This is the second scooper of this kind I have purchased through Amazon. I was very happy with the first one, but unfortunately it didn't survive the Winter. (Shouldn't have kept it outside, but who wants a poop coated tool indoors? :) )

When I went to purchase another, the original was no longer available, so I chose this one. (It looked fine in the picture). It's not nearly as strong or sturdy as the first. The springs are weak, which makes the job so much harder. If I had read the fine print, and knew it was coming from Target, I wouldn't have chosen this one.

Now I see it's on sale for $9.99 maybe it's worth that, but not the $17.99 I paid a couple of months ago

Come on, guys. It's black with purple trim, and it has "POOP PATROL" in big letters on it. There's even a cartoon dog wearing a police hat. How can you not love this thing?

I'm now the envy of all my neighbors. They look at me, swiftly harvesting poo in my gym shorts, and they're all "Damn, he's smooth. It must be the POOP PATROL." Even my dogs are in awe, staring at it like it's some ancient relic from their canine ancestors.

Don't be one of those losers with a shovel. Get the POOP PATROL.

This is a well made piece of equipment, it's even pretty,(purple color). Best if all it does the job. It even picks up deer droppings, a real problem in our area. Dog droppings, wet or dry, large or small are a cinch!

I bought this for my two big dogs, an English Mastiff mix and a purebred Great Dane. As they are giant breeds, they eat a ton, and tend to "return" just as much to my backyard. I don't really like the old metal rake types since they need two hands, so I picked this up. I was wary of it's size, but it does pretty well, even with the presents my dane leaves me.

The one handed operation is a key feature, I can have this in one hand and a bag in the other and usually get the yard done in short order. The jaws are flexible and strong enough to fish stray pieces out of snow or deep grass without picking up everything around them. My only complaint is that the jaws can get a bit dirty and don't clean too easily. Also, the spring will likely crap out (excuse my pun) in relatively little time, but that's fairly easy to replace. I'd recommend this to any dog owner who likes a one handed clean up.

I have had dogs my whole life and thought i would try something new this time by purchasing this scoop. i have always used the two piece metal "dust pan" type of scoop before but thought with the great reviews i read i would give this one a try. Although i call myself lazy in the title, i think that there are a lot of people out there like myself. I scoop poops once a day...thats it... no more... no less. If you are like me DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOP unless you also carry around your poop bucket. the jaws only allow you to pick up one... maybe two poops at a time. I have a big yard so i have to make trips back and forth to the garbage. the dust pan type scoop works much better if you are like me. If you only like to pick up one poop at a time this scoop is AWESOME. Hope this helps someone make there choice.

My dog, a Scottish Terrier, completely chewed the entire leg (not just the round bit, the entire leg) off this toy in a matter of an hour. It became lodged in his intestine and almost cost him his life it was removed through emergency surgery. Normally, I would say to please, please give this toy to your dog under supervision ONLY, but not this one. It was demolished so fast that I had NO time to notice until it was too late. If your dog is an aggressive chewer, with strong jaws, please consider another toy.

Bought this toy for our newly adopted cockapoo mix. I think it's the medium size, though I'm not certain. Gave it to her after a bath. Admittedly she was in a fit of the crazies. However, I do expect a toy billed as "rough and tough" to last more than fifteen minutes. I actually had to sneak it out of the house while she was eating her dinner as she *loved* it literally to death. Or at any rate to the point where I feared she might ingest part of it. The squeaker (hard plastic) was cracked, one of the little feet was partly separated from the body and there were splits in the rubber from her shaking it and squeaking it. Bottom line, great for a gentle chewer but not for a dog who has a good set of choppers and knows how to use them.

WOW! We bought this toy at a local chain three months ago because we thought it was cute. Well, as it turns out, my 7 mo. lab is a vigorous chewer and since the purchase of this toy (which is her favorite)she has destroyed her KONG toy, one nylabone and a whole slew of other toys designed to be tough for big dogs. She adores this toy and it has outlasted them all! Although the squeaking is a bit irritating, it has proved its worth in durability and entertainment. I highly recommend (and so does Molly!)

