The spray leaves my Yorkie's coat smooth and it smells good. However, remember to wipe the floor as the oil may create slips. :)

I love the coat "Rebuilder" made by the same company so believed this would be great too. Unfortunately, It's OK at best.

Horrible scent. I mean it makes me feel ill. Yes I know some of us are more sensitive to scents than others. So that being said I can't bring myself to try it on my cats which we got it for. Two long haired boys that mat up pretty bad. Hoped this would do it. I wish I could find unscented version that's safe to use on animals including cats. I'm not sure what I'll do with this product now. Maybe I can re-sell on Ebay having not used it...just sniffed it. Several times over several days to see if it was just me having a bad day. NO.....it lingers too. UGH!

I have a little white dog with long hair. Regular brushing is critical for her appearance, snarl control and to remove hair that otherwise ends up on the furniture, floors and my black stockings. And, with a white dog it is important to avoid certain ingredients that will yellow their coat. I have tried 4 or 5 products over the last few years and this spray is the best I have found. It has not had a negative effect on her coat color and it helps smooth out her coat and any snarls that have formed. It is not oily or over-perfumed. She looks great after grooming, she smells better and I don't have to bathe her quite as often.

i bought this to use on my 3 Maine Coons, one of which is older with some arthritis and cannot clean himself well to keep out the mats. I used this on a big mat the older cat had on his hip--sprayed it on fairly heavy and let it sit for a while then brushed it out. and it came right out! i sprayed another he had and it came out as well. This product also makes his fur very smooth and soft, and seems to help with his dry skin issues on his hips. I recommend it highly

I work at a dog boutique and we carry John Paul Pet products, but not the detangler. A customer recommended this product for our shop. It is a great product. Good for between baths. My multipoo looks like she's had a bath after using this product. Fresh, fluffy and smelling wonderful. Hopefully we will carry this product soon.

Honest reviews on John Paul Pet Detangling Spray

This may have been a good product but I had to wash my dog after the spray. The perfume smell kicked in my allergies. Even my little dog was sneezing. We were eventually happy when we got that man (John Paul) out of our hair).

This product really works. I spray a little on the matted hair and massage it in a little. After a few mintues the brush kinda of glides right through the tangle. If it is a thick tangle I brush as much as I can and within a few hours I find it on the floor. Crystal (my long haired tabby) helps to work it loose. She tangles easily and is far more receptive to brushing using this product.

I love these leashes and have them in all colors. They are great for rain and for walking in the dark, which we do a lot of in the Pacific NW. They are also comfortable to hold & the clasp is very strong. They tend to wear along the edges quickly, but we get a lot of use out of them and at this price I think it's worth buying a new one every year.

Plenty long enough and strong enough. Very reflective when head lights hit it...which is the entire point. Pretty easy to clean although the color stains pretty easily. I just wash it with soap and water and it's good to go. The material feels nice.

I really like the soft, slightly spongey feel of this leash in my hand but my 40lb. beagle mix walks better with a shorter leash that has less stretch. I save this leash for night time "hanging around" when I am not concerned about maintaining a short lead.

The zones work great, within the limits listed below.

Good Points

1. Has a A, B, and AB setting which lets you control individual dog access to areas or objects (such as separate food bowls for special diets, rooms, etc)

2. The shock is mild but definitely uncomfortable (I tested it on me before I used it on the dogs). It is milder than the strong static shocks I regularly get around the house.

3. The dogs quickly learn to avoid things that cause shocks.

Limits

1. Collar wear is recommended to be limited to 12 hours due to rubbing by the stud on the neck. This can be a problem with intelligent dog and schedules requiring longer wear times. Intelligent dogs can quickly learn that the collar is the source of the shock and can wait until they are not wearing it to get into the forbidden.

2. The range increments listed (2-12 ft) are not dependable. I find mine, with direct line of sight, is half that or less.

3. The six available range settings are not enough. There are times that 1 or 2 ft increment is too much.

4. Area of affect is spherical. Keep this in mind when deciding where to use them. Depending on the range setting, just walking by the counter or under the table can set them off even if all you intended was to discourage Fluffy's nose from appearing on the counter/table top. The only way to alleviate this is to find some way to dangle the zone from the ceiling to correctly limit the reaction area to those 3 ft off the floor.

If you own an obnoxious young Siamese cat like I do, you understand the frustration of demolished house plants, tracked-all-over counter tops, and strewn trash. But not anymore! To my great suprise, cats shock-collar train really well :D

This device is really easy to use, though you won't be convinced after the first day. You DO have to make some adjustments to the system before it starts working the way it was designed to (zapping mr. kitty so he learns to not be into stuff!)

