One of my dogs couldn't figure out how to get out of the dog house at first and started pawing at it. Once she saw the other dog plow through it, she figured it out! She likes to hang her head out of the door, so this worked out perfect and it keeps them dry and cozy.

I went back & forth based on the reviews to get SMALL or LARGE. After measuring my console, the small was my only option but was afraid that my little Yorkie mix (9 lbs) would not fit comfortably. Being a little snuggle bug herself, she curled into it and can lay down curled up. She also sometimes lies her head on the lip of the seat as well. Not much room for anything else but it works. She gets to see everything from the console.

I would rate this 5 but the straps (as I have read in the reviews), are awkward. Firstly, the small strap that is supposed to go around the console is too big... Luckily my GL had another part that it could attach to so I did. Then the two straps that looks like it's supposed to go around the seats are too short. I had to rig it up my own way with some latches that were on the floor. Being slightly too short for that too, I had to simply use an extension loop.

Now we are set.

For those who want the large unit so their pet can lay out in the seat, I don't know what cars would have such a HUGE console! I have a Mercedes 450 GL which is a large SUV. Granted, the console is moderate but what car would have such a huge console I wouldn't know.

Okay so I knew when I bought this, I would have some issues. I have a 2010 Ford Mustang convertible and a 2 pound Maltese. I was worried carrying her in our laps for fear that a small front end fender bender would make the air bags inflate and kill our poor little pup. So, I measured between the seats and knew it would be wide enough...but... I don't have the right type of console. The back section of the console opens and the front part is a drink holder. When I got the seat, I was right it didn't work. However, I was able to take the rear straps and attach them to the undersides of the front seats in the back, then, for the front (which was the real problem), I attached two additional straps with clips and attached those underneath the front seats in the front. To access my console, I need to unclip the front clips, to tip the seat back. It works great. While it did take some jury-rigging to work, it keeps her secure between the seats, and all 4 of my seats are still open for passengers (which was the concern with over the seat options). We use it with a harness since if she had just the collar and was thrown it would snap her little neck. Once we clip her in the harness, I am confident that she is comfortable and safe. She was thrown from it once when we had to stop *very* quickly, and her harness kept her from being injured. Thank goodness! All in all, except for the fact that I had to jury-rig it to make it work, it is a *wonderful* seat!

We love this console car seat, it fits great in our 2011 explorer. Our dog always wants to be close to us, after holding her on a 1400 mi trip I found this seat and it works perfect, she curls up and goes to sleep or watches out the window. She likes it and hops right in when she goes with us. Our dog is only 5 lbs. the seat is small for a dog 10 lbs or under.

I really do like this car seat, and my little girl loves riding in it, but I just wish there were an easier on/off procedure, because my boyfriend is a big guy, he couldnt drive comfortably with it right up against his side and had to remove it and threw it in the back, we share a car and it just hasn't seemed worth the hassle to re-rigg the whole thing again, when he will have to remove it again anyway....

OK we got the bars across the seat and the backseat hammock. But it wasn't enough for our Border Collie he chewed through the hammock and squished under the bars and I found him sitting in the drivers seat with his muddy paws when I came out of the post office. So we added the Mesh Car Barrier and that works like a champ.

Easy to install and most importantly, keeps my 3 dogs from visiting the front seat of my van. It is low enough so I can see over it, in to the back and out the back window, but high enough to do the job of pet containment.

We have a yellow lab. As lab owners know, they are wonderful dogs. Unfortunately, they are a member of the porcupine family and love to leave their quills stuck in everything. Seasons seem to have no affect on the amount they shed. I have a knew RAV4, the instant my back is turned, he wants all over the front seats leaving masses of hair and drool. After checking the reviews, I chose the Petego. In the three weeks I have had it, he hasn't crossed the divide.

The only downside I see, is that the interior of the car now resembles a police cruiser. A small price to pay.

