I bought one of these on Tuesday, it arrived on Wednesday. It worked so well I just ordered six refills and a second unit.

I don't have a very serious flea problem, but it was bad enough that I was willing to try a new product. We have very thick carpet in most of our house, and while spraying and vacuuming gets rid of most of them, enough survive to restart the problem a few months later. I chose this one because another reviewer had put a photo of the sticky-pad covered with fleas. I considered it unlikely that someone had just caught a bunch of fleas and then thrown them onto the trap just to make the product look good. Also, it wasn't terribly expensive so, I gave it a shot...

It is fascinating and disturbing how this thing works. Fleas from all corners of the room (within 30 feet or so) move close to it and just gather around it like it's some kind of shrine to their glorious Flea-God. Eventually, they hop into the glow, thinking they are going to Fleahalla or wherever flea-warriors go when they die...and that's when they land on the sticky pad. They struggle for a few seconds, but every move buries them deeper in the muck and soon they stop, frozen in pain and panic as the dark curtain of death slowly descends. So, in a way, I guess they were right: jumping into the light WILL take you to Fleahalla, but instead of flea-valkaries you get agonizing death on a big sticky-disc.

This product works best in a dark room, where the light is the only source of light and heat available--also, it works better if you and your pets aren't in the room, either. We let it go overnight and in the morning it was choked with fleas. I was going to take a picture of it, but it's just so tragic and disgusting that I don't think I will. Also, the longer you leave it on, the better it works: the fleas do things on their own schedule, so they don't just hop into it all willy-nilly. They wait a while, admire the light, say a prayer to the Flea-God then jump on in. And that's when the dying starts...at least they won't die lonely.

This won't kill all the flea, obviously. Some are smarter than the others, I suppose. Flea geniuses and such. But the product doesn't claim to kill all the fleas, just a lot of them. And dead fleas don't lay eggs, so for every dead flea that's like a million eggs that won't be lain or something...I don't know that much about the flea life cycle. Use this product with an effective flea and egg killer spray, like Mycodex Plus Environmental Control Aerosol Household Spray and it shouldn't be long before your flea troubles are under control.

I must admit I was very skeptical about this, but decided to give it a try out of sheer desperation, and based on the favorable reviews on Amazon. I've got a flea issue with my bedroom carpet, and have tried sprays, continuous vacuuming, boric acid treatments, and dosing my pet with Frontline & Advantage products. While the Advantage works pretty darn well ON the pet, the carpet was still infested no matter what I tried. I plugged in this little contraption on the floor next to my bed, and within TWO HOURS I've already captured 18 fleas, and can actually SEE them hopping across the carpet to get to the trap! I think this is a brilliant, safe, pesticide-free solution to dealing with those pesky little ankle-biting devils that hide in the carpet! I'll continue to vacuum, but I intend to keep this thing plugged in at all times to grab the ones that get away or are newly hatched. Don't hesitate to buy this product!

An earlier review of this product almost made me pass on the purchase, but I'm glad I didn't. I bought 2 and within the first ten hours 40-50 fleas were caught. Moving the traps periodically to new locations appears to be helpful. I plan to get additional traps for other problem areas.

This is a review of the Victor M230 Ultimate Flea Trap. This review shows the results of four traps. Please note that I have never been compelled to write a review for any product I've purchased through Amazon, until now.

In my opinion, the number of fleas caught varies based on placement. Some reviewers mentioned moving their traps to various places with no success. Though I'm not sure why they didn't experience success, you'll see in this video that the product actually does work.

My patio and living room were the most infested. The trap reviews in those areas show the most trapped fleas. The traps used in my home office and the linoleum-floored bathroom (where the cat box and food dish reside) show little-to-no trapped fleas.

I typically keep my home office door closed, which is why there are fewer fleas, thus lower results. I believe the fleas are more pleased with carpet than linoleum, thus the sole-flea result for that trap.

While other reviewers may have experienced low-to-no results, placement *may* be a possible factor. (Operative phrase "may be possible.")

Otherwise, I experienced the same kind of results with the paper plate, water, and dish soap method on the porch. This method was not as effective as the Victor traps within the apartment. The water and soap method didn't attract *any* fleas in my home office or living room, even over a period of 2-3 days. Victor traps produced results overnight.

I have had good luck just taking a shallow pan about the size of an oil pan, or 4qt cook pan, put a little dawn soap in it, add about 2 inches of water, and then suspend a light over it so it shines into the pan. Catches bunches of fleas for practically nothing. I just refill the water once in awhile when it evaporates. Leave the light on day and night, they especially flock to it at night when it's the only light on. It really works!

