "all cats over 12 weeks," it is Non-toxic, "safe" (that's total crap). I had sprayed the cat at about 10pm, following the directions on the bottle and by 10 am the next morning I had to rush her to the vet because she wasn't responsive, wouldn't eat or drink anything, she was laying outside of her bed with her tongue sticking out a bit. I emailed the company yet they failed to respond to my emails. Please think twice before using this product on your cat.

Pad is too small, it might work for a very small dog but I doubt if it would work very well. It also tends to curl after being washed and dried, the top flannel seemed to shrink a little but not the water-proof back. Purchased Pee Pads from the pet store and they are much better plus very absorbant, much more so than than the Lily Pee Pad.

Look, dying anything in these colors is going to be a bit messy. I used to pay $80 to get my dog dyed every 3 or 4 months. Now I can do it myself at home for a fraction of the cost. It lasts a few months for me if you include the fading time. I go with a bright pink and in the end, it is bubble gum pink. All pretty. My dog is black and white so the white takes and it looks fantastic. I don't follow instructions exactly. I wash in the laundry tub for her regular bath time, MASSAGE (happy dog) the dye on (I wear disposable latex gloves), leave for 5 mins while she sits quietly in warm garage/tub, rinse and MASSAGE IN a leave-in conditioner. Best tip I can give you to make it easier on the dog give treats off and on through out the process. Just little bits of something to make it worth their while. Everyone loves seeing her, grumpy people brighten up, she's in photo albums all over the world. I did it once on a lark but she is such an ambassador for happiness with the color that I have continued for years now. I forget what she looks like w/o color. If the process isn't fun for you, the dog will pick up on that and it won't be fun for anyone. Make it fun or skip it. Of course the dog shouldn't suffer. So for clean up, what's the big deal? It's clean up, did you expect not to? I use bleach (after the dog is out of the area (don't want her to breathe fumes) or a scrubbing cleaner with bleach. It comes out fine. Sometimes I even do it in my marble shower again, a little scrubbing (not bleach) and it comes out fine. Anyway, love the product and will continue to buy it. If you hate the process, groomers will do it for you. If you want less permanent, use the easter egg dye (food grade, non toxic) and it will wash out in the first or second washing. Or skip it completely and go for a walk.

I bought this to use on my black and white chihuahua

The color is really bright and thats what I was going for.

I was able to dye her fairly easily, it was kind of hard to do on her faceI was dying all of her white fur and around her nose and mouth is whiteShe kept trying to lick it off, so I rinse it out faster than the rest of her but still the color is pretty good

I added a picture of her pink

I think she looks adorable :)

The color lasts quite awhile also, about 2 months or so, slowly fades with each wash

Also the jar lasts quite awhile as well.

I have been able to dye her white fur at least 2 dozen times (she is small and not too much white and you can see in the pictures)

Best Deals for Dog Hair Dye Gel

This was my first time coloring my cockapoo and I didn't leave the color on long enough, which was only 15 minutes. Certainly not long enough to get anything close to the color on the jar. So, I had to do it a second time, which my little guy did not appreciate at all. The second time I left in on for 45 minuts and really made sure I had the hair saturated. And Voila!!! It was a perfect turqoise!!! I was coloring just his mohawk, so I put the dye on his dry hair and washed him afterwards. A little trick to minimize the bleeding of the color put conditioner on the parts you don't want color on that helps minimize the color bleeding when you wash it all off.

Happy coloring!!

Honest reviews on Dog Hair Dye Gel

I'm really surprised this didn't work out for more people, because this worked out famously for me and the dog. My boyfriend has a white West Highland Terrier, and I wanted to dye her hair in a flame style. I had read the reviews before purchasing, so I knew what to expect and how to prepare for it. I covered the base of her tail with tin foil and then dyed the end of her tail yellow (with gloves of course). Then I covered the dyed portion with tinfoil so it could sit on there without getting on stuff and the dog could still walk around and go potty, and left it on for about 30ish minutes. I then took her outside and just hosed off her tail. I dried it off, and pretty much repeated the process and dyed the very tips of her tail orange and wrapped it up in tinfoil again. I was really surprised how easy this was to use and the colors turned out great and even though the containers were smaller than I thought they would be, a little goes a long way! I uploaded a picture to amazon's "customer photos" so check it out!!!