Some little pointers you need to know when setting up your system.

1) Placement of the trasmitter (the fire alarm looking thing): be sure you understand that on the maximum distance setting (6 notches) it is only projecting a radio signal out 6 feet in any direction (a total diameter of 12 feet). So, if you set it next to your house plant, kitty is only going to stay a maximum of 6 feet away from it (which is plenty to make your plant feel more comfortable ;o)

2) Collar fit (very important!!): this system will not work AT ALL if you do not have the collar tight enough! Remember that animals have fur, and it will mat down under the collar after about an hour. My mistake was to adjust the collar to a comfortable fit, which basically left the contact prongs just floating in fur (they have to contact the animal's skin in order to correct/zap them). So, the first day I was a little frusterated when Khemos just laid all over the transmitters and never got zapped. There were a lot of warning beeps, but no response from him. The next day, I got smart and adjusted the collar to a VERY snug fit, and was sure to move the hair out from under the prongs (you should be able to get just a finger tip under the end of the prongs when fitted correctly). And that's when the product started to work.....and boy did it! :D Don't be afraid that it's too powerful for a cat though. I zapped myself when I was testing it, and where it made me drop the collar (I was not expecting the shock when I got shocked) it didn't stop my heart or "hurt" me *lol*

Also note to be sure not to make kitty wear it all the time. It will eventually irritate the skin at the contact points, and there can be some hair loss. We keep Khemos locked up in 'his' bathroom at night, and put the collar back on him in the morning when he has run of the entire house. Also note that you can save the battery life on your transmitters if you turn them off when not in use.

If you have a long haired cat, you may want to shave a little bit of hair under the neck when you first start using this collar. You won't have to keep kitty looking that way forever (don't worry ;o) as the collar tends to train pretty quickly. It doesn't take long before the warning beep is enough to send them running away from the transmitter.

MORE HELPFUL INFORMATION 4-6-2011

Ok folks....I realize that I've already written enough about this product, but there are a couple additional pointers that will help you get the most out of this product:

1) Both prongs must be touching the skin at the same time in order to transmit a shock/"static correction". So if you're testing the collar on yourself before applying it to your pet, you will need to be touching BOTH prongs in order to experience.....well, the experience ;O)

2) If you happen to have a kitty with razor sharp hind claws, you will probably have to replace the handy-dandy collar this unit comes with (our's was scratched to smithereens within 6 months). After spending a great deal of time trying to find a replacement collar that would easily thread through the receiver's slots, the thought occurred to me that I could easily make a new collar! So I went down to our local JoAnn's Fabric store, and purchased about 18 inches of black, 3/4" wide elastic. To construct the collar, simply cut the old collar off the buckle, and thread one end of the elastic through it. Pull about 1 inch through and stitch through both layers to secure the buckle (it's easier than it sounds). I chose elastic over plain nylon web for it's stretchiness, and it's made a BIG difference (don't know why Innotek/PetSafe hasn't thought of this yet!?) The elastic gives a little making the collar MUCH easier/faster to fasten to a snug fit on a squirming cat. It also helps the prongs stay in better contact with the skin if the animal scratches the receiver out of position. Lastly, I think the little bit of give provides a more humane fit (which i know is a weird point to make about a 'shock collar' ;o)

These zones are a terrific investment. Our dog is very intelligent, so my wife and I devised a plan. I always put the collar on before we take the dog outside. He gets so excited that he associates the collar with going outside and never puts 2 and 2 together. He has figured out that the source of the shock emanates from the zone though.

Even so, he doesn't mess with them. After numerous episodes of his destructive shenanigans and many failed attempts at containment, this finally did the trick!!

Honest reviews on PetSafe Pawz Away Extra Indoor Pet Barrier, ZND-1000

This product simply did not work. I have two beagle puppies, 6 and 10 months. The 6 month old puppy didn't seem to even notice anything. The 10-month puppy twitched a little every few seconds but kept right on doing whatever she wanted to do.

I put the collar on my wrist to see if it was working and because I wanted to see what I was subjecting my dogs to. It was working, but the range was sporadic sometimes up to the three feet advertised and sometimes I had to be very close. The shock was very, very mild. I have since bought a SportDog 400S collar and it works great on the lowest setting, though of course it is manual so I have to actually be watching the puppies to correct anything. But the point is, my dogs are not immune to the shock training...just the ZND-1000 is not even close to powerful enough.

