a spray like "Flea-Free Breeze", which not only kills fleas but also keeps flea eggs from developing into biting adults, is a valuable tool in controling and preventing fleas in your home. i bought this product once, and it worked fine. there wasn't an unpleasant chemical odor. the fragrance was pleasant, but any time i used this product in our home, it would cause my husband and i both to start sneezing horribly. we've used other brands of flea-killing fabric spray as well as Febreze in our home in the past without having this kind of problem, so i never expected to have this kind of reaction. a fabric spray that both kills fleas and provides a fresh fragrance really is a great idea, but if you're even the least bit sensitive to perfume-y, artificial fragrances (which we generally aren't), you should probably steer clear of this product.

We had a huge flea problem. I was killing fleas all day. I hated to get out of bed to even go to the bathroom. I hated coming home due to the fleas. I even found one on me in the parking lot of my place of employment ! I didn't know what to do,then I came cross THIS product. I read the reviews and decided to try it. Boy am I glad I did! I had instructed the family to open and read the directions as soon as the package arrived. When I got home a few hours later, there were no more fleas!!!! I ordered 3 bottles, but since I found the one in the parking lot, I was afraid that my car might be infested as well. So I ordered 2 more bottles. This stuff REALLY works!!!!

We use this as part of a preventative plan. We have 3 dogs and one cat that are all indoor/outdoor. We started using this product back in April 2011 as part of a flea prevention plan. Because 2 of our dogs are Pomeranian's and our cat is long haired sometimes I think some of the monthly treatment gets lost in their fur and they don't get the full treatment no matter how hard we try.

The cost Sergeant's 24-Ounce Flea-Free Breeze Home and Carpet Spray is more than regular fabric sprays like Febreeze, but it is much cheaper than battling fleas once infested. We use the spray about once a week during the hot months (which in San Antonio was 9 months out of the year). We spray the pets bedding, the area rug on our wood floors and our chenille sofas (which we bought before we had dogs and hope to change out with leather for Christmas).

If we actually see a flea or our groomer finds them on the dogs then all the pet beds and sofa pillows and cushions get taken out to the porch and given a generous spraying of SentryHOME Flea and Tick Home and Carpet Spray 96-Fluid Ounce and the carpets get a dusting of flea carpet sprinkle after the spray dries.

Use some of the home and carpet spray to saturate a cotton ball and put inside your vacuum bag or keep a flea collar in the bag to kill any fleas that get sucked up. They can get out. It is best to take your vacuum outside and empty the bag (or cylinder as we have a Dyson) and seal it in a garbage back and take directly to the trash. Put the cotton ball or flea collar in the vacuum before taking it back in the house. Cotton balls should be changed every time you vacuum, flea collars can be reused for about 6 months and are also a good preventative measure.

I'm using these pads for various cat issues, so I realize this is a bit non-standard. (examples: I have a cat who will pee in the round bed at the top of the cat scratcher, so I cut a around piece of the pad and secure it into the bed bottom with a plastic edging that holds it down and replace as necessary. The carpet on the bed never gets wet.) I really appreciate that they come in unscented. I cut them into various shapes for different applications and they don't fall apart nor shed the inner material when I do. They are light weight and relatively attractive. Even when cut, they do not leak out the edges. This is *key* ... the inner material absorbs very well and stops the spread of fluid. I originally tried the quilted "Gridlock" brand, but the backing is only attached on the edges, so when cut, the backing is loose. Although Gridlock pads are slightly larger, they are significantly more expensive per pad. In any case, If you are looking for a pad that works for the "odd" application, I could recommend the Lola Bean quilted pads. They are very light weight which could be a liability if you have a digging pet. They need to be secured down for some applications. The fact that they come in a nice box is also a huge plus for me.

I used to buy the Iris Neat & Dry pads but I noticed lately there were pads in the bag that kept leaking.