I bought this to dye my Shih Tzu. Works great on the white areas but fades out quickly.

Also very very messy and dyes your tub. I had to use straight bleach to remove it from the tub surface.

Incredibly easy to install, only needed husband assistance for a moment as our window doesn't stay up very well on it's own. Intuitive installation but would probably recommend sticking on the top insulation foam strip after the pet door is in place so that it covers the gap completely rather than having to patch the sides on afterwards.

Our purrkids love it. This leads to their outdoor catio so no worries about security of the window.

This door was the perfect solution to facilitate our three cats' needs to go in and out of the house... We moved the cat litter boxes to our screened-in porch... the unit has adjustable sides for a perfect fit... The cats learned how to use it in mere minutes...

The only drawback was it was not 100% airtight along the top when installed... I sealed the 1/4" gap with electrical tape and that eliminated outside air coming in. That's why I didn't give the unit 5 stars... The vendor could have supplied a rubber seal.

I fully expected to get this and feel completely ripped off for having spent $120 on a cat door. Having received it I can now say I only feel slightly ripped off. This thing is well made and it does fit well in my window. You should know, however, that even when the flap is closed and the magnet stuck that the flap might still not be flush with the frame and that will let a draft in. This is especially evident if it is warm in your house and chilly outside. There is a plastic insert you can use to close the door off to stop that but then the door isn't a door anymore.

My comments apply to the dual flap thru-wall style. This dog door has the best flap design for excluding drafts and insects, but loses points because the thru-wall design is a real challenge for a DIY installer. (I'm guessing that the thru-door style is pretty simple to install.) Cutting the wall opening and assembly are straight-forward. The problem is that the inner and outer frames are clamped together through the wall with threaded rods. Requires accurate metal cutting and tight precision in measuring the wall thickness and cutting the threaded rods to length for your wall. If you don't cut the rods to exactly the right length, they're either too long and the nuts can't be tightened or they're too short to engage the nut. And you have to thread them into place blind through the inside frame into holes small the outer frame.

Lapped siding on the outside wall increases the difficulty. I can't imagine installing it with no helper outside to keep things together and lined up. The instructions are fine for assembling the tunnel, but leave much to be desired on the actual installation in the wall. In the end, I got it lined up and secured, but it was a real hair-puller; and I'm a handy guy with tools. I think tradesmen will have some difficulty with installation too unless they've installed one before. It's a robust design with a tight seal, but they should find a less frustrating method for securing the inner and outer frames in the wall.

We've been turning down the thermostat in the house more during the day, and the 'rulers of the kingdom' (i.e. cats) were displeased.

Before they started an animal riot and demanded better living conditions, we purchased a Thermo-Bed.

We'd used heating pads in the past, but leaving them plugged in and turned on all the time was a safety concern and also made a big dent in the electric bill.

The Thermo-Bed stays at a very low temperature until the animal lays on it, then increases the warmth. In theory this keeps the electric bills from skyrocketing.

I'm sure this works for some situations, but doesn't take into account the extreme laziness and heat-seaking capabilities of our two furry friends.

Darned if they're not laying on the thing 24-7!

The only time they're not on it is when we're feeding them.

In summation, the cats give the Thermo-Bed a resounding 5 star perfect rating. The humans give it 3 stars because our heating bill has increased about $5 a month after installation. The result is a 4 star rating.

If the cats had opposable thumbs, and could have surfed to Amazon.com themselves, they would have given it 5 stars. Cats don't care about electricity bills.

I bought this bed when it was on sale at Amazon and it has worked very well. It does not get warm until the animal lays on it. Our dog loves it because we turn the heat down at night. I like that the heating pad comes out so the bed can be washed. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Best Deals for K&H Thermo-Bed Quilted Pet Bed

This bed has found a new fan. My French Bulldog Billy just loves it. It is fairly thick and he sleeps on it in our familyroom. It is made of a durable yet soft canvas type material that is doggy fluff proof although I discourage fluffing due to the electrical component. Billy is 12 inches tall, weighs 25lb and is about 20 inches from the tip of his flat nose to the tip of his stumpy tail . I ordered the medium size and it is just perfect for him. The only thing I don't like and the reason I gave it 4 stars is there is no temperature control on this bed. It is plug it in and forget it. Sometimes Bill gets too hot on it and moves off which is normal but still I wish it had a control. I think you will be happy with this bed as it really does promote warmth and comfort for your pet. I will see if I can include some pictures of Billy lying on it.

