I absolutely love this gate. It's got a beautiful dark finish that fits in perfectly with the rest of our decor, the gate swings open and closes very smoothly, and while it's not the easiest gate to open one-handed, it's easy enough for an adult and nearly impossible for our son.

We're using this gate to span the extra wide hallway leading from our front door/formal dining room to the living room since we don't want our son (9 months old) getting into anything where we can't keep a eye on him while working in the kitchen. To get it to fit, I had to install it in a half-hexagon shape and I actually like the way it looks that way. It seems to be easier to walk in and out of without having the gate being straight across, though this gate's opening is nice and wide compared to most other baby gates.

An added plus to this gate system is that it's extremely easy to disconnect from the mounting brackets and collapse against one of the walls, either full-extended or folded in on itself. It's very convenient for when we have people over and don't need to bother with the gate, or when we're moving larger stuff around and need it out of the way. I couldn't imagine having a gate without that feature after having this one.

The only reason I'm knocking this gate a star is the mounting hardware. It doesn't include drywall anchors, so unless you provide them yourself you'll have to find studs to screw into or your baby is probably going to rip the gate off the walls by the time he/she is 2 years old. I always keep a wide variety of drywall anchors on hand because they're cheap and greatly increase the mounting options I have for things like this. I used 75lb drywall anchors for each upper mounting bracket, and that leads to my 2nd issue with this gate...

If you have baseboards in the area you're wanting to install this gate, you won't be able to use the lower mounting brackets without damaging the baseboards, which I refused to do. That's why I really went for the overkill on the upper brackets. The lower mounts are positioned at the very bottom of the gate itself, and not midway up the end poles like on some other gates. So unless you want to install the gate floating in the air at least the height of your baseboards, or you don't mind ruining your baseboards and needing to replace them later, you won't be able to use the lower brackets.

Having said that, with the drywall anchors we really don't miss having the lower brackets. I can shake the gate myself and it won't budge, let alone when my son tries. The gate is built extremely well and is very sturdy, even without those bottom brackets (though with my added drywall anchors). It's easy to take down and put back up thanks to the quick-connect/disconnect clips on the end panels. All in all, I'd recommend this gate 100% to anyone and would buy one for every large area I needed to fence off in my house if I actually had any more areas.

I thought since our doorway was 70" that this would work out fine for us, but it just didn't.... the "joints" where the expansions pivot make it inherently unstable in a wider opening, even with the adjustments locked down, there was enough play in the gate that it did not feel like it was very stable at all... it wobbled a lot when we went to open it, and because of that wobble it didn't always close when the door was released either.

I also didn't like that the gate portion only opens towards one direction I'm familiar with the Summer Infant Sure and Secure 6 Foot Metal Expansion Gate because my parents have one for their dogs and I was expecting a similarly solid gate that could be opened either direction and this one was very disappointing. I ended up ordering that Summer Infant to replace this one (having only opted for this one becuase it was $9 less and wasn't a weird beige color), and I know it will work much better for how we plan to use it.

I think this gate could have worked better for us with a slightly smaller doorway not sure how much smaller, but the design itself seems like it may be more stable when it's not fully extended. If you need to span something close to the 71.3" limit of this gate you would be better off with a gate that has solidly secured extensions.

I've bought four gates in the past six months, and this one has been the absolute best. The color is a rich bronze, and really matches my decor and flooring moreso than other brown gates. The joints are put together VERY well (the last two gates had extremely flimsy joints). It was very easy to install, taking less than 30 minutes. My favorite feature is that you can open just the gate door, or lift up one end and move the entire gate forwards / backwards. It works exceptional in keeping my Great Dane in his room at night, or while I'm cleaning the house. I highly recommend this gate.

Gate works great, good looking (for a gate) only issue is it doesn't mention that if you have molding, you may have to alter your installation!!! I made some "shims" to account for the molding so my upper and lower brackets would line up once I did this, it's been perfect!

This is an absolutely lovely gate. However, it is advertised as fitting openings up to 72". My space is exactly 72". When we received the gate, the box says 72". When you open the box and look at the instructions, it says 71.3". That is not 72". We tried to install it anyway, hoping that the instructions might be misprinted, but nope ... it is just a smidge TOO SHORT. I am not happy b/c this will be a pain to ship back. I contacted the manufacturer to see if they have a solution, and if I am happy with the result I will amend my review. We still need a gate, so we are considering getting a piece of wood to make our opening smaller, but this would be a major project (for us) and adds something unattractive. I didn't spend money on a really nice gate to have it look crappy b/c I had to add something to my WALL.

This crate has a soft bottom and lightly attached handles, so it is meant to be stationary crate, rather than a carrier. I found it difficult to assemble, and the soft/flexible bottom unsuitable for my needs (I needed a carrier, not a crate) and wanted to return it, but shipping costs were almost equal to the cost of the unit. ATC had good customer service and we reached an agreeable settlement.