I got this barrier to stop our dogs migrating from the back seat of the truck to the front seat when it's parked. That the truck was new and has leather upholstery instead of cloth/plastic made the requirement more urgent.

Well, it keeps one of the dogs on the back seat (golden retriever). The other dog (yellow labrador) has worked out that the top edge bends. So the first time we came back to the truck after running an errand, we find a labrador in the front passenger seat, and a golden retriever on the back seat.

The installation was also bit more a hassle than expected. While simple enough (make loops, drop them around the base of the seats, tie the other end to the headrest posts), it didn't allow for the fact that not all seats are bolted to the floor the same way, nor that there might be electrical cables coming up for seat control.

So, if you have larger dogs, or dogs determined to explore, accept the fact you'll probably have to order the bars as well, because this barrier alone won't stop their forward migration.

As for me and my dogs they now travel in the car unless we're towing something.

I bought this along with the Walky Guard Car Barrier for our 2008 Audi TT and Honda Ridgeline. I had originally intended to use this in the Ridgeline. It is hard to tell from online pictures how these things are going to fit. Turns out , the Walky guard fits well in the Honda and this is perfect for the Audi. The screen fits precisely between the roof and tunnel housing behind the front seats and completely blocks the area between the seats. It looks good and is very sturdy, with 3 fiberglass battens to strengthen the mesh. Our dogs are smaller but it should keep most breeds where they belong. It does block the rear view somewhat.

I did not realize the large sized door is too small for the extra large dogloo. The Amazon website did not explain this very well. I will still use the door as it was partially my fault on the misunderstanding. The door is difficult to attach to the dogloo because of limited space to access the nut and bolt which fastens the door to the top of the opening. Also had to redrill the holes as it will not line up correctly because of the different sizes in doors.

My first shock after ordering this was getting a confirmation e-mail saying I could expect delivery (from China) in about six weeks.

It came in about two weeks.

The latch fits perfectly in the receptacle in the center of the rear seat. My dog can now put his paws up on the back side of the console and see where we're going, but he can't jump up into my lap.

More importantly, however, is that with wearing a cross-body harness and his own seat belt, if I have to stop fast, the worst that's going to happen to him is that he'll lose his footing on the back seat and be suspended over the edge of the seat by his harness. (Not hung by his collar.)

Edited to add: If you have seat belts where you press down on the top of the buckle (rather than on the side) it's quite easy for your dog to unbuckle himself as s/he moves around. I've solved that problem because my car (fortunately) has a little pocket in the seat where you can stow the buckle when not in use, so I've just fastened the belt to the buckle and then put the buckle in the pocket. Now my dog doesn't step on the buckle and release himself.

I don't consider this any sort of "manufacturing defect" as the tab of the belt fits perfectly into the buckle. However, if you have top-release belts like mine, don't be surprised if your dog manages to step on the buckle, release it, and jumps up into your lap.

We bought a SmartBone from Petsmart (not Amazon) but were so disappointed that we wanted to warn as many people as possible. Our dog loved it, but within seconds the end of the bone popped off and she almost choked on it. Then she got really hyperactive and was breathing hard for a long time afterwards. There's a lot of sugar in this product and none in her regular food, so we think she had some sort of sugar rush. She's just now starting to calm down several hours later. All that aside, the bone didn't last nearly as long as it should (for the price), and the mental anguish just isn't worth it. Spend your money elsewhere.

First of all, the ingredients listed on Amazon are not nearly as complete as the ingredients listed on the actual bag. One of my dogs is allergic to peas and carrots, both of which are in the ingredient list on the bag, but not listed on the site.

Secondly, one large "SmartBone" takes my large breed dog no more than 5 minutes to devour. At three dollars a bone, this is way too expensive.

I've been on a rampage to find the perfect dog treat for my three catahoula leopard dogs and decided to give smart bones a try. For my two chow-hounds they finished a large bone in 1min:26sec while my female took 7min:45sec (I time them as part of the cost analysis in finding a durable but not going to break-their-teeth-treat). Obviously this means they loved it, but being a bit brittle a determined dog could eat this treat too quickly to get much of the "needed chewing exercise" advertised on the back.