I bought these to dispose of my cat waste after scooping the litter box. They work really well. The opening is large enough to accommodate the scoop, and after I tie them up, I just toss them in the trash and the smell is contained. I don't use a dispenser. They are very easy to tear off the roll and open up. I will definitely buy them again when I run out.

I don't know how or why these are getting some poor reviews. I have tried almost every brand (cheapie and not) in the dog doo bag department and these are the best by far. They're slightly larger than normal bags (which makes them soooo much easier to tie if your dog drops a mother load) and if you have to carry them for a bit while on a walk, they don't reek. That is reason alone to get these.

I've had bags where the bottom literally splits apart as you put your hand through (not a pleasant surprise, if you've ever had this experience) or had the seams split apart as the bag unrolls from the spool (leaving you with a poop "sheet" instead of a bag). This has happened with nearly every other brand I've tried. I've been using these for a year or more and NEVER had a single situation of this.

As for not fitting standard dispensers, also didn't have this problem with mine but I prefer to carry them without one anyway. Given a choice to run the risk of sticking my hand in poop (literally, lol) or not having a dispenserthe choice is obvious to me.

My house doesn't smell anymore! We used to use the plain cheap bags, and even though we tossed them into a lidded garbage can out on the back porch, when you opened the back door the smell would come in the house. After thoroughly cleaning the trash can and switching to these bags, the smell is thankfully gone. The only problem is that the spool doesn't fit my favorite dispenser. Anyway, I didn't buy them for the dispenser, I bought them for the odor control, and they work wonders in that area.

The reviewers who claim these bags are defective are wrong. They are designed differently than normal bags. You unfold them, and there's a bottom seam that remains attached while the top unfolds further. You then have to peel the plastic apart to open the bag. It makes them nice and wide. People are mistaking the attached bottom seam for the bottom of the bag, and are thinking that the side wasn't sealed properly. That is not the case. They just have a different design than the typical bag, and people are tossing them before noticing that the bag is not opened yet. The only downside to the design is that there are fewer bags on a roll.

It's hard to see where you should rip them apart. The perforation is so bad that it does not tear cleanly and the bag sometimes rips. It leaves a disgusting perfume smell on your hands; I want to wash my hands as soon as I touch one.

The only pro is that they are large.

I would not recommend these.

The first few bags on the roll were ok, though hard to tear off and a little small for tying after collection. However, as it turns out, the majority of the bags on the roll are unusable. The seam at the bottom is split open! Some kind of manufacturing flaw. Will be returning the product.

This tool works great for brushing my 6 cats and removing more fur and dander than some of my other grooming brushes; however, my problem with this shedding tool (and the reason for a 3 rating) is that it's open design in the middle causes the fur it has removed to fly all over the place. Some of the fur does get caught up in the "shedding blade" (the teeth of the brush), but more seems to fly around than gets caught. You have to brush very slowly and be very careful to try and catch the fur that it is pulling off. If they could somehow perfect this type of brush where it would catch the fur as it is removing it (maybe by somehow removing the hole in the middle), this might work better and receive a 5 rating.

I purchased this item today at PetSmart. The JW Smartgrip Cat Shedding tool is awesome. It's not actually a blade (as I tried it out on my husband to see what it would do to his hair after I saw what it did to my cat). It works by gently pulling the hair, removing all loose hair, and hair that's already fallen out but is still in the coat. I own a Himalayan and their coats can be rather thick, and she HATES the standard barbed brushes, this item she loves, and the hair it gets out is incredible.

I even tried it on my Boston Terrier, as I haven't found a decent brush for his shedding coat either, and it works! Even though he's a little less thrilled with it, he still sits there for me.

For the money, this is an incredible find!

I bought this brush/blade about a month ago in an effort to try to get rid of more cat dander from my two, medium haired cats. I was a little iffy about the way it looked design-wise, but it works well. It seems to be able to get more of the undercoat and dander free than our normal, $5, wire brush and my cats really like it. One of them just loves attention so she doesn't dislike any brush I've tried, but even my picky cat (whom I usually have to hold down to brush) will hold still and knead the couch/my leg as I brush her with it.

You do have to be more aware of the hair you're freeing since the shedding blade doesn't catch them, but I just pet the cats after every few brushes and collect it in a hairball til I'm done.

My least favorite thing about it is that it is kind of sharp (of course, it is called a shedding "blade") and you have to be careful not to brush too hard or you'll hurt your cat. It isn't a big issue for the average cat owner, but my 3 year old is not allowed to brush the cats with it and I have to keep it hidden from him.

