I absolutely love this gate. It's got a beautiful dark finish that fits in perfectly with the rest of our decor, the gate swings open and closes very smoothly, and while it's not the easiest gate to open one-handed, it's easy enough for an adult and nearly impossible for our son.
We're using this gate to span the extra wide hallway leading from our front door/formal dining room to the living room since we don't want our son (9 months old) getting into anything where we can't keep a eye on him while working in the kitchen. To get it to fit, I had to install it in a half-hexagon shape and I actually like the way it looks that way. It seems to be easier to walk in and out of without having the gate being straight across, though this gate's opening is nice and wide compared to most other baby gates.
An added plus to this gate system is that it's extremely easy to disconnect from the mounting brackets and collapse against one of the walls, either full-extended or folded in on itself. It's very convenient for when we have people over and don't need to bother with the gate, or when we're moving larger stuff around and need it out of the way. I couldn't imagine having a gate without that feature after having this one.
The only reason I'm knocking this gate a star is the mounting hardware. It doesn't include drywall anchors, so unless you provide them yourself you'll have to find studs to screw into or your baby is probably going to rip the gate off the walls by the time he/she is 2 years old. I always keep a wide variety of drywall anchors on hand because they're cheap and greatly increase the mounting options I have for things like this. I used 75lb drywall anchors for each upper mounting bracket, and that leads to my 2nd issue with this gate...
If you have baseboards in the area you're wanting to install this gate, you won't be able to use the lower mounting brackets without damaging the baseboards, which I refused to do. That's why I really went for the overkill on the upper brackets. The lower mounts are positioned at the very bottom of the gate itself, and not midway up the end poles like on some other gates. So unless you want to install the gate floating in the air at least the height of your baseboards, or you don't mind ruining your baseboards and needing to replace them later, you won't be able to use the lower brackets.
Having said that, with the drywall anchors we really don't miss having the lower brackets. I can shake the gate myself and it won't budge, let alone when my son tries. The gate is built extremely well and is very sturdy, even without those bottom brackets (though with my added drywall anchors). It's easy to take down and put back up thanks to the quick-connect/disconnect clips on the end panels. All in all, I'd recommend this gate 100% to anyone and would buy one for every large area I needed to fence off in my house if I actually had any more areas.
I also didn't like that the gate portion only opens towards one direction I'm familiar with the Summer Infant Sure and Secure 6 Foot Metal Expansion Gate because my parents have one for their dogs and I was expecting a similarly solid gate that could be opened either direction and this one was very disappointing. I ended up ordering that Summer Infant to replace this one (having only opted for this one becuase it was $9 less and wasn't a weird beige color), and I know it will work much better for how we plan to use it.
I think this gate could have worked better for us with a slightly smaller doorway not sure how much smaller, but the design itself seems like it may be more stable when it's not fully extended. If you need to span something close to the 71.3" limit of this gate you would be better off with a gate that has solidly secured extensions.

I thought since our doorway was 70" that this would work out fine for us, but it just didn't.... the "joints" where the expansions pivot make it inherently unstable in a wider opening, even with the adjustments locked down, there was enough play in the gate that it did not feel like it was very stable at all... it wobbled a lot when we went to open it, and because of that wobble it didn't always close when the door was released either.I also didn't like that the gate portion only opens towards one direction I'm familiar with the Summer Infant Sure and Secure 6 Foot Metal Expansion Gate because my parents have one for their dogs and I was expecting a similarly solid gate that could be opened either direction and this one was very disappointing. I've bought four gates in the past six months, and this one has been the absolute best. The color is a rich bronze, and really matches my decor and flooring moreso than other brown gates. The joints are put together VERY well (the last two gates had extremely flimsy joints). It was very easy to install, taking less than 30 minutes. My favorite feature is that you can open just the gate door, or lift up one end and move the entire gate forwards / backwards. It works exceptional in keeping my Great Dane in his room at night, or while I'm cleaning the house. I highly recommend this gate.Honest reviews on Supergate Deluxe Décor Metal Gate, Espresso
Gate works great, good looking (for a gate) only issue is it doesn't mention that if you have molding, you may have to alter your installation!!! I made some "shims" to account for the molding so my upper and lower brackets would line up once I did this, it's been perfect!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Supergate Deluxe Décor Metal Gate, Espresso
This is an absolutely lovely gate. However, it is advertised as fitting openings up to 72". My space is exactly 72". When we received the gate, the box says 72". When you open the box and look at the instructions, it says 71.3". That is not 72". We tried to install it anyway, hoping that the instructions might be misprinted, but nope ... it is just a smidge TOO SHORT. I am not happy b/c this will be a pain to ship back. I contacted the manufacturer to see if they have a solution, and if I am happy with the result I will amend my review. We still need a gate, so we are considering getting a piece of wood to make our opening smaller, but this would be a major project (for us) and adds something unattractive. I didn't spend money on a really nice gate to have it look crappy b/c I had to add something to my WALL.Friday, September 19, 2014

