He hates the shampoo but then again he hates all shampoo so I wouldn't go by his opinion. In my opinion the shampoo is fabulous and he smells like a giant apple after we give him a bath. After he's dry he goes totally ballistic and starts running around the house trying to dig holes in the hardwood floor and jumping all over the furniture so even if he claims he doesn't like the shampoo I think he actually does. Oh, and it helps with all the shedding he does too.

I have had this pet house for four-and-a-half years and it is still going strong. It is great for relatively small dogs, I'd say up to 15-20 lbs. I put a square dog bed with bolster sides on top to make it comfy, and my two chihuahuas, 7 lbs and 4 lbs, are usually up there together enjoying each other's company. There's plenty of room for both. They can both easily climb the steps and get into the bed.

The house is next to the main front window in my house, and my dogs use the top deck as a lookout perch. It is absolutely their favorite place -if I'm looking for them in the house that's the first place I check. They watch the bikers, dog walkers, cats, etc. go by and bark at them. Great entertainment for them (even if a little loud for me.) Neither one of them likes to stay in the little room underneath (although sometimes the littlest one hides in it when she knows she's been bad), but it is perfect for storing dog toys. Just toss them through the large door and voila, everything is picked up. My dogs know where their toys are and readily go into the little room to get them.

The house was easy to assemble and it is very sturdy. It's also lightweight, so it's easy to move around if necessary. The stairs are worn now (mainly the top two), but that's to be expected after 4+ years of constant use, and the appearance of the steps isn't really objectionable. The wear merely represents how much use the steps get.

I would absolutely recommend this pet house to a friend. It was a tad expensive, but it has proved to be the best purchase I've ever made for my small dogs.

I bought this house 3 years ago. For the first two years of use, it was on my covered porch and exposed to alot of the elements and held up very well. (I stuffed it with clean straw for winter use.) Easy to assemble, though it does take about 30 mintues. It is also easy to keep clean. I would buy another in a flash but don't have the room!

My four cats love this house! For a while only my outside cat used it. It took him a week or two to get used to it, but then it became his favorite outside spot. Now that he is happy living inside, he shares the house with his two brothers and sister. Quite often there is one large cat sleeping on the bottom level, while one or two are on the balcony doing "guard duty" at the window! Every one who sees the house comments on the attractive and fun design, esp. the balcony. This house is worth the price!

I bought this house for our old cat who (because of incontinence) has been moved outside. The wood on this is fairly light and there are plenty of gaps and small openings to let a breezy, cold draft in. I quickly realized that this house needed insulation. I thought of some solutions for a while, then stared down at the packaging. There are large pieces of Styrofoam which make great insulation. I traced a rough template of the four sides and top and bottom, scored it with a knife, then hot-glued it right on the interior. I then made little flaps on the entrance out of a very thin, old outdoor chair cushion. If you're going to insulate the house like I did, make sure you assemble the four sides and drop the bottom in first. My mistake was that I glued the Styrofoam on the four sides, then tried to drop the bottom in, but it wouldn't fit (I got creative and found a solution). In the end my cat loved it! He stayed in all night and didn't want to come out in the morning. Very cozy. The added bonus was that I picked this up at PetSmart on closeout for $49.

I purchased this house for my indoor/outdoor cat for $80 from Petsmart. I've been searching the internet for weeks for an affordable,quality cat house (to no avail). This was very easy to put together, took me about 15 minutes, although I omitted the lattice and steps (which seem useless for cats) and modified the front entrance. I took both sides of the steps and cut them to fit the front, gluing them one on top of the other across the bottom part of the entrance. Since this will be used during the winter, I wanted a smaller opening and something more protective from snow and rain. My 15 lb. cat eases in and out of it without any problem with the smaller opening.

And yes, I did have to caulk it, it would have most definitely leaked, there were gaps between the wood. I caulked the top and sides, sealing every single seam. I also gave it a coating of waterproof stain (additional supplies cost $15). The wood is thin and it's aromatic but not overwhelming. My cat seems to like it, taking to it quickly and it will keep him dry and warm, serving its purpose. Worth the price even on sale? Probably not, but with the modifications I made, I think it will work fine for my cats needs.