I use these pads clipped to a small crate tray leaning up against a wall for a cat that can't squat anymore and stands up to pee, so the pee eventually drips down to the bottom a lot of the time. I use a EZWhelp pad on the floor for the rare times she can squat...

Compared to the Iris pads, these are exceptional. So far I haven't had any problems with leaking, and they do not smell and as far as I can tell do not have a puppy attractant in them. If they do my cat doesn't mind.

She has diluted urine due to a kidney and thyroid problems so her pee doesn't have a strong smell so I can't speak for a normal cat or dog whose urine has a stronger smell to it, but for my cat there has been no smell coming from the pad after she pees on them.

I've tried a few different brands and these are by far the best. They absorb the urine perfect and don't leak to the bottom (at least not right away). Of course if you leave it there for a long time and there's lots of urine any mess can happen. However other brands I've used I've ended up having to clean up urine underneath even from one visit and less than 5 minutes have past. So what's the point in having a pad then, right!? I even notice if they do potty towards the edge it still manages not the leak out. I'm only buying these until my little one finally understands that outside is the best place to potty. :-)

Having a special needs dog who was born blind, it was difficult finding toys he could actually play with that would keep his interest. He's a German Shepherd, so he of course has that natural desire to play ball and chase things that move, but his disadvantage is actually finding it in motion, so this toy allows him to follow it wherever it goes, bounce and all. I highly recommend this toy to anyone with a blind dog or even for a seeing dog. THEY LOVE THEM!

I have no idea what kind of bird could play with this ball...but hey. That being said, I have a pit bull who LOVES this toy! He chases it, tugs with it, and occasionally drops it to be thrown (when he's not trying to tug with it. Best toy we have found. We have two of these now and both have lasted 2-3 years (we got them a year apart). If you are looking for the noise and plastic bit i would not recommend this as the plastic fades in the sun and the dog's eventually break through it. One of the reasons is that when you throw the ball, it flexes on impact and cracks the hard plastic which then breaks and falls out. not a good design. But the Rubber is strong and very durable. These have lasted through both Dry dessert, Snow covered sub freezing winters, and even Sunny Florida temperatures. And by last i mean they have spent a year or so in both environments. Our dogs were able to eventually tare the two halves apart on one of them after a year, but I guess that is to be expected as they favorite game is to "fly" with them. i.e i take my 65 lbs dog and swing her around in a circle as she bites down on the toy until all 4 legs are in the air and she is waist level. The ball never break, only her hold on it. One of my doges chews tennis balls like bubble gum and tears the fuzz off but she can't make it through this rubber. I will Submit a picture of our 3 year old one so you all can see a comparison. Again if you want the plastic noise thing in the middle this is not for you, but if you want a toy that you can play fetch with that they wont destroy, this is it. We have two doges both 65-70 lbs (Pit Mix and a Sheppard Mix) that get through the Fire hose toys, Kong flyers, the black rubber tires, and pretty much anything else that says indestructible. they are not able to get through the Kong balls though.

This item was delivered 2 days ahead of the expected delivery date which was awesome! Fairly quick to assemble by 1 person, it only took me about 25 mins. just by looking at the drawing instructions. It was the right size for our 2 shih-tzu puppies, the divider is great when we have to separate the 2 when it's feeding time and we just remove it so they can cuddle with each other with enough space (for now). The item itself is very sturdy and the quality is awesome, the trays are great, nothing sticks to it so clean up is a breeze, just spray it with a hose and everything comes off easily.

I would recommend this cage for people who has 2 toy dogs (or even 1 dog if you want ample space for your dog), good quality, a little bit heavy but 2 people can carry it when you need to move it around.

We needed a baby gate that was wide enough to put at the bottom of our stairs (about 41 inches), but other extra wide gates were expensive once you had to get the extensions to make them wide enough or you had to hardware mount them to the wall and who wants to screw things into their wall? Or, in our case, the banisters on one side of the stairs. (the gate DOES come with hardware mounts though if you prefer)

This gate is great and we feel it's a good value. It operates easily,couldn't have been easier to assemble and attaches securely. Our 5 month old daughter pulls herself up on it and it doesn't budge and just the other day we had a very large 18mo old boy at our house and he was pulling on it and it still didn't move.