I bought one of these toys locally yesterday, and I have rarely seen a dog so captivated by a toy as my Jack Russell Terrier is with his new chicken!!! Unlike a lot of JRTs, he tends to lose interest in his toys after a few throws or chewing on them for a few minutes, but he will sit and squeek this thing for an hour at a time. And if I forget to pick it up when he is done playing with it (playing with toys is a reward in our house just to make sure Taz knows who's alpha around here), he'll grab it when I answer the phone just to make a nuisance of himself and get attention. He absolutely loves that he can control the sound and volume of the squeek, and he'll vary between an all-out squeal and a little "ruh-ruh-ruh" laugh out of it. This is possible because the whole body is the squeeker, unlike other toys where the bladder of the squeeker is inserted into the toy.

This little guy seems really durable, but I'm definately going to have to get a replacement while I still can, just in case Taz does manage to destroy it (anyone who has been around a JRT with a toy knows what I mean).

The chickens at the store where I bought ours had two different types of squeaks one is the same type as you'd think of with a squeaky toy, only louder, and the other is kind of like a duck. I don't know what type of squeak the ones for sale here have. I bought the latter, and the smaller turtle with the same sound. Taz doesn't like the turtle as well, because even though it's easier for him to carry around, there is less air in the body and it takes more effort and finesse to get it to make the sound, and he sees it more as a throw toy than a squeaky.

If I could give this ball a higher review than 5 stars, I would. My pit bull, Watson, literally eats through any and all other toys within 5 minutes of bringing them home. We've spent hundreds of dollars trusting the "guaranteed indestructible" toys just to be disappointed.

The only toys that keep him occupied for any amount of time are bones and this ball. We've started putting treats inside of it to keep him occupied. He has been unable to rip or poke any holes through it, much to his disappointment. It appears to be stronger than his bones, because he eventually eats those. The only thing that shows signs of wear is that it is no longer quite as shiny as when we first got it and the word "luna." has long been rubbed off the side. (We've had it for about 6 months.)

This has been the best purchase for our wonder-chewer!

I had to change dog toys on my dog because his teeth were wearing down w/tennis balls & that 'virtually indestructible dog ball' from dr. Foster & Smith. These balls, if you don't lose them, are a good alternative.

I ordered this hoodie for my ~13 lb. Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Her measurements are 10" neck, 17" chest, 15.5" length. This sweatshirt is pretty long on her, but it covers her and keeps her warm. However, if she were a boy, you'd for sure have to cut/sew or fabric glue the underside, otherwise it would get peed on. She has a broad chest, and this shirt fits her very nice. It's very soft, and it has washed well.

Although these seem to be made well, they are not indestructible or for 'aggressive and persistent chewers' as the label suggests. I'm so thrilled with this product I bought a second one. My 90 pound pit bull cannot chew or push his way out and now loves his new home. AND IT WAS VERY EASY to put together. I love this cage. And it looks nice too. My pit is an escape artist to I took wooden planks and put it over the top. Most of you wouldn't have to do that, but my dog can get out of anything.. except this cage. We use one in our guest room for the dog to stay in during the day and one on the patio (the larger 8x8 foot one) for Woofie to lounge in during the day. They both look and work wonderfully.

This kennel went together easily, is made of very good quality materials, and works great for my 75 lb. chocolate Lab. This is a very good buy, especially with the included roof. I made a floor out of paving stones in my backyard, and the whole setup looks like it was professionally done.

Excellent unit offered by Amazon. This is second Lucky Dog Kennel we've purchased. The 1st (4'x4'x6'), and 2nd (4'x8'x6').

