I heard that dogs learn new tricks faster using clicker training than traditional methods (i.e. pushing down their butt and jerking up on the leash to get them to sit). After using these clickers, I agree. I am finding these clickers to be very effective dog training tools.

I now feed my dog his breakfast each morning a few kibbles at a time as training rewards. He has learned several new tricks quickly such as spinning in a circle on command, putting his feet up on objects that I point to, jumping over a broomstick, and crawling under the broomstick.

I love how this method involves no punishments, only rewards. Rather than being frustrated at my dog for not doing what I've asked, I've now learned to creatively think of new ways to help him understand what I'd like him to do. It really motivates my dog, and it's fun for me. I've made a list of ~50 new tricks that I want to teach my dog, and I feel that this clicker revolutionized the way I do dog training.

I also tried an older metal clicker, and I prefer the plastic Karen Pryor ones that are not harsh-sounding.

For the most part I am pleased with these clickers. Karen Pryor i Click Training Clickers with wrist bands 4 Pack When I purchased them they were $7.99 but did not come with the wrist bands which is a great addition now.

They are a comfortable fit in the hand and the button makes it easy to feel and click. The only thing I am not pleased with is the volume. I take my dog to training classes and with the noise level there or outdoors, you can hardly hear the clicker. For that reason I would not purchase again, but will continue to use these in quieter settings, like at home.

This is a great product! Being a dog trainer I really do look for clicker that marks the behavior the instant it occurs. I have bought clickers from petco that get stuck or are hard to push down for the same price. But I got 4 clickers for the price of one. It's awesome. The big button on the clicker makes it really easy to use. I wouldn't train dogs with anything else. I bought 2 4packs. One pack for my friend who also agrees that they are way better then the ones that we have been buying from petco. They really are a great product and I would recommend them to anyone.

My wiener dog Zoey recieved this toy as a free gift when I ordered her a costume from fancydogclothes (I almost threw it away it was so ugly). This is the only "plush" toy that she hasn't ripped to shreds. She runs around with it growling to the cats to get away because it's her toy. I have ordered her 3 more in hopes she continues not to chew it up. My older wiener dog hardly ever chewed anything up and with this puppy, I am having a hard time finding her something that she'll actually play with without destroying it. Just last night I gave her a new plush toy that I spent 10.00 on and after an hour she had chewed a hole in it. So I don't know if she just likes this ugly little orange toy or they have put something in it to make dogs love it.

I bought this product because of the ingredient list. I feed my dogs home cooked food and although I always try to balance their diet there are times they don't get everything they need. This product had some of the ingredients that they need and the one dog needs a probiotic so this was something I thought would work as a daily supplement. My small dog will growl at food she doesn't like and will leave her veggies but she doesn't seem to mind this powder and she has been eating some of her veggies if I put the powder on them. Overall, the dog that needs the probiotics seems to be better with less stomach problems. Not sure if the powder was responsible for their decrease in scratching but since they stopped itching about 2 weeks after starting this product it probably did help. I also have been adding more oil during this time because their skin gets very dry in the colder weather causing them to itch. But they are definitely better than last year when they only had the oil. I wish this could be bought on the automatic shipping for convenience.

Months ago we had to take our yorkie to the vet twice because she was throwing up and having bloody/goo diarrhea daily extremely concerning! I ordered one of the Small, Blue Stuff n' Throw Balls for my Mom's Pomeranian by accident. Her dog had taken an interest in my dog's Stuff n' Throw LOCK (which is pictured instead of the ball), and I thought ordering a small version (ours is large, for a Golden) would be as easy as looking at the photo, then choosing the size. So, we were a little surprised when the ball came, instead of the lock, but we've been pretty happy with it. My dogs have the large ball, in addition to the large lock. We stuff both of them with peanut butter, as does my Mom, instead of using treats. The balls hold a lot more peanut butter than the locks, and they're much easier to clean. I can see how the lock would hold treats pretty well, and how dogs could reach in there with their tongue/teeth to pull the treats out, but I don't know how easy it would be (or if it would be possible at all) for a dog to get the treat out of the ball. I suppose it depends on the size of the treat and how far you put it into the ball. Overall, we're happy with the lock and the ball. We probably like the ball a little better, just because it's easier to clean and has more surface area inside for more treats/peanut butter.