A word of caution I bought the product from because they were cheaper than amazon at the time (wish now I had bought from amazon because they have a better return policy). When I returned it they took a 20% re-stocking fee, so I lost $27 for the two collars and systems. Check the store's return policy before you buy this!!!! The packaging is hermetically sealed and it is impossible to get the system out to test it without destroying the packaging, so if the store wants all packaging intact for a return you are basically totally committed to the product whether it works or not.

We purchased the disc as an add-on to the Innotek contain n train system. While it took some time to get our 2 dogs conditioned to the underground fence and the remote trainer, the disc worked right out of the box... Within a day, both dogs avoided the area and after less than a month, both dogs seemed to respect the zone whether they had their collars on or not. We've had one disc for around 3 months and just ordered a second one for another area of the house because we love how well the zones work.

a spray like "Flea-Free Breeze", which not only kills fleas but also keeps flea eggs from developing into biting adults, is a valuable tool in controling and preventing fleas in your home. i bought this product once, and it worked fine. there wasn't an unpleasant chemical odor. the fragrance was pleasant, but any time i used this product in our home, it would cause my husband and i both to start sneezing horribly. we've used other brands of flea-killing fabric spray as well as Febreze in our home in the past without having this kind of problem, so i never expected to have this kind of reaction. a fabric spray that both kills fleas and provides a fresh fragrance really is a great idea, but if you're even the least bit sensitive to perfume-y, artificial fragrances (which we generally aren't), you should probably steer clear of this product.

then the spray might as well smell pretty good while you kill fleas. earlier in the summer, i ran out of frontline for the dogs, and we all paid for that mistake. in conjunction with frontline and exterior lawn products, this stuff helped to get things back under control inside the house without smelling like toxic waste. i spray this around the house every so often, just to be sure.

We had a huge flea problem. I was killing fleas all day. I hated to get out of bed to even go to the bathroom. I hated coming home due to the fleas. I even found one on me in the parking lot of my place of employment ! I didn't know what to do,then I came cross THIS product. I read the reviews and decided to try it. Boy am I glad I did! I had instructed the family to open and read the directions as soon as the package arrived. When I got home a few hours later, there were no more fleas!!!! I ordered 3 bottles, but since I found the one in the parking lot, I was afraid that my car might be infested as well. So I ordered 2 more bottles. This stuff REALLY works!!!!

We use this as part of a preventative plan. We have 3 dogs and one cat that are all indoor/outdoor. We started using this product back in April 2011 as part of a flea prevention plan. Because 2 of our dogs are Pomeranian's and our cat is long haired sometimes I think some of the monthly treatment gets lost in their fur and they don't get the full treatment no matter how hard we try.

The cost Sergeant's 24-Ounce Flea-Free Breeze Home and Carpet Spray is more than regular fabric sprays like Febreeze, but it is much cheaper than battling fleas once infested. We use the spray about once a week during the hot months (which in San Antonio was 9 months out of the year). We spray the pets bedding, the area rug on our wood floors and our chenille sofas (which we bought before we had dogs and hope to change out with leather for Christmas).

If we actually see a flea or our groomer finds them on the dogs then all the pet beds and sofa pillows and cushions get taken out to the porch and given a generous spraying of SentryHOME Flea and Tick Home and Carpet Spray 96-Fluid Ounce and the carpets get a dusting of flea carpet sprinkle after the spray dries.

Use some of the home and carpet spray to saturate a cotton ball and put inside your vacuum bag or keep a flea collar in the bag to kill any fleas that get sucked up. They can get out. It is best to take your vacuum outside and empty the bag (or cylinder as we have a Dyson) and seal it in a garbage back and take directly to the trash. Put the cotton ball or flea collar in the vacuum before taking it back in the house. Cotton balls should be changed every time you vacuum, flea collars can be reused for about 6 months and are also a good preventative measure.

I ordered this product a couple weeks back from PlumStruck and received it in pretty poor condition and. They offered me $50 to keep it, but the damage was so bad we could not even use the hinged roof, because the hinge was torn off and the notch that holds it in was busted. The roof had a hole in it an almost all of the corners of it were broken off. The product I received looked like it was on an Amazon Merry-go-round and was destined to end up with someone too lazy to pack it back up and send it back. Don't waste your time with a company that sells this kind of product.