This crate is truly amazing. I have the 48" version for my Bernese Mountain Dog. The copper hammertone finish is beautiful and does not look like a "cage" in my home. The crate does not rattle, as the handles are covered and the clips are extremely quiet. It also has rubber feet on the bottom as to not scratch my floors. The option of having the door on the top is FABULOUS, as well as having a door on the front and side. I can place the crate against my wall without having it "stick out" into the walk area. The doors are incredible has they have extra locks. My Bernese is quite creative and figured out how to slide the bolt, but it doesn't matter with this one! The doors have additional features that keep it from opening by her, but easily by me. The wire is also have heavy duty, so it weights a ton-but I know will last a lifetime. I LOVE THIS CRATE!

I have two Dogs, 12 and 1 yr old, medium size and a bit larger. both have strong health teeth, chewing bones like this for most of their lives. I was told by my Veterinarian one of the main reasons (besides no soft food) the have great oral hygiene. these natural bones are the right size and the dogs never leave them alone until they are gone or I take them away. Dont give these to them before bed time (crunch crunch crunch). I notice they develop a thirst after chewing for awhile. No digestion problems as a result of eating on these. a great bang for the buck as far as dog treats go. Strongly recommend for dogs that have good teeth.

First, pork bones should never be given to dogs. I would not have purchased these but, like a bad consumer, did not read the label and thought they were beef bones. That was MY bad. But the blame goes to this company who markets these pork bones. Both of my dogs (~40 lb. mutts) splintered these bones in a matter of minutes. The next day, there was blood in both of their poops and one of them stopped eating completely for three days. $438 dollars at my vet's office put me on the warpath. I went to my grocer who called the sales rep; she told him that it "rarely" happens that the bones splinter. I should have played the lottery that day because it happened twice in one day at my house. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE BONES!! Do not risk your dog's health for the flimsy assurances of a company that makes a lot of money off of something that is potentially very dangerous.

Dogs got them as an alternative to beef bones which they are allergic to. They got right into them, but you must supervise as the knobby ends break off and they are about the size of a large marble so could cause some trouble. I also noticed they splintered, so they were removed at that point. I like the idea, but the safety issue was a problem.

I was terribly dissapointed, upon opening my package, to find that the clear portion of this is rubber (or silicone). It's not taut like an inflated ball, it's more wobbly and stretchy than I ever would have expected. Either of my dogs would tear this apart to get to the treats inside instead of rolling it around the floor. Maybe it'd work for an older dog or one too small to really get his jaws around this but I'm returning it for sure!!

The material that they use to make this toy is a sticky type of plastic. It collects TONS of dirt and hair from allover when my dog rolls it on the ground. It is also way too easy to get the treat out of it. It is not worth the pricetag it comes with in my opinion.

I love the idea of this puzzle toy but, I was disappointed to know that the clear part is a silicone rubber....Very easy for my dog to chew up, every time she tries to chew on it I have to stop her. She did figure out that she has to roll it to get the treats out. I wish the clear part was a hard plastic. I like the puzzle though, the idea of the different levels of edges to block the treats is cool! I am hoping it last for a while.

Our pup loves this ball, he figured it out and spends a while working with it to get treats. He pushes it around with his nose and loves getting the treats out. Once he's done getting all the treats he plays with it like a regular ball and loves having me throw it because it bounces and rolls really well, but it's a bit bigger than his usual tennis balls. He can also pick it up by putting his teeth in the bigger hole and carrying in around with him.

My only suggestion would be that it would be great if it came with a plug for the bigger hole so that we could use small kibble or treats that fall through the little hole. Right now we just tape over the big hole if the treats are too small. It would also be great for washing since I often just have to rinse off the carpet and saliva guck and I don't want the inside getting all wet.

This toy is one if the best dog toys I have bought! You have to get small biscuits do the treats won't fall out. But if you get the right size, it creates hours of fun and a challenging game for your dog. My dig loves this treat ball and jumps with excitement when she sees me fill it. I can fit as many as 5 biscuits in there, keeping her entertained for hours.

Our fifteen year old cat, Buster, is very happy with his new heated cat bed by K&H Pet Products. It is a joy to see (and hear!) him sleeping and snoring away happily. (See photo)

It took him a few days to adjust, but he now uses it exclusively. Unsure of what size to order, I took Buster's actual dimensions while he slept, and determined that the medium sized bed would be best. With an inside measurement of 18" x 14" , it is small enough to offer him cozy comfort, but large enough for him to stretch out just a bit. Weighing in at just over 17 pounds(!), it seems to fit him perfectly.

At first, I was a bit "put off" by the actual size of the heating element. At 8" x 9", it seemed small for the size of the bed. After weeks of observing the cat, I can happily report that the element appears to be just the right size. It allows him to adjust his position to where he is most comfortable, giving him heat where HE wants it. Of course, everyone would be happy with a heated bed during the long Michigan winter! The element is easily removed so the zippered bed cover can be slipped off and washed. It is plugged in around the clock.

Three sides of the bed stand approximately 7" high. This offers something to cozy up next to, as well as giving the added feeling of security. The interior of the bed is lined with an ultra soft and touchable fabric. Like most cats, he prefers to be up off the floor, so the bed rests on a piece of furniture.