I think there had been a previous version of this gate where a child had gotten their finger injured in it, but after inspecting the latching system thoroughly and even letting it slam shut on my own finger (it couldn't) I really can't see how anyone child or adult could be injured. So I'd say this version seems to have corrected whatever problem the older model had.

A tip for attaching it to a banister on one side, just velcro strap a board to the flat part of the banister so the pressure mounts have something to press against.

A note.... the gate will look like it's broken and won't close properly if you hold it up straight out of the box. It's the pressure put on the gate when it's mounted that ensures it closes properly.

And, a note for the surprising number of people who have gotten worked up thinking this is a "fake" manufacturer generated review..... it's not. While it's been very entertaining over the years to see people who have the time to get worked up over my review of a baby gate, I have no affiliation with the Regalo company other than as a satisfied customer. :)

UPDATE 2013: We're kind of annoyed that Amazon has kept all of the old reviews after Regalo changed product models and now probably most of the reviews you seee here which now no longer apply to this new model. It appears that the "Regalo Easy Open 52 Inch Super Wide Walk Thru Gate" now fits the description of the gate we have that I wrote the original review for and that's the one we're getting after we send this "new model" back. We wanted to get a second one of these gates because they're so great and we got what we thought was the same gate we bought in 2010 when I first wrote the review, but opened the box and nope! Not exactly the same, a newer model (the one pictured) which does NOT have the same operating mechanism and does NOT come with the same number of extensions and thus does not expand as far! The old mechanism was very easy to use one-handed. It was simply a spring loaded thumb lever. Check out the closeup of the latch for the "Regalo Easy Open 52 Inch Super Wide Walk Thru Gate" which appears to still have the old latch mechanism and compare it to the closeup of the "EasyStep Walk Thru" mechanism. This new model, after you slide back the thumb lever, you have to use your other hand to lift up another latch to be able to open the gate. Any parent knows you're going to be carrying kid+stuff a lot of the time and a gate you have to use two hands to open is a deal breaker for us! I should note that my husband has large hands and is technically able to open it one handed by pushing the lever with his thumb (instead of pulling it back as intended) and then using his other fingers on the same hand to kind of nudge the other latch up out of the way but he thinks it's ridiculous and I definitely can't physically do it.

We have 2 baby gates the Regalo Easy Step Walk Thru and the Munchkin Easy Close Metal Gate. I would recommend the later. There is no real problem with the Regalo, the Munchkin is just better. 1. The Munchkin lock is a lift and squeeze function designed to be done with one hand, the Regalo requires that you pull back and lift up which can be done with one hand, but is far easier with two hands (and let's face it if you have toddler you never have 2 free hands!) 2. The Munchkin has an additional 3rd lock feature at the bottom of the gate which also serves to determine which way you want the door to swing (it can also be left up so that the door swings both ways). The Regalo only swings 1 direction and has no additional lock feature. 3. The Munchkin will lock automatically when pulled closed. The Regalo must be manually locked (a 1 handed operation but still 1 addition action each time you go in and out.)

So while there is nothing really bad about the Regalo, there are better options out there!

The gate works well provided that your opening is less than 34 in or more than 37 in. In between lies the just barely works area. because for the gate to latch it requires pressure I almost ran out of screw length. I tried putting the extension on that came with it but that made it too large to fit in the opening. I had to put a 2 x 4 against the wall and screw it in to get the gate to work the way it was supposed to. Very disappointed given the reviews.

Nice gate however with a doorway opening of 35"-36" this does not work. The gate is 29" wide but with the 6" extension it is too wide to use the pressure mount as you need to allow another 1-2". Without extension, there is too much of a gap on the sides where a child could get stuck.