For the cost alone, this was a no-brainer. Buying this bundle was cheaper than buying a bag dispenser and the bells separately. It didn't take long to train our puppy with the bell, as she's quickly learned to nudge it with her nose to signal when she needs to go. And the bag cady/dispenser is easy to clip onto the handle of a retractable lease. It zips, which also makes it super convenient for storing some snacks on a walk. All in all, this was a fantastic purchase.

The bells are loud enough to be heard in our very active household. There are 3 bells attached to the strap with an elastic band to hang on to a door or stair banister. The bag holder is standard but a nice bonus that it comes with it.

The sizing was WAY off. I measured my dog as suggested and requested the proper size even though I though it would be too big. Turns out it was too small, WAY too small. My dog is 20" from shoulder to base of tail and is very lean. The jacket we received, a large, is at least 4" too short and doesn't even come close to fitting around his chest (we cannot get his legs in at all). It's a shame to be inconvenienced like this. I hate having to go to the post office to ship something off because of a seller/manufacturer error.

This jacket is not at all stretchy but it has front facing sleeves and a front closure. Be careful putting this on your dog as you never want to pull a dog's front legs out to the side. Also there is a very stiff velcro closure that runs the length of the front. This may be uncomfortable for dogs and may prevent them from curling into a ball to rest. It would be much better if the closure was on the back as this would eliminate both problems. Also if the closure was made in such a way that you could adjust the girth, that would help ensure a proper fit and prevent male dogs from getting urine on the jacket.

I have a blue Doberman with alopecia that has very thin hair. In the winter I needed something nice and warm for her to wear so the poor thing didn't have to go out and freeze being somewhat bald. This coat is great. The lining is nice and cozy and she has no problems running or carrying on as she likes to. Just make sure you actually measure your dog to order the correct size. I had to order larger than what was suggested for the breed because my dog is broad chested.

We bought this heater for a dogloo that we are housing two stray cats in. We could not take in these strays, as we have four strays living with us already. It is hard to sleep at night knowing that they were outside freezing. This heater is working so well that we recommended it to a friend who bought the next size up, which is the large. She lives in Cape May and has a small colony(12) of cats, which she houses in the x-tra large dogloo. I was a little disappointed that it is hard plastic and you really can't cover it with anything, but the cats don't seem to mind at all. They are very happy to be warm and on really cold nights they are right on top of the heater and if it is a more mild night, they can move off the heater. the heater doesn't get too warm but it is enough to make them comfortable. It really was money well spent and we get a good nights sleep knowing they are not freezing. We are in the midst of a blizzard tonight and they are curled up and cozy in the back of the dogloo on their heater. If you have animals that you can't take in for whatever reason, please treat them to this bit of comfort, they deserve to be warm too.

This "heated pad" is not actually a pad at all. It is made entirely of hard plastic with no padding whatsoever. I see that it is "contructed of rugged ABS plastic" but mistakenly thought "pad" meant it would have at least some sort of softness to it. This plastic contruction makes it slide around in the dogloo, which is easily solved with a piece of scrap carpet placed underneath. However it doesnt solve the problem of no padding at all. It emits a pleasing heat when laid on, but my dog would rather lay on a soft cold dog bed than a heated piece of hard plastic, even with a thin covering on it. There is not enough heat to transfer through a comfortable pad placed on top of it. I am returning this and getting the "soft outdoor bed" of the same brand instead.

I bought this costume for my brother's bassett hound. The web page info said the size needed for a basset was a medium. He got it, and you guessed it, WAAAAAAY too small. The sizing information on the package didn't match the info given online at all. Since I got the thing on points, and the dog could care less either way, it's no tragedy. Just annoying to buy something using the info given and have it be totally wrong.

Also, the construction of the costume wasn't very well thought out. Even on a smaller dog it looked like 2 pillows on the sides and a "meat strip" across the dog's back, held together with elastic straps.

Too Bad there is not a 0 stars option. What I thought I was getting was a dog crate with the dimensions of 24"Hx30"Wx21.5"D and what came in the mail was a crate with the dimensions of 24"Lx18"Wx20"H. Not only do the dimensions not match up but they are expressed in a completely different way. I have been dealing with them about the issue and they have only been rude back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Not saying your experience will be like this but just be aware and proceed with caution.

The doors are smaller than all the other crates I have had. There are six inches of wasted crate above each door, which means they could have used some of this on the doors. Metal is actually cheaper than the other crates I have, so for the money I would have expected a little more.