The cost of the bed caused us to think twice about the purchase, but has proven to be money well spent. Buster is an indoor cat, but he seems somehow in a better mood of late. Does this bed comfort his old bones so much so as to relieve aches and pains? I guess we'll never know that for sure, but we give it five thumbs up!!

I was very disappointed in this product. The heater was very small and only covered a small portion of the pad. The bed was very flimsy. My cat practically fell over when she stepped into it. She did not like the bed and would not use it. She preferred her firmer bed which did not have a heating unit. I would not recommend this product.

I got this for my 26 year old kitty, who loved it. Now the dog is looking forward to inheriting. This helped Elvira so much, my neighbors with aging pets all ordered one and all report satisfied pets the Yorkie next door makes her family move the bed from room to room with her! (NOTE: This one fit my aged kitty well she could sprawl and not fall out, heating element is large enough. For a cat or non-toy size dog, I wouldn't go any smaller than this my neighbor's much larger Tom is also comfy in his. The soft sides will stand up if you play with them, giving a nice "nest" shape/feel, but your elder pets won't hurt themselves climbing out sideways (there is a nice lower portal in front, but Elvira was blind and frequently made her own routes).

One caveat wash on cold/delicate, dry on low/delicate. The first one I got disintegrated in the wash, but Amazon had a new one headed our way before I could pack up the return. It's done very well and is washed often so I think the first was a fluke. This one's held up fine. Buy from them, unless you know the seller's return/replacement values.

Update 3/22/11: We washed the pillow per directions and the drooling stopped. We have this bed and two of the smaller versions, for three cats. They each have a favorite, but trade off if the favorite is occupied. We're thinking of getting another of the smaller cushions.

Our cat loved this bed but we noticed that the pillow was all wet. Thought we had spilled water on it. We let it dry out, and he got back in it this evening and we saw him licking it like crazy -it was all wet and drooled on, again. He has never done this before. There must be some chemical in the fabric. It's made in China. I wonder what they sprayed it with, or what's wrong with it? Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

My 18 year old cat seemed to always be cold in the house so I was looking for something to make him more comfortable sleeping. About this time, he got sick and was diagnosed with kidney failure. I ordered this dog bed because it had more room than the ones for cats. He loved it. It had room enough that he could stretch out and it was so soft and plush which helped his old joints too I'm sure. He didn't get to use it very long before he passed away but it was a great help to make his last days more comfortable. Great product!

I love this carrier. I wanted a lot of features in a carrier for my kittens and this one met all my needs without breaking the bank.

PROS

1. This carrier has a hard plastic bottom, which is a breeze to clean. The first day I brought my kitties home, I had a mess to clean up and was so glad I went with a hard bottom carrier over a soft carrier. All I had to do was remove the pad (bought separately) and wipe clean.

2. The top half is softer, almost fabric-like, but still holds the shape so it allows maximum standing room. There is plenty of ventilation as well.

3. It's cute! It may not be of upmost importance to everyone, but it was the clinching feature for me. :)

4. It has two openings: one steel opening in front (which I rarely use, but dogs will like it) and a mesh opening on top. The mesh is heavy duty and my kitties have tried clawing through it but with no luck. The top door makes it so easy to load the cats up for a trip to the vet.

5. Contrary to another review, I found it a cinch to put together. It has wing nuts that have to be tightened by hand-if you use tools, you risk over tightening and cracking the plastic. Yes, it does require some strength and my hands were a tad sore afterward, but it has held together really well! The slight inconveniences are not enough for me to take away a star.

6. It's affordable. I was appalled at how much carriers cost ($100+), so I was glad to find this one at a reasonable price.

7. Last but not least, I love the strap! While not the easiest thing to do, it can be shortened to be a hand strap, or lengthened to use as a shoulder strap.

CONS

1. As stated above, it can be tedious to hand tighten the wing nuts. Again, this was not enough of an issue for me to change my rating. I just sucked it up and did it. Maybe holding a cloth while tightening will make it more comfortable?

2. The strap is a little difficult to adjust. Once I decided where I liked it I just left it. But if you want to adjust it all the time, you may find it annoying.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this carrier! It met all my needs, was not too expensive, and it's cute! Can't ask for more!

Dog tore off one side of the felt within a couple days; has been slowly chewing off pieces of the bone and tore out the squeaker, so now it's permanently switched to off. For dogs who eat their toys, this one's no different.

I bought this for my 46#, 6 month, German Shepherd mix. He destroyed it fairly quickly. He got past the fuzzy outside and began pulling apart pieces and swallowing. In general, I love Kong and have bought them for all three of my past Boxers. Maybe it's just this toy, having a thinner rubber. Possibly, him being a long nosed, focused, chewing breed. Don't really know. I think it may be a good toy to try again when he outgrows this chewing stage.

I have been buying Kong products for fifteen years, I have never had a problem until now.

This item lasted two days, I have a German Shepherd puppy she had it destroyed that fast.
