This is a video of my new HUge Cat tree, with cats getting acquainted, just recieved and set up. When I saw it here, I didnt think it was THAT Huge, but sure enough its awesome.If you look at the set up, its as if you have two cats trees. I have seen cat trees 1/2 the height and width, for 50% more the cost, and this is an incredible deal for the price! As you are assembling, it seems flimsy and shaky, but rest assured The tree is sturdy once its all put together. It took about 3 hours to put together, only because the instructions are poor, but you will figure it out and take your time because you may have to think outside the box on this one. But not as complicated as one may think.You get a tool with the kit, but you will need a Philips screwdriver for the screws on the ladders only. The only thing I didnt realize was it is covered in Faux Fur, not carpeting, and I worried that the cats wouldnt be able to get a grip, but they proved me wrong with that, but I think Ill get a few strips of carpeting and attach them to the poles here and there. The only one complaint I would have is the round tubes are quite smaller then I expected, but that doesnt stop the cats from using them.You can get some tubing and make your own bigger ones if your cat is a plumper. FYI, The tall poles dont actually attach to the ceiling, but rather there is a long threaded rod with butterfly screw, it screws into the top poles and is covered by soft "socks" protecting your paint, so that you can adjust the height of the rod to your ceiling so it holds tight, kind of like those shower pole-shelves that hold on to the ceiling in your bathtub. Over all a solid 5 stars, and an excellent price for a perfect cat tree.

I bought this after a lot of deliberation (it was a big purchase for me) but I really wanted this for my cats. I live in an apartment currently (after living in a large home for 15 years) so I wanted to give 'the kids' (haha) lots of vertical space to play, since I can't offer a lot of horizontal play space anymore. I waited with excitement for this to come and it did pretty quickly.

It came in pretty well packaged and promptly. It had no written instructions, but, as stated in every other review, with "picture directions" instead. I wasn't worried about that, I've put tons of these sorts of things together. It went relatively well. The tree is actually three pieces; two sides and the middle piece with that fuzzy brush thing. That is a problem. The base(s) are too narrow, I think it would help the stability a lot if these pieces were wider, so being 3 pieces as well becomes a problem. There is no solid structural support.

In my home, the 9' top anchor doesn't reach the ceiling. That's on me, not the product, but for me it added to the structural support issue. I also feel that this cat tree is not designed as well as it could be, the posts that make it up are insufficient in quantity. What I mean by that is; the side where the baskets are (left side on mine) needs at least one more post for structural support, the other side (my right) needs two... so there is nothing really to stabilize it.. To unfortunately add (detract? ) to this is the shelf levels *are* small. I genuinely believed people were exaggerating that issue...they're not. I had to take the 'circles' off so they could use them at all. That sort of stinks.

My cats DO use this tree, and they seem to like it *ok*, and they like the little round house on it, use that all the time, and that's great! But they don't go nuts on it, like I had hoped & wanted for them to be able to do (and why I got the tree) and now I worry. It rocks & sways a LOT. Twice my cats have fallen, in the beginning, which is why they don't run & tear around on it (like they do their old one) anymore. I *was* going to give my brother my other tree, but because of the issues I've listed here, I ended up keeping that one and use it placed solidly against this one to lend support. Not exactly the experience I was looking forward to (for my cats). If I'd known before I bought what I know now. .. I'd think get two good medium sized trees & set them together..it'd be more useful and stable. If this were slightly better designed (wider base, better supports, and more 'useable' space) I'd give this 5 stars, easily, but currently I can only give it 3. It's possible that small and less ...'crazy' (haha) ...cats might get better use from this than mine can..

First my review warning; be sure you are reading reviews for the product you are buying. Amazon has apparently combined reviews for the product *I* am reviewing and *ANOTHER* cat tree that the (current) "featured reviews" (the first few shown) are reviewing... So, just be careful. The tree MY review is for doesn't have those corner boxes, etc., like the one in that video review which looks *awesome*, but is NOT THIS product. So BEWARE.