Honest reviews on K&H Thermo-Bed Quilted Pet Bed

I purchased this bed in small for my aging cat (14 years) and for my capricious kitty (2 years) who won't get off the cable box. At first I was very disappointed. The cats seemed to show little or no interest. But after about 1 week it was a HUGE hit. The two don't often sleep together, but are willing to compromise when it comes to this bed. I also purchased the K&H Thermo-Kitty Mat 12.5" x 25" so that each cat would have their own heating pad. However, the K&H Thermo-Kitty Mat has dense foam padding and a smaller heating unit, and as a result doesn't generate as much heat. The K&H Thermo-Bed is fluffy and soft and generates a lot of heat. As noted in the reviews, one should monitor your pet's use of this product. Initially, we began by just plugging it in while we were home in the evenings. Now it's plugged in all the time and one or both of the cats spend most of the day sleeping on it. The older cat loves the heat, and if he gets too hot he shifts position (the heating pad only runs through the center 1/3 of the bed). Because it does generate quite a bit of heat, I would not recommend this for confined spaces like carriers or kennels. However, as a warm winter bed in a chilly apartment it definitely does the trick. Round of appaws from both cats.

The self-warming pet crate pad is wonderful. It's machine washable too. The corners are "split" so it'll fit well in a crate, however I bought it as a window perch pad. My cats enjoy looking out the window, so I thought this might warm them up while bird watching! The pad is very soft and flexible. I have 4 cats and 3 of them instantly loved it. I had another brand of a self warming pet pad and it made a fairly loud crinkle noise every time the cats stepped on it, this one, thankfully, does NOT do that. Excellent price and fantastic find!

I have for the last 8 years had two cats who decided to adopt me. These were obviously abandoned babies who stay together. I got a large dog house to provide shelter for them. It had been fitted with blankets in the winter for them to stay warm and dry. I was very excited to see this product which could provide some extra warmth for these precious babies. They have no interest in coming inside the house with me so I do all I can to give them comfort outside. I insulated the house with sheets of foam and improvised a swinging door so they are both dry and warm. They love it and the mat just upgraded their comfort. Thanks to Amazon for having this product.

Best Deals for K&H Self-Warming Pet Crate Pad

The K&H Self-Warming Pet Crate Pad was a very disappointing product, though nicely made. I had ordered it in hopes of adding a bit more warmth for a friendly but timid outdoor feral cat that seems to have adopted us; we've set up shelter for her in the backyard.

The "warming" effect of the K&H pad was so slight as to be unnoticeable. I had also ordered a different self-warming mat (the Slumber Pet Thermal Cat Mat), one I've used before with my indoor cats, but was concerned the slight crinkly noise the Slumber Pet mat makes would scare the timid feral right out of her new insulated outdoor cat house.

I did a pseudo-scientific side-by-side comparison at my kitchen table, using just the warmth of my hands, one hand placed on each mat for 1 minute. The winner was undeniable. The K&H crate mat was just a mat; I didn't feel any heat building while my hand was in place, and any warmth from my hand was gone from the mat almost as soon as I lifted my hand. The Slumber Pet mat was impressive; my hand started feeling warmer while resting on the mat. After the 1 minute was up, I could feel a definite warm spot where my hand had been, and the warmth remained for a short while after removing my hand as well.

Cat-testing revealed I could have skipped my own test. Three of three indoor cats preferred the Slumber Pet warming mat. The feral kitty happily nestled on her Slumber Pet Warming Mat as soon as I put it in her house, and she didn't care about the faint crackly noise it made. When she comes running out of her house to greet us, she is toasty warm. That's the most important part.

I will be returning the K&H mat. Sorry, K&H.