Very nice product with just one flaw. After a while the background discolors. The logo is still very clear and legible, but the nice white background turns an orangy color. My son is an avid & rabid Yankees fan. I got this for his pit bull, "Nacho" As far as I know the dog loved it, I think he had to take it by force from my son so he could wear it. ; )

Discount Champion Dogs 36" 2 Door Folding Metal Wire Dog Cage Crate Kennel
It's not as big as I thought it was, but it's big enough for my dogs. They have really short legs :) It's very light weight, I like the plastic tray bottom as opposed to the heavy metal one in my last crate. The latches are a little crooked and a little difficult to open and close.....the door is a little out of line, so the handles don't match up exactly, but it does the job.this flattens easily for storage and sets up easily for use. the doors work well, the pink is very pretty.

I purchased the Lucky Dog 5 x 15 foot weatherguard Kennel Roof System less than a year ago from Atwoods and the tarp is disintegrating. It is shedding small silver flakes all over the place and has developed a large tear. This cover is in an open area that is not exposed to falling limbs or excessive pine straw, just a lot of hot Arkansas sun. I am very disappointed in this tarp because I have car covers, boat covers, motorcycle covers, propane grill covers, etc. that are several years old and they are holding up fine. This tarp didn't even last a year. I like the kennel, it wasn't to difficult to put together and it gives you the option of 5 x 15 feet or 10 x 10 feet. But I do not recommend this cover. You can purchase a much cheaper tarp that will hold up for several years.
I quickly discovered my mistake within minutes, and cancelled the order before an hour went by. They immediately acknowledged my cancellation by email, but sent it, and charged me anyways! F ing A**holes !

This kennel cover is durable. I have had it on my dog's kennel for over a year now and it keeps my dog shaded and somewhat covered from the rain. It has held up well and will last a while longer. We have had some heavy snow and some wicked storms over the last year (Hurricane Sandy 60mph winds in Ohio).Honest reviews on Lucky Dog 5-by-15-Foot CL51597 Large Weatherguard Kennel Roof System