Pros:

1. It is taller than others, making it harder to be climbed over.

2. It serves its purpose; we couldn't live without it with twins crawling in 2 different directions.

3. Compared to others that aren't as flimsy, the price is right. The other option is metal and it's 2 times the price for half the size.

4. We added the extension and it's the perfect size for both our twins. They both have plenty of space to crawl around and all their toys.

5. Door.

6. Does fold up well to take with you

7. It does provide a safe place to put non-walking infants while you shower, pee, make dinner, etc. We use it everyday. I recommend the Step2 blue mat to go under it to avoid bumps.

8. It is easy to transport since it is light-weight.

Cons:

1. It is a little bit flimsy. You have to keep the door closed and latched or the whole thing will fall over when baby climbs on it.

2. Holes are perfect size for baby to stick hands/feet in and climb. By 9 months, my twins were able to climb half way up.

3. Only one door, others I've seen have a door on every other section, but this isn't a big issue and would probably make it even more unstable.

4. The biggest downer is that when my twins were only 8 months old, they could already move the entire thing around, including off the mat. I can only imagine how they will move the thing around when they can walk. It will defeat its purpose then since they'll be able to take off with gate in hand and get to what they want. It's too light-weight.

5. I only recommend it for babies not walking yet. Unless you tether it down to a piece of furniture or hooks on a wall, it's not useable for very long since they can slide it around when they start walking (see # 4). I would like to get more use out of it.

6. The "handle" is useless to carry it with. It's just a strap that you snap around it. The minute I picked up the gate with it, it came unsnapped. It needs something permanent.

7. It does look like a cage. I wish the slats were vertical...it would make it harder for them to climb and take away the cage-look. Who wants to "cage" their children like animals??

Overall, for the price, I would recommend it since it does serve its purpose. I've done my research, and for a plastic gate, this is the best one out there since it is taller and can be made larger with the extension. A metal one I've seen wouldn't be as flimsy, but then it would be too heavy to make it portable like this one. I guess there isn't such a thing as the "perfect play yard" all around.

**UPDATE**

My twins are now 15 months old and we are still using this play yard everyday. They are walking now and can move it around but because all the toys are in the way, etc., it keeps it somewhat in place so they never go far with it. They just move it off the mat a foot or so which still keeps them refined to one area for safety's sake. They don't like staying in there by themselves as they prefer their freedom now, so I have to get in with them while they play or they cry. There is plenty of room for me, the two of them, and TONS and TONS of toys! My biggest complaint now would have to be the holes they are the perfect size for little feet to climb. My kids can get all the way to the top so we can't leave them unattended at all. Since my kids prefer their freedom now, I think we will be packing it away soon (or using it as a large single gate across an entire room instead of an enclosed play yard), but it has been a life saver and I got more/longer use out of it then I ever thought I would.

Our 10 month old daughter is very active and very tall (30"). We thought this play yard would help contain her mischievous ways while mom and dad caught their breath.

Here are a few things we LIKE about it:

1. It's tall and the spacing of the holes is tiny. Too tiny for little toes and fingers to figure out how to climb.

2. It's relatively easy to put together. Yes, a little elbow grease is involved, but nothing that mom can't handle herself. No advanced degrees or sweaty handymen required. (Well, unless that's your thing.)

3. The pieces can be taken apart and used to block off other areas. I've used them as guards to keep her from going behind the entertainment center, couch, floor-length windows, etc.

NOW A WORD OF WARNING:

4. This product can be flimsy. If your child is into "extreme sports" or you feel has a career in stunt-doubling, this is not the product for you.

5. When completely joined, the play area is too small to be enjoyable. The extension is almost a necessity. It's quite obvious to our daughter when she is being "trapped" inside the play yard to play.

6. It says "gate with handle" and, yes, it has one. But it is extremely difficult to latch and unlatch. I would call it more "one of the panels has a plastic piece that you can attempt to unsnap, if you dare."