I got this toy for my Bearded Collie. He is normally bored by treat toys (the treat pocket is too small on most kongs and other toys and all he can do is get small kibbles out and they come out too easily), but this toy has a wider pocket for treats...so I can stick larger biscuits in the pocket which he has to work to get out. I think he also likes the smell of the stuff n' throw. It smells like vanilla, not rubber. It also appears to stand up to moderate chewing. Best of all (for me) is that it is non-toxic and made in the USA!

We bought one of these gefilte fishes at a local shop. My dog loved this toy so much he wore out the recording of "oy vey!" Such a sad ending to a great fish toy. So I went back to the store to buy another just to be told they were no longer in production. Not to be daunted I went to my old reliable Amazon to find the elusive fish. Lo and behold.....there it was. I ordered two of them. The fish is slightly smaller than the original and has a more youthful voice....not quite the same but my dog did not seem to notice. My elderly MinPin, Little Lulu, was born with luxations, and had developed a disorder diagnosed by our vet as a degeneration of the spinal discs. She literally could barely walk, and then only a few tottering steps on a rug or some such. If set down she flumped down like a bean bag. She spent her days staring blankly [or forlornly] at the carpet in front of her; there seemed nothing the vet could do, and I assumed, almost hoped, that death was only a matter of days away. A concerned friend brought me a bottle of these bone-shaped biscuits. This sounds too good to be true, but I swear it is. The day after I gave Little Lulu the second half of a biscuit, I was amazed to see her up and walking; her aspect was perky. Within the week she was entirely back to normal. That was two months ago, and she is still as if reborn. I continue to give her half a tablet twice every day, and she continues to have come back to life. I have to believe it was this product that made this miracle, and I want to recommend it to every one whose dog has mobility problems. I certainly told my vet about it. Just exactly which formulation it is now in I cannot say. The label on mine says "natural chicken flavor" and "with glucosamine and joint comfort blend". I myself have taken glucosamine and chondroitin for many years [because our then-vet recommended it for our then-dog] [and vets are so conservative, I figured if it was recommended by a vet it must do some good. And it does.]

This toy is supposed to be chewed. It is a dental stick. My 6 month old lab chewed both ends off the first week. I had to take it away from him because he ate pieces of it. It was a waste of money and not safe for even moderate chewers.

As a guardian to five rescue dogs four rat terrier/fox terrier/Jack Russell terrier mixes and a dachshund my house is littered with dog toys. (My mother jokes that the dogs have more toys than she did growing up.) Far and away, their favorite brand is Kong. Some of the dogs are so fussy that they'll even pass up the Kong imitations in favor of the classic red and black chew toys.

The smallest of the bunch, 14-pound O-Ren, is also the roughest chewer. She can rip through some of the flimsier chew toys in just a few hours. (My lil' girl is deceptively tough!) Thus far, the Kong brand toys are the only chew toys I've found that stand a chance against her tenacious teeth. If given the opportunity, she can still dismantle a Kong but in a matter of weeks, not hours or days. Though she's a small dog, I buy her medium-sized Kongs, since they offer added resistance (but always the red ones; the black ones are tougher XTREME! so much so that I'm afraid they might knock her lil' teefies loose). Occasionally I'll experiment with large Kongs, but they usually prove too big for her.

Right now, she's hooked on the red dental sticks; I have a dozen backups stashed away in the pantry, so that when she ruins one, I can quickly replace it. As a smaller dog, she generally prefers the medium sized dental stick, however, she also has a few large ones that she'll play with on occasion. The large size is small enough that she can still reasonably chew on it, but large enough that she has trouble carrying it in her mouth. So I try to coax her into playing fetch with the medium size; and, when she's got her mind on chewing, I try to replace the medium dental stick with a large one (since they're that much more difficult to chew through). If you have a mediumor large-sized dog, you'll probably want to splurge on the large red dental Kong.