Honest reviews on K&H Self-Warming Pet Crate Pad

I ordered this for use on an old love-seat that we let the puppies use. One of our dogs has liver problems (shunts) and had lost a lot of weight and with winter looming very coldly, I've been worried about her being warm enough until she regains her weight. This pad is VERY nice looking and the animals all love it. It's also one of the few mats that has not been chewed apart the pups like it too much! It's not unusual to see both dogs and a cat or two curled up on it. I would definitely recommend it. I don't know *how* warm it keeps them, as my underweight dog still has groggy mornings from the cold, but it has definitely improved those dramatically. It's worth a try and it's pretty enough to have outside the crate (we have ours in the living room).

Our middle aged English Setter is totally enjoying his 'gift' from Santa so far.

He used to use an old blanket and always had to bunch it up 'just so'... making for a mess on the floor.. His new mat is almost always laid out nice and flat and he seems to love the heat that is reflected back.. He has yet to take a nap or spend a night on anything but the mat.

So far, we are happy campers..

UPDATE 09-24-12

We have now had this pad for just short of 2 years and are VERY HAPPY Campers.. The pad is very durable and still reflecting the heat back to our Setter's older bones.. I few (very few) warm nights in the summer, he has skipped sleeping on the mat, but otherwise, it's his only place to sleep or nap.. With having this for almost 2 years and showing very little sign of wear, I would highly recommend it. Great product and one very happy dog (which is the important part)..

I've been an intermittent paw-wax user for a long time, most recently converted to Musher's Secret. I do not live in a snow-belt region so this is primarily for surface-contact protection rather than preventing inter-pad snow buildup.

The stuff is awesome, however I have two caveats:

1) Use a latex or nitrile rubber glove when applying it. ... Unless of course you intend to wax your paws as well. :-) This also lets you use it sparingly while still working it thoroughly into the paw pad and inter-pad fur.

2) If you are putting this stuff on a mixed-location dog (indoors + walks or indoors + outdoors), put it on at the front door on your way out, otherwise the non-absorbed fraction leaves warm waxy paw-prints all over indoor surfaces.

I have a German Shepherd dog and I use Musher's Secret on his paws during the winter so that the salt and ice do not hurt them. He used to spend a lot of time licking his paws before I got this and now he doesn't do it as much when it snows (although he seems to like licking the Musher's Secret from his paws when I've just put it on) and he doesn't do it at all in normal weather. His paws tend to get worn and this product helps soothe and protect them. You don't have to use a lot either, so it lasts a long time. Thank you Musher's Secret for my baby's happy feet!

My terrier-mutt would cry and lie on her belly trying to pick up all four paws at once after only a few steps on rock salt with snow and ice. Boots were a nightmare. Musher's Secret has her trotting along over any surface, no problem. No mess on floors or carpets. Fantastic miracle product for us! (Does not help against slipping on wood/tile floors though it's not meant to, but just in case anyone is looking for a multi-use salve.)

Honest reviews on Musher's Secret

Someone recommended this to me, and I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. My 40 lb boxer mix, Lori, was spooked over the 4th of July, and ran away she ran so fast and hard on the paved roads (neighbors along the route saw her flying by) that she tore up her paw pads pretty bad to the point that they were bleeding when someone finally found her and called me after a hot day and 2 nights "out there". After a few weeks, the sores had healed, but we've had a time of trying to get her pads toughened up. We take her to daycare a couple of times per week, but have had to curtail her time there because playing in the pools and with the other dogs, she would come home with raw, cracked paw pads. Finally, I ordered this product, and she is now able to go on long walks, and stay at daycare all day, and her paw pads are fine. This isn't a protective "coating" as much as a balm to keep her pads supple and moisturized so that they do not crack and peel. There have been a lot of reviews from the folks up north about this helping for cold / salt. Count this as a recommendation for those in the southern heat during the summer.

I bought this and used it on our golden retriever's paws. The heat is a killer here in AZ and at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area/Lake Powell where we work in the summer. If I don't put this on his paws, he runs for the shade and can't stand on the hot sand. With this on his pads, he seems to be able to walk/run without suffering from the heat. We never allow him on the hot sand/pavement for long but it seems to really make a difference. He knows that it won't hurt to have it rubbed on his feet and will lift all four feet to have it applied. He also knows he needs to dip his paws in a pan of water to clean the sand off when he comes aboard the houseboat unless he thinks you are not watching. This product is worth it.