Our outdoor cat loves this product. Placed a heated bed in it. The Petsafe Wellness Heated Bed (mini) is a perfect fit. This product is not weatherproof, and should be used on a covered porch. The top is wood slats with very small gaps, and water would leak right thru to the interior. I put the cat's food on top, but not the water, as a spill would go right to his bed inside. Top is only removable if you do not use the screws and attach the top.

Review of Dogit X-Gear Weather Tech Waterproof Dog Bed

In March 2011, I purchased two of these beds (not from Amazon) in XL to try. I've spent a lot of money on dog beds over the years, including making them myself in my quest for a durable waterproof bed that can withstand sun, dirt, mud, water, hair, toenails and abrasive surfaces. The cover on these beds seemed to fit that bill perfectly. Unfortunately, about 10 months after my purchase, during a routine clean-out/checkup of the dog house where I keep one of the beds, I found that the rubber-type teflon coating on the backside of the cover had started peeling off in a 6" x 6" area, allowing water to get in. I duct taped that area, but when I checked on the bed a month or so later, I found that the coating had started to crack/split in several other places near the original defective area, again allowing water in and causing my poor dog to have to sleep on a damp, mildewy bed AGAIN. I will also say that the dog that uses this bed is not incontinent or destructive, so this was not user-caused damage. I have contacted the manufacturer, Hagen, who told me the beds have a 1 year warranty, so per their request, I have submitted pictures of the area and a copy of my invoice. Hopefully they stand behind their product as they claim, and although the rep I talked to said this issue was nothing she had ever heard of before, I have kind of lost faith in these beds. Luckily this happened before the 1 year warranty was up, but even if it had happened at the 2 year mark, given that this particular bed is completely inside a huge doghouse with still plenty of room (no crimping up of material), that only one dog uses and is not destructive, and it never sees sunlight or other things that might cause a breakdown in the material, I feel for the cost of these beds, they should last much, much longer.

As far as the inside of the bed goes, it is like a half filled bean bag chair that shifts around very easily, causing very large, hard areas that are impossible for the dog to lay on. After smoothing the bed out, holding it down, and having them get on it as I released it, I ended up with a dog taco, which none of my dogs liked. I've experimented by removing some of the fill, all of the fill, adding regular stuffing and everything else I can think of to try to make the beds work. The only solution I have found was to remove the entire inner shell and replace it with old bed pillows and/or one of my orthopedic beds that remains flat and offers good support, since one of my elderly dogs who is rather short cannot climb over large compacted areas of this bed to lie down. That makes for a very expensive cover that now appears to fail in about 9-10 months. What a shame, as I had such high hopes for this bed. It seems very durable and possibly would work fine for inside use with a dog that does not have any liquid issues, but there are cheaper beds out there that would serve that purpose.

I bought this bed because I'm washing too much dog bedding every week and wanted something I could just wipe clean with a damp cloth. I also needed a bed with a non-skid bottom to put in the living area where we have new laminate flooring.

I put this in my Doberman's large crate and when I saw her the next morning, all the stuffing was pushed up on one side and she was buried and trapped in the flat half of the bed. She hated the sound of the bean-bag stuffing and could never get her weight shifted to prevent all the stuffing from piling up on one side. I pulled out all of the bean-bag stuffing and filled the canvas cover with old blankets. I thought this bed had a non-slip bottom so it would not slide on my laminate floor, but it does not -it was all over the room, so I just put it in her crate. If it weren't so large, I would have returned it. Additionally, the seam along the bottom would not keep out water if this were used outside....it has places that pucker along the velcro seam. Awful design. I do not believe this is waterproof because when I removed the white liner that contained the bean-bag stuffing, it had 2 stains on it after 1 night (from her drool, I'm guessing). The manufacturer should consider using a foam pad in this canvas cover and putting the non-slip bottom on and call this an indoor bed. I really needed a non-slip, cushy, wipe-clean bed. Major disappointment and waste of money. I've since bought a large plastic tub dog bed with rubber non-skid bottoms and am going to try that with blankets in it....but I'm still left washing too much dog bedding every week. (((sigh))) She has to have a bed in my office, my bedroom, her crate, and the living area.....