We just got this dog house last week. My daughter and I put it together in a very short time. Before we could get it finished the dogs were already going in and out of it. We finished it put all their blankets and pillows in it and we can barely get them out of it, they absolutely love it! Our cat loves sleeping in it too, there is plenty of room. As long as you have some way to wedge the stairs so that they don't slide. they work great for a small dog. Fortunately, the way my bedroom is set up, I can wedge a corner of the bottom stair against my chest of drawers so that the stairs are held securely against my high Cal King bed and do not slip on my hardwood floor. My 10 pound papillon took to the stairs immediately with only one try (enticed with a treat). Now she flies up and down them and I don't have to worry about her jumping off of my high bed onto the hardwood floors and hurting herself. The stairs also look nice and are easy to un-wedge and store during the day against a wall in the bedroom. A plus is that if you bump your toe against them in the night, it does not hurt! I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this puzzle to help entertain my smart and curious and food driven dogs. My "boys" love it! We play it every single day. Often to work on obedience (sit, get it, down, get it!) and just for fun administration of treats and even dinner. My golden retriever loves it, but is a chewer, so he must be supervised with it. He pulled the cups out and thought that in itself was the reward... LOL but once I simply pointed to the treat hidden in the pawprint dish, he figured it out and was a happy camper. I also bought the spinner, which is actually my favorite of the two styles. I can get my golden's entire kibble allotment for one meal (we feed twice a day) inside it, so it slows down his feeding (so he doesn't gulp it down and get bloat). I know that my dogs love it by the perked ears and bouncing when they see me pick one of the toys up. They also sit and wait to be "released" to start their game. Great fun! The plastic is nice too since you can disinfect it easily or wash it in the sink without worrying about warping, splitting, or cracking wood like on the expensive models of similar toys. Plus, the price has been great and I found it at my local canine speciality store too!

i have to admit i was worried this was a big mistake when i first gave this toy to Bacon. he was confused. he first tried barking maniacally to get the treats to appear. he then tried digging into the carpet next to the toy. i wondered if i'd be able to send the toy back, as there was no way i would pull this toy out again if all it did is prove that my dog is not smart and barks too much. luckily, within 15 minutes, he successfully unearthed a treat. it's not an easy toy for him but it's amazing to me that he has learned how to do it. he's learned a bit of patience and problem solving. two things i doubted he'd ever learn.

the yellow plastic parts we've lost one. i'm really not sure what Bacon did with it. i just use that open cubby as the 'easy hole' for him to find a treat in. Bacon is a schnorkitzu (schnauzer yorkie shihtzu). i imagine larger dogs would chew the yellow parts up pretty quickly.

i'm looking forward to getting another puzzle toy in the future. i recommend this toy.

Best Deals for Dog Games Paw Hide Treat Toy

My dog can get bored easily and when he's bored he's destructive and annoying. So I try to find anything I can to keep his mind busy and hopefully wear him out. He figured this toy out fast and gets his food in about 2 minutes, but he does really love it and he often settles down after playing with it. My other dog (the chi x you see in the picture) has absolutely no interest in working for his food. So I guess it's not for all dogs, but if your dog is busy, this is a good way to occupy him for awhile.

Honest reviews on Dog Games Paw Hide Treat Toy

Another great idea for a dog toy, but my medium-sized dog cracked the yellow covers in less than 5 min. The plastic shattered. She will never see those little yellow covers again. I might find a way to cover the food wells with something else, now that I'm stuck with this toy. My dog is not a chewer, and this toy did not stand up.

We have so many stuffed toys from Kyjen and love them all so we decided to purchase some of the puzzle toys. We selected the Paw Hide Treat Toy and Puzzle Kibble Drop hoping to give our dogs a new challenge. We opened the box of the Paw Hide, placed some treats in two of the compartments and put it on the ground. Shortly after, I noticed a bit of red on the yellow pieces. The small slits in the yellow pieces (at the bottom of the paw image) were so sharp that they cut my dog's tongue straight down the middle. Now he has a serpent's tongue for the rest of his life. Obviously this toy is meant for the dog to bite at; I didn't even think to check out the plastic and I really wish I had. It is as though a machine punched the plastic and then it was left as is. It isn't visibly sharp but once you run your finger over it you can't deny that it is dangerous. We've lost a bit of faith in Kyjen as a result of this product. On the plus side, Amazon was very good about refunding our purchase even though we couldn't return the toy because it had been used.

We also have the Puzzle Kibble Drop. It is great-no sharp, dangerous plastic on it and it keeps the dogs occupied. They enjoy trying to open the doors to get to the treat.