If you have a dog that loves to chew, particularly a larger breed, this is a great bone for a good price. The entire Ranch Rewards product series is a win with my GSD. She kills these bones sometimes in 24 hours, other times over the course of several days, but she loves them! Great deal.

I purchased this gate to contain my son's vivacious little Pug in our family room. I originally had the expanding type, but when I injured my knee, it became impossible to step over it. I liked the clean look of this gate and that it was black. Black has a tendency to "disappear" as opposed to beige or white. If you have to have a gate, this one is very chic.

Installation was quite a "balancing act." The installation instructions assume you don't have baseboards. To have the gate work properly that is, to automatically close and latch, the tension has to be even. The gate comes looking like it's broken, but that's part of the tension issue. Also, the description says that it is tension mounted no bolting to the walls, but the instructions recommend screwing "end caps" onto your wall and putting the tension bars into them. This would definitely make the gate much more secure, if needed, like for a child, but I didn't want to do that for my temporary purpose. The tension is achieved similar to that of a shower rod by twisting the ends of the bars.

There are two latches on this gate. One on top and one on the base. I could not adjust my gate to the point of getting the top latch to connect, but the bottom one works fine. I have to give a slight upward pull to "release" it. Despite this small issue, the gate is perfect and works smoothly. I like the fact that it opens both ways and latches automatically when closing.

Finally, my space was just slightly over the 42.5 allowance. I used some small felt pads to adjust the fit, but this could also be the reason I couldn't get enough tension to get the top latch connected. For my "non-secure" application, this isn't a big issue. I wouldn't recommend this "fix" for securing a child, though.

From opening the box to having the gate installed took about 20 minutes. I would buy another one of these if I had to.

This is a GREAT dog gate. It is so easy to install you dont need any tools. The extender just fits right into place nothing to put together. You dont have to screw anything into the wall, its all pressure mounted. I have two Siberian Huskies, a giant Heinz-57 and two Pomeranians and a toddler so finding a gate that would work for all was a little tricky. I mounted this one a little up off of the floor to get some extra height and its working perfectly. Neither the baby or the dogs have gotten past it yet.

Its easy to open with one hand. It also happens to look really nice! I'm very pleased with it.

Measure carefully there isn't alot of give.

Looks very nice and has a tight fit. Our dog jumps up on it and it doesn't even budge. Very easy to install. Latch is a little hard to work, but probably has to be to keep younger kids from figuring out how to open it.

Honest reviews on Bindaboo Pet Gates Swing-Close Expandable Pet Gate

I bought this to keep a small dog and a kitten contained. The height was excellent as neither pet could climb the vertical bars, nor could they jump 40 inches straight up, but the kitten (5months old/5lbs) easily got through the spaces between the bars. Pluses are great design esthetic, and felt really secure mounted in the space where other gates have seemed like they are going to "give" with the slightest pressure. Negatives did not suit one of my purposes since the slats are far enough apart to allow a smaller pet to get through. Also makes a really loud "CLANG" every time it closes. Even using a level, unfortunately this gate never lined up properly for me as per the directions and instructional video on their site. Customer service was very cordial/helpful but in the end after troubleshooting all areas it seems this unit is defective and will have to go back. FYI, this company makes and markets a "baby" model/version of this EXACT same gate and can be found here on Amazon for about half the price search under Dream Baby.

We recently acquired a new foster dog into our home (French Bulldog) who has the ability to jump over the standard gates we have used in the past. While searching on Amazon I came across this bindaboo gate. Everything about it was appealing to me except that I would be required to purchase an additional extension so it would fit in our hallway. After looking on Amazon some more I came across this product Dreambaby Extra Tall Swing Close Gate with Extensions, White. It is the EXACT same gate as the bindaboo, it is just marketed as a baby gate. The dreambaby gate comes with two extensions and a lower price tag.

The quality of these gates are excellent. I found one design feature That I did not like, you must slide the button on top of the gate back and lift up to open the door. It is awkward trying to slide the button and lift the gate while holding a leash in your other hand. It's no big deal though, I simply got a small piece of electrical tape and applied it over the latching mechanism. Problem solved.