Doggy Den Dog House Review
I bought two of these recently to house some outdoor cats who took to it immediately specially having the two ways to exit the dog house so that they never feel trapped by any racoons or predators.
I put them together in under 7 minutes each. Amazing clear and easy to do.Feels sturdy too.
The roof is like some sort of chunky spray on tar bits which are weather proof. I would recommend you caulk the joints and the areas around the screw heads to avoid leaks. I'll update after we get through a winter.
I would say I like this dog house better than a plastic kennel as long as you feel comfortable making your own upgrades.
This thing is not practical for an outdoor cat or dog.
PROS
1. Cute
2. Legs lift it up off the ground a bit for insulation and keeps the wooden bottom from rotting quickly
CONS
1. Rain soaks the inside. Those windows slats are cute but let in driving rain in both windows. If you don't have a covered porch or deck or garage forget this thing. The roof overhang is a joke. Wind drives in rain no matter which way I positioned the house. Forget it anyway since it is NOT insulated.
2. Not insulated. I purchased this in the summer not thinking about the winter. STUPID!! It is thin wood and those windows allow COLD wind to blow though on two sides.
3. It is getting cold now and I purchased a pet heater pad. At least these drafty open windows could be used to run the cord through....but even if my cat still used the house (he won't after getting rain wet)....a heating pad when it gets really cold is ...worthless.... because the wind whistling though the windows and the very thin wood walls and floor let in too much cold.
4. Hello!! Pets cannot open the door. You have to somehow tie the door wide open or it closes on its own and the pet cannot enter. I put a string through the door windows into the house and out through the open side slat windows and tied a knot outside. This keeps the door open all the time.
I wish I had not purchased it. I'm thinking of using it for a chicken coop for 2 small hens but I have to solve the rain getting inside issue.
Now I am deciding between 2 PRACTICAL options:
americas pet store dot com has a video of a DP Hunter Dog House which Amazon sells also but Amazon does not have a video showing how the house works. THIS is a true OUTDOOR cat/dog house. It has Self-storing window panels easily reposition from winters closed position to summers cross ventilation position without tools. Dog/cat can see out while he rests in comfort.
Floor is raised four inches to provide a dry and warm bedding area
Floor is sloped and has a drain hold to make cleaning easy, just hose down and the water runs out. And my cat likes to cuddle with my medium sized dog....and this door allows both animals to enter.
Americas Pet Store dot Come also sells a Single deck insulated cat and Dog house (VERY NICE) or Double Decker Insulated Cedar Cat House that is an like a tree house with a platform. Their cat and dog house are INSULATE. It is great. The house or houses are INSULATED with door flaps, etc. Fantastic. Cats can sleep way elevated off ground or sleep on the platform deck over the actual insulated house. If I move, I can take it apart and it can lay flat taking up less room...unlike the plastic dog house. My dog is not shy about jumping on things and could easily jump to the platform and join his kitty buddy. I am leaning heavily towards this...but also like the DP Hunter Dog House.
I thought about the "The Kitty Tube Outdoor Insulated Cat House" because it is "cuter" but it is NOT raised off the ground and the windows are the handles from its description and the door opening cannot be widened to accommodate a larger pet and it would take up a lot of room if I had to move.

We purchased the medium size dog house for our 30 lb dog as a dog kennel/indoor dog house. It arrived ok, the bolts, screws, washers etc... were scattered throughout the box. Apparently all the bags broke but all the pieces were accounted for and I was able to put it together without any issues. The dog house looks great, but I would not recommend it for outdoor use or to contain a large dog. The first time I locked the door, my 8 month old tibetan terrier bit the flimsy soft wood bars off the door and escaped within 5 minutes. I plan to keep the dog house, but I will likely make my own door, replace the hinges, lock, and replace or beef up the side window to contain my mini escape artist. I guess I should also mention the smell of the wood/stain; it is quite strong which may subside over time. The smell is not bad, it is just strong. Maybe that is why our dog wanted out so bad? Hmmm?. I would give this product 4.5 stars on looks, and 2.5 stars on quality/durability. Overall a 3.I would say I like this dog house better than a plastic kennel as long as you feel comfortable making your own upgrades.

Honest reviews on Doggy Den Dog House
I live in the country and have 3 cats that live outside. I wanted something that they could take cover in during bad Kansas weather:) I purchased the medium size and it was more than large enough for all 3 of them!! The instructions were very easy to follow and I put this together in less than 30 minutes. Love the fact that it has a door and windows so the cats have an added escape route if necessary. In some of the review I read they said they had problems with the floor, but I had no such problem. The house is very sturdy and extremely cute. I am very happy with this purchase.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Doggy Den Dog House
Got this for 2 kittens that were born under my deck for the winter. Putting this together was extremely simple and straightforward. Smelled great too. I bought a heated pad for the bottom for the kitties to be warmer in the winter. For anyone with a small dog and wants a good dog house, this is perfect. There are levelers and plastic caps on the bottom of the legs which also help it stay above any wetness that might cause the wood to decay if it was just on the ground. I also put styrofoam on the insides to keep the inside warmer for them and block the window.Tuesday, December 17, 2013
K9 Granola Factory Apple and Cranberry Pumpkin Crunchers Review
There is no wheat, corn or soy in the K9 Granola Factory treats. This brand is my number one go to for healthy treats for my dogs. Wheat is bad for dogs with cancer, I have a dog with cancer, this is why it is so important to get him treats and food that are healthy for him. My dogs drool when I open a new bag every time no matter which flavor I have purchased. If you have a dog with health issues, allergies, special needs, or just want to get your already healthy dog a fabulous treat, these are the brand you should buy.