I have two toddlers(one who has special neeeds)who spend a HUGE amount of time in their play yard. The previous play yard I had was made by Aosom and was recalled due to choking hazards and lacerations. I researched many many play yards to find a replacement. My husband and I chose this one. It's nice and roomy but my toddlers can push it all over the place. My littlest one got his arm caught in one of the slot openings the first day we got it. My older one can literally bend the plastic all the way backwards. NOT happy with the quality of this at all!

We purchased 2 of the Summer Infant Secure Surround Play Safe Play Yards so that we could have a large space for our daughter to play in, and flexability. It has been perfect our daughter loves to go in "her space" and play, and it gives us some security knowing that she wont dart out into less safe parts of the house in a moment's inattention. We even join her in "her space" because she likes to play there so much, it is where we play with her!

The yard is very flexable in its use at home, as our daughter is in "cruizer" mode, we arranged the yard so that her favorite couch is inside the walls, so she can cruise along the couch and get her walking practice! We also take one or two of the yards with us on visits, giving us a quick way to create a safe haven for her in homes that are not necessarily child proofed.

Not much more to say other than it works as needed, is sturdy, easy to transport it was exactly what we needed.

Works well to temporarily house an infant/toddler and toys when I need to disappear to the loo or remove something hot from the oven. The folding process takes a bit to get used to and the knobs you are supposed to tighten in place and loosen to fold don't really do anything. It is only stable in the hexagon configuration. It comes in handy, especially while caring for two, and I am glad we have it.

This car seat for our 2 Yorkies is one of the best purchases we've made for them. I feel confident that when used with the special car harnesses, that they would be safely contained if we ever had to come to a sudden stop. The car harness is key because the anchor point is low on the back as opposed to being higher up near their shoulder blades. Here are a couple videos with more information.Plus it's safer for me not having to worry and look back to check on them all the time. They get to sit up and see out the windows or take a nap on the plush pillow top pad. My larger yorkie (12lbs) loves to rest his head off the edge. My little one (4lbs) used to have anxiety when riding in the car-he would start panting like crazy-now, when he's in the car seat, he is calm and usually just lays down to relax :) There is plenty of room for the 2 dogs to sprawl out. We would even have room for maybe a 3rd someday! That is why we purchased the large one, so we would have some room to grow. It does take up one entire seat plus the middle seat, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. We have a small suv, so that wasn't a problem for us at all.

There is also a small drawer under the flap in the front. Enough to keep some treats, food, bags etc. I also purchased the wire feeder that has two compartments with lids or food and water. (I mainly use it for water only, as my dogs will not eat in the car) It is very well made. It's like a mini couch, but just not as heavy. Sometimes, when we are at hotels, we will bring the seat in and they use it as a couch too.

We are very happy with our purchase!! Highly recommend!

I have a dog that has anxiety issues and traveling in the car has always involved vomit and pee. This car seat allows him to see me while sitting next to his brother and see where we are going. He is secure and safe. He still doesn't like getting in the car, but he lays down on the bed and shows no signs of panic. It has been wonderful!

Picked this up for a planned 2 week car trip. It was just what we wanted. Our 16 pound Yorkshire/Westie mix took to it right away. I feel good knowing that he is secure and safe. The seat belt wraps aroound the back of the bed and is secure. The provided leash/cable loops over seatbelt and you can then hook to your dogs harness. We got the large and it gives him a lot of room, plenty of space for him to move about and get comfortable. It also became his bed inside the hotel rooms. When we got home from the trip and had the bed in our apartment he actually jumped into it and took a nap.

Terrible product! Didn't even use it 10 times and the metal was cracking down one side making it sharp and dangerous. It just split on its own; I think the metal its made out of is cheap or too thin. We threw away the bowl and use the ring attachment with a round tuperware container now.

This did not fit snuggly with my dog's crate and the bowl never felt secured. I went to a local feed business and found a good bowl that worked well. I regret that I'm unable to recommend this product.