Now that I've told you that, here is my updated review (for *THIS* product):

Well, this tree just crashed down (for no apparent reason)! It dumped the only cat that sleeps on it from the top right sleep ledge and went on to fall on my other cat! I now have two injured cats. My tree is only a couple months old. I took a look at it after taking care of the girls (who got hurt) and found it fell because the supports it *does* have apparently just "wore out" (or something, wth?!?). At first I thought they had become loose (the internal screws holding the posts up, I mean), so I tried tightening them, but that wasn't it. They just couldn't stay up straight or tighten. I ended up taking the whole right side off and left just the base with the platform where the ladder in the middle goes (which snapped). The rest is now supported by my older (*better*) tree. Please, DO NOT buy this if you care about your cats or if you live in an apartment where you can't punch all kinds of holes in the walls & ceilings in order to prop up this defective & dangerous product. I'm genuinely sorry to leave this new, updated review... but I can't, in good conscience, not say anything about this... and I was *so* happy (and excited) when I first ordered this......

After seeing the higher prices and smaller sizes of climbing trees in local pet stores, this was an easy decision. We don't regret it at all-our Bengal loves it. It is higher quality than I expected, too. Very sturdy connections, the fabric is securely attached to the platforms (without staples!), and the sisal is wrapped tightly around the posts. The other review was right on about the third section; it is quite wobbly. We plan to connect the two towers with an additional board wrapped in sisal.

I gave this four stars instead of five for two reasons: first, and this is very minor, the color of the fabric is "retro" in a bad way. It is a little more gold than it appears in the pictures. I'd prefer something more neutral. Our cat doesn't care, but it's not something I'd be proud to display in our living room (it resides in the corner of our bedroom). The big fault is the size-right now, at 16 weeks, it is perfect. It seems like it was built on 7/8th scale. I'm afraid that he will outgrow this within a year. The fabric baskets will probably be to small soon, but he LOVES them now! The tubes are a small diameter and there's not much space around them, but the good news is that I can just remove them when he gets bigger. Since this is easy to assemble, it is easy to disassemble.

Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this to any cat owner with the space for such a big item. A better bargain than you'll ever find in a pet store.

This cat tree is really awesome and fun...once it's put together! But putting it together is a pain in the rear (and the fingers, after you get done screwing everything together). The "instructions" are a numbered picture of what you need to put together first, along with a page listing what came with the cat tree. My copy of the instructions were mis-numbered a couple of times so I had to guess a couple times of what the next step should be. I also found the parts list confusing at first because it was hard to tell what size the posts were. They were all listed in centimeters -I finally had to go find a tape measure with centimeters listed so I could figure out which ones to use.

One important thing to know is that the order of what you're supposed to put together first NEEDS to be followed closely. I went out of order a couple of times and ended up stuck and having to take the whole thing apart and start over. Another tip I would give is to put it together on its side on the floor and then set it upright. It also helps to have another person to help you put everything together as some of the pieces come with crooked holes or holes that haven't been drilled all the way through.

All in all, it took me 7 hours, my mom's help, a bunch of slivers from screwing in the rope covered posts, and one crying hissy fit to get the tree put together. But the tree looks awesome and my cats LOVE their new toy. I do think the tree looks like it's made for smaller cats -which mine are -and I agree with the other reviews that the right side isn't nearly as stable as the left. I'm going to wait and see how my cats handle it before I decide whether or not to secure it more.

If you're willing to go through the headache of assembly, this cat tree is totally worth it AND it's a great price -over $100 less than what the manufacturer's website is selling it for. Just be prepared to spend a very frustrating, sweaty day putting it together.

Piggy (the french/english bulldog 41 lbs) LOVES Kurklops so we bought a back up for what we thought would be his eventual demise but we still have the original over a year later. I had so much fun wathcing him pummel, chew, toss, and drag Kurklops so I started adding other Tuffy toys. Lulu (the rot/lab 65 lbs) is only interested in taking the toy from Piggy and walking away. We have purchased T-Rex, 2 Kurklops, 1 Lil Oscar, 1 shark, and a Tuffy toss ring. They have no interest in the ring, the shark was demolished quickly (boy did Piggy love ripping off the fins) and Lil Oscar has held on only because he is less interesting than Kurklops and T-Rex. What we have found is that for very active dogs the closer the size of the toy/dog match, the longer the toy lasts. For dogs that are less destructive you could reasonably have one of smaller toys last many many years.