Our kitty population grew and neighbor threatened to kill our 7 outside babies...so we joined both kennels together to make one 10' long sancutary. The top was covered w/coated wire mesh and secured w/zip ties. We couldn't find extra panels from maker, so we used remaining 2nd door and 3 panels to build an uncovered 2'x2' staging area. This serves as additional escape block, holding containers of feed and cleaning items. I've joined the two tops to waterproof the covered 10' roof area; and roll-up clear shower curtains attached w/bungy cords to long side completes ensemble for occasional rain showers.

Thank you Jewett Cameron for the well-made product. Now Dogs and CATS can enjoy your workmanship!

I bought this 5 years ago and made it into a cattery for my 5 cats. I raised it off the ground with cinder blocks, used wood boards and a rug for the floor, installed 3 shelves, attached it to the side of my house and put a cat door in the window. Because of the design of the kennel, all this was easy to put together (I'm no handyman, zip ties were my only tool). My cats LOVE it and spend all summer lounging and watching birds. It has held up very well and (after 5 years of rain, snow and sun) I am about to replace the tarp cover.

I initially bought one of these because I didn't want to shell out the $$ for a Chuck-It, which is way overpriced for what it is. I loved it. I allowed me to throw the ball so much further, and my dog was thrilled. I forgot where I bought it and tried to find more as back-up and for my parents new puppy. I finally found this one listed on Amazon and bought several.

Soon after, found a Chuck-It at a flea market for the same price and bought it for comparison. It took me some time to master the Chuck-It technique (the arm motion for each of them is a bit different). It didn't take long, however; and now I can throw with either item equally far. I'm amazed at how far the ball goes with either one.

The one advantage to the Chuck-It is not having to pick up the ball from the ground each time. The Chuck-It head conforms around the ball, so I only have to bend a little bit. This is nice, since I have a bad back. The Zanie doesn't do that, so you either have to bend down and pick up the ball or scoop it up with the end, which is not as long as the Chuck-It. However, as a previous reviewer pointed out, if your dog is so inclined, he/she can put the ball into the Zanie, something he/she can't do with the Chuck-It. My dog hasn't mastered that trick, however. He prefers to drop the tennis ball on the ground, so the Chuck-It works better for me.

Ultimately, there is no difference in how far you can throw a ball with either of them, once you master the technique (a dozen throws or so at most). The Zanie is cheaper and better for dogs who like to "reload". The Chuck-It is better for people who have difficulty bending over and whose dogs tend to drop the ball on the ground.

This toy is amazing. I throw like a girly girl and hate that my hands get slobbery. My 12 yr old terrier/border collie mix is an avid fetcher and likes to place the ball in the scoop, something she can't do with a "Chuck-it". We've been using these for years; this is our third one and bought a couple extra since they keep getting harder to find.

My 11 month Golden Retriever has very quickly figured out how to dismantle this ball (it appears to basically be strips of notched fleece that is bundled in the middle with a piece of twine). I had purchased it for my 12 year old golden figuring it would be soft enough for her to play with (she's old; teeth hurt; etc...). I think if she was our only dog in the house it would have been okay; however, since we have an aggressive "play time" & chewer dog in the house, it was not a good investment.

These are some of my favorite dog toys. My dog absolutely loves them, and they last a long, long time. Eventually, she will find a way to get a tooth on the string inside that holds the nylon together -after which you have a simple, soft pile of nylon scraps. But before that happens, which usually takes several days, you have a simple, soft dog toy that even the most toothless of pups can catch and play with with ease.

The collar had an awful smell but it wore off after awhile. They packaged the collar folded to make it flat so there is a pretty noticeable crease on the collar. It also came with weird staining on the coating of the collar. Not too happy with the look of the collar but I guess it's still functional.

The collar came in a package and it was bent in half and there was no fixing the crease in it. It smelled pretty badly, and it was also WAY too large for my dog's neck. In general it was just a crappy quality collar compared to the waterproof Hamilton one..