A word of caution: once your dog bites into the dental stick and starts ripping pieces loose, it's time to replace the toy. Rennie has eaten pieces of the rubber, thus upsetting her stomach and causing bouts of vomiting, usually lasting for a few days. In order to make the dental sticks last, once she rips into one end, I cut the stick in half in the middle, extending the toy's life for a few days.

Bottom line: always supervise your companion, inspect his or her toys, and replace when necessary!

I am a 6 1/2 year old chocolate Lab and have been using this product since I was a puppy. My vet says I have great teeth and fabulous gums. Every morning the "staff" here puts peanut butter on my Kong and I spend a good 15 minutes cleaning my teeth with it. Four paws up!

I have this pet water dispenser and I found it to be a nuisance while out in the park with my dog. In order to use it you have to un-clip the bottom, pull the water bottle out, push it into the top opening and then begin squeezing the water bottle to dispense the water. Also, the water comes out in very small increments. I used it twice and gave up.

I found the Gulpy pet water dispenser by New Angle to be far superior to the Handi-Drink version. You just pull up the water bottle and begin squeezing the bottle and your dog is drinking water in seconds. The water comes out much easier than the Handi-Drink and the Gulpy is far more convenient. I have never found the Gulpy pet water dispenser on Amazon but if you Google it you can find other places that sell it. I also just recently found it at my local REI store.

I have purchased several Gulpy's to keep in both cars and to give to friends. In my opinion, this one is far better than the Handi-Drink, if only for ease of use.

UPDATE: One thing I failed to mention in my original review is that the belt clip on the Gulpy is basically useless as it will not stay on a belt, especially with a bottle full of water. The Handi-Drink does come with a clip and "shoestring" type strap but with a bottle full of water I found it to be cumbersome and with it swinging while trying to walk just doesn't work for me. Hands down I still prefer the Gulpy and still use it all the time with my two dogs. You can also find the Gulpy on eBay.

Well, it looks really nice, inexpensive, sounds pretty good, is compact enough to throw in a backpack. Please advise, it leaks and made a big mess, I was extremely annoyed and disappointed. Therefore, if you plan to go for a walk, kill 2 birds with 1 shot, taking your toddlers, their bottles, snacks, little toys and your puppy at the same time; make sure to add an extra bottle of water, because that one only serves the purpose as a bowl.

A good friend got a different dog water dispenser (the Gulpy) as a gift and would bring it with us on long hikes with the dogs. I bought this dispenser at Petco, after seeing her Gulpy, thinking it was similar enough. I was wrong. To use the Gulpy, my friend simply flips it open, squeezes the water out for her dog, then flips it back closed. To use this dispenser, you have to unclip the water bottle, insert it into the dispensing end, dispense the water, then unclip the bottle from the dispensing end and place it back in its original position for carrying. It doesn't seem that difficult, but it's really a pain when you just want to give your dog a quick drink, AND you have to make sure both of your hands aren't full b/c you will need both of them for this dispenser every time you use it. The one advantage of this one over the Gulpy is that is has a carrying strap instead of just a belt clip, which I like. However, I'll still be buying the Gulpy just for the ease of use and perhaps using the carrying strap from this dispenser on the Gulpy!

I was excited when I ordered this collar and it arrived the NEXT DAY so that was great. Unfortunately, though it looks adjustable, it doesn't lock into place and is useless to me since my dog can take it off! My son had put this on our dog and within an hour I noticed that I could put my entire hand between his collar and neck...my son insisted that the collar had been tighter, so we took it off and discovered that it didn't lock. Perhaps I'm missing something, but once it is set at a size there doesn't appear to be any way to keep it there. No instructions were provided so we tried everything that we could think of, (it's not the first collar that I've ever bought), but no luck. I was VERY, VERY disappointed.