Our 4 Great Danes LOVE the Tuffy toys. They're the ONLY toys we've found that last more than a day in our house. We've gone through 3 Polly the Pig in the past 2 years.

Tuffy's Polly Pig Dog Toy

We decided to change things up and try out "Rex". The Danes love it just as much if not more than Polly.

I would recommend you control when your dogs play with this toy. Don't let them have full access to it or they will be able to gnaw on the seams and find a weak spot. We let them play with it whenever they want but as soon as one of them tries to take it onto their dog bed and chew on it we put it away. If you control it this stuffy will last a VERY long time

Given the construction of this item, I imagine it might fare better with smaller dogs with less bite torque, arrived in 2 days thus the 2 stars BUT this item lasted 3 days with a 12 week old Doberman Pup, with baby teeth no less. Total play time might have been 2 hours, was reasonably supervised, no extended periods or sleep time allowed. The material on the belly just couldn't stand up to the gnawing power. Did NOT work for us in any event, and not recommended for this breed, as this is the 2nd Tuffy's we tried. The Triceratops gave in at the ear seams, but we thought a toy with only arms and legs might fare better. NOT.

Kool Toy! I really like the large size of the T-Rex, or rather my pit-mix Zelda does! My doggie really puts a hurtin' on her toys, specially stuft ones, but this dino really stands up to the punishment. In the first 10 mins she tore off the dino's arm, and the toy proceeded to bleed stuffing as it is packed into the toy like nuts! Although having only 1 arm, and low on stuffin' the T-Rex still is hanging on to pester my doggie 2 months after purchase, well beating the record for any stuft toy, or regular toy for that matter I have ever purchased for her!

This hoodie is so adorable! I bought it for my puppy to help her adjust to snowy winters. Unfortunately, the sizing was WAY off and this was enormous on her when it first arrived. Good thing she's growing so fast! The hoodie is really soft, inside and out. I like to put this on my girl after being outside in the snow to help her warm up. She snuggles into it like a favorite blanket. This is a great product, but it would be helpful to have more accurate sizing help prior to purchasing.

I was disappointed to say the least. I currently use another 6 inch 100% cotton lead that I purchased from a dog trainer for about the same price. That lead is thick and very soft and my favorite lead to use because it does not dig into my hand when my young beagle pulls on it. It is just the right length (I find 5 feet leads too short). It has begun to fray, however, because our dog gnawed on it, so I wanted to find a replacement. The lead I bought from Amazon turned out to be much thinner and doesn't feel like 100% cotton. All I know is that it hurts my hand, so I don't use it anymore for our beagle.

I had a four foot leash that was just a bit too short. It was really soft, but I wanted something longer. My dog has a bad habit of pulling sometimes, I admit that. I've been training him to walk beside me. I let him go to the bathroom a bit farther away from me. Sometimes I don't want to go onto the grass (some irresponsible dog owners don't pick up after their dogs) and a longer leash would allow me to let him sniff around at a reasonable distance without him pulling me. And don't worry. I always pick up after my dog.

I bought the leash in black and the length is good. I definitely like the extra two feet. My old leash was not long enough. The only problem is the leash is not soft at all. It really hurts my hand when I correct my dog when he strays a bit too far or when he pulls. The material is a bit too rough. I'm not going to return it because it's just not worth paying the shipping to send it back, and I'm not going to return my dog! I guess there's more training to do, but I still wish it was softer. Maybe it'll soften up after a few uses. Hopefully!

Edited to Add: I'm getting used to the leash. It doesn't hurt my hand as much now. I added one star. I do wish it was a bit softer, but it's not as rough as when I first used it.

The product description quite clearly labels this product as 'cotton'. I've never seen any kind of cotton that melts when heated, but both cut ends of this lead are melted to prevent fraying. I'm willing to bet this is simple nylon. It feels that way, and looks that way, and I guess I should have guessed from the price that this was too good to be true.

If you want cotton, to protect your hands, give this a pass. It's fine as a cheap lead, but I would not try training a dog with it.