I have two outdoor living wirehair pointers. I wanted this bed by the slider since my dogs lay on the pavers to see in the house. The bed is more like a bean bag. One dog can lay on one side and they sink into the beans and the other dog really cant lay on it. Super awkward bed and very uncomfortable for my dogs that only use it because they have too. They are very uncomfortable when laying in the bed but use it anyway. I wouldn't buy another one. Its slick, hard, over filled, just sucks. I will try to remove beans or whatever is in to try and make it more comfortable.

This arrived way early. Which was actually excellent. Opened the package and looked at it. Looked a lot like the other giggler balls that I've had for years til I noticed something. To my dismay the giggler ball here is actually one that makes noises when you shake the ball. It is not battery operated. So when you shake it back and forth the air compresses inside and causes a eh heh eh heh noise or a slight honky sounding noise. Doesn't resemble anywhere near a giggle. Though I'm extremely disappointed. it's more so in the lack of description. But the important thing is my Chloe (great Dane boxer mix dog) Approves of it completely. So that was the important thing was it made her happy *smiles* But I shall still continue on my quest to find the electronic giggle ball that is housed in the same rubber material as this ball is. So this ball is great for people who only need it to make noise when you shake it *laughs* I am deaf. I want the one that makes noise when it slightly moves. (I wear hearing aids which is why I can hear the ball)

So I give it a 5 stars for craftsmanship and making my Chloe happy. 3 stars for lack of through description. Other wise it's good.

I purchased the regular size giggle ball for my 11# Bichon Frise Bailey for a Christmas present this year. Ours was yellow. I usually check to see if all products I ordered are in working condition before I wrap them just in case.

I opened up this present and shook it and little Bailey came RUNNNING as soon as the ball started giggling. She tried to sit patiently for me to give it to her, but as I shook it she went crazy and started whining to get it. She has never whined for a toy before, so I decided to let her try it for a bit before taking it away to wrap it. She LOVES this toy. She rolled it, dropped it, and went CRAZY when it giggled. We both dropped it many times and thus far no giggling has stopped. I think the giggle is the same way the squeaker is in toys in the sense that it takes no batteries, and if it is broken it will stop giggling just like a squeaker will. So I imagine if your dog has a tendency to break squeakers immediately, then the same will happen with this toy, but if you tend to have squeakers last a while, then this toy will probably last a while too.

I personally chose the medium as she can be an aggressive chewer with her toys. Good news is she cannot fully fit this toy in her mouth. She did however manage to start chewing on the foot prints and bone designs that stick out on this toy, but in the few minutes I let her before I took it away to wrap it, there were no signs of damage :). This toy seems to be of a very durable rubber similar to the rubber used in Kong's, but not quite as durable. I will update after we have had it for a while as to how well its holding up with chewing and how well the giggle is lasting.

This is the 3rd time I have bought this item, also the last time I buy this item. The first order this was for my older Staffordshire who has lost his sight. It quickly became his most treasured toy. I took him on a trip covering 1200 miles down to Americas wang and gave this to him while he rode restlessly in the back seat of my Avalanche. It was almost as if he had grown this thing right from his mouth because he never let it go-even slept with it. We made frequent stops and this ball proved its worth with each short toss as my buddy would throw caution to the wind, chasing after his new toy with reckless abandon. He was happy, I was happy-even knowing then that the time would come when he found the weakness and tore this things to shreds. To my surprise this did not happen for about a month...though the "giggle" part was long trashed the ball was in great shape considering. (He has torn a black Kong toy apart in less than 15 minutes before)

I ordered this ball again and again it proved it value to me lasting nearly 2 months until the inevitable death star like destruction.

This time 2 balls were destroyed between delivery and dinner time. They are not as strong. That is either due to thickness, material itself, or a combination of the 2. They are certainly smaller in diameter if only by a small amount and they are also not as thick (outer to inner shell) as they once were. Disappointment for me and my blind buddy....It was simply to good to continue to be true.

The frog still lives although it's now blind but all in all it is not yet distroyed. Good Product, I agree with previous review buy the right size for the dog that you have.

I ordered this product and the Yellow ones they sell for my mini dachshunds. These are VERY, VERY tiny. NOT AS DESCRIBED. More suited for a very small young puppy. I have contacted the seller by email THREE times with no response. Do yourself a favor order from someone else. These folks don't gave a damn. A sale seems to be a sale and they do not care about the customer being happy. No customer service.