The other red flag that I picked up on is that the bones are made in China. Given all the kidney failure cases in pets in 2007 from wheat gluten imported from China, I would imagine that a conscientious pet treat company would try to localize their manufacturing. I love that these chews are not made of rawhide, which my dogs love but of course cannot digest.

This cover is great for the price. You have the ability to use the side or end door of the crate. Because of the chocolate color it creates a nice "den"effect. The trim color is a nice sea foam blue, not minty like the picture. The fabric is a nice heavy canvas type of material. As always Amazon is always in time with prime shipping. So worth it compared to the ridiculously expensive "stage coach" crate covers.

The crate cover did fill my need but it was not as perfect as I had hoped. I was tired of having blankets thrown over my dog crates to create that den like effect. This cover fits the crate but is too loose even though its the right size. The sides do not meet and the light gets in. The dogs don't like it.

I bought this cover because it opened in front and on the side, which gave us the flexibility we needed for a crate we use both ways. It fits a random, medium sized wire crate very well, as far as draping it over the top, and my dog has shown no apparent desire to try to pull it off (I don't see ties to keep it on, which is going to be a problem for some dogs).

My major gripe is that the ties don't hold the raised side high enough to avoid the door. I just lift up the rolled material so I can open and close the door, and it's annoying but doable. My kids, however, are pretty young and they really struggle to keep the puppy in the crate, hold up the side, and still find a third hand to actually close the door. ;-/

I'm also noticing as I sit down to review this, that I clearly was sent the wrong color. I noticed it wasn't chocolate brown like the picture (more of a dark brownish-green), but as desperate as we were to cover up the crate, I just sighed and didn't worry about it. But now I realize mine also has khaki trimming, rather than the aqua-ish color pictured. Oh, well. I'm not changing my rating for that -shipping mistake, not a product quality issue, as far as I'm concerned. One more thing for tired puppy parents to take care of now, though....

This comb's best use is for untangling matted fur. We have three cats: one short hair, one medium hair, and one long hair. This comb does not function well as an everyday grooming tool, even on the long haired cat, which is what we needed and what the item's description includes.

This face grooming comb works well for combing out the eye gunk in the corners of my shih tzu's eyes. The teeth are fine enough to catch everything (a bit too fine for the tangles of his beard though). Much easier than using a flea comb to get into the small space where his nose meets his eyes. His smelly face has much improved now that his eyes are cleaner.

Discount Lil Pals Waste Bag for Dogs

I've used this dispenser now for 2 types of bags, the ones that come with it and BioBags on a roll. The little pouch works GREAT and I highly recommend it. A little more detail about both types of bags and use with this dispenser.

1. The bags that come with it are OK, but I'll leave it at that. MAYBE 3 stars out of 5. It's extremely hard to see the perforation for tearing, and that's my biggest beef. They also don't have the same consistency as other biodegradable bags, which has me a little put off, only because I know some don't compost as well as others. When you are loading the dispenser with a new batch of bags, there's a little tag sticking out in the center/middle of one end, to allow you to pull the bags from the center. Unfortunately this little tag doesn't work well for me. I pulled, and all it did was tear the 1st bag it was stuck to. The bags aren't strong enough to support pulling a bag out of that tight wrapping. As another poster listed, I had to use needle nose pliers to get the first bag out. Being as I'm using this for my children's diapers, I'm always on the run. I don't have time to bust out needle nose pliers anytime I need to load new bags.

2. Regardless, I just tried this dispenser with my BioBags, which I love and highly recommend! It's easy to pull them from the middle, and quite easy to load the bags into the dispenser. They are not made for this type of dispenser, but the two work great as a pair.

The bag dispenser location was on the bottom and was not conducive to feeding bags from a roll as the roll would bunch up easily.
