Levi is a 16lb Jack Russell mix. His legs are much too short for his body and his head is much too large :) He loves to swim in the pool but after a few minutes he begins to sink, and only his head ever sticks out of the water (not his whole top line like most dogs)... a life vest was in order. This is the fourth vest I tried and it is the best. It has no velcro or buckles which is its biggest seller. He just steps into it and it zips down his back. With other vests, the velcro came undone within minutes and the vest would slip up and bunch up at his neck, like a life vest too large for a person constricts the neck. It was dangerous and a pain. This one is great. I like the mesh bottom and that it zips up. There is a slit in the top of the collar to allow his head to move freely. Very well designed. The small fit him well, but the small has only one set of handles between the shoulder blades, not two sets like the picture depicts. It's still very easy to lift him out, but for those that are expecting 2 sets, you're only getting one on a small (and XS I'd imagine). I uploaded this video to show how well it keeps him up out of the water. He stands up so you can see the mesh bottom :)

I have a teacup poodle and 2 Miniature Doxies. I have searched the world over for floats that would fit them. The poodle was always enveloped in the things and all you could see was her nose and ears. She always looked like a mummy. Fido Float XS actually fits her. Doxies notoriously have deep keels (chests) and to find a float was vertually impossible until Fido Float. The straps are in the right location and comfortably adjustable so that the dogs don't slip out of them through the back (the main problem with all of the others). The dogs love the boat and now I am more comfortable with them having protection. They swim when they are close to shore but when in rough water or far from shore I am much more comfortable with them in their Fido Floats. We bought this for my 7lb Yorkie. We have a boat and a pool and she loves the water. It's easy to put on/off. My dog hates the velcro kind so this has a zipper and is great. Got her the xs size, fits perfect. Easy for her to move and swim as other dog floats are very stiff and restricting. Handle is good for scooping her out of the water. Would def recommend this product.

I am reviewing the Premier Fido Float Dog Life Vest, size small. I have a 22# Border Terrier (similiar to a Jack Russell but longer legs, body, and fur) his chest girth is 21", neck 15". The small size vest is a perfect fit for him, snug but not too tight. The construction is nylon wrapped foam about 1/2" thick with a mesh underbelly with leg holes and a full length plastic zipper closure on top. There are two straps with girth adjustment to make the vest tighter/smaller (but not any larger) and snap buckles. The straps form a single handle on top as pictured, no back handle on the small size. The only negative is it is hard to get it on him without help and the zipper doesn't have a protective flap on the underside, so you have to be careful not to get his fur in the zipper when you close it. It would be a very tight fit for any dog with a chest girth bigger than 21". I will store the vest rolled up lengthwise to try to make the foam conform to the curveature of my dog better. I am a waterskier and based on my experience with lifevests I consider this to be more of a floatation aide for my 22# dog than a true life jacket for his weight. I haven't tried it in the water yet but I doubt this would keep him afloat by itself. However, this is what I wanted, it's not too bulky and think it will serve my needs nicely. I'm happy with it. If I can figure out how to post a photo of him in it I will.

Easy to clean, my puppy enjoys chewing both shapes, excellent "fetch" toys as they can be tossed in the house and will not scratch or dent furniture. Both shapes provide any size puppy with a variety of different chewing surfaces/textures. A treat can be put in the hollow red toy to encourage the puppy to chew the toy, so this shape is an excellent trainer. Soft enough for any but the tiniest pup to grip and carry easily. I would not have purchased these for my Pyrenees or Anatolian puppies as they would have required a larger size for safe play. But for my German Shepherd pup, they are perfect.

So far the puppies haven't been able to chew off any pieces which is great in my book. It is a bit harder to clean than the puppy nylabones but they like it as a change (we have a litter of 12 puppies they love different things). So far these toys have held up for constant use the last 3 weeks once their permanent teeth come in, however, these will be retired for the next litter.

This dog house arrived quickly , assembled in under an hour, easily. I would reccomend a cordless driver to assemble it. When it arrived it had a strong "new paint" odor, but that faded in a few days. My dog took to it very quickly, and now goes in it just to show off that he likes it. Yes, there's a factory residue, but nothing soap and water can't wash off. Note, we ordered two and both were pink. In the picture it looks more salmon, but it's definitely pink.

This was filthy when I got it. I tried washing it, but there was a black coating (on the pink one) that would NOT wash off. No way was I giving my dog such a dirty treat toy. It went back.

I was still able to put it together, but it is disappointing that the side for the dog to enter came cracked in three places. I am student and kept forgetting to call the company during their hours to get replacement pieces for those that were damaged.

I ordered the S/M size. My puppy first started wearing his bandanna when he was about 6lbs. Now he is 13lbs and the bandanna still fits, so I would say the S/M size would work for any of the small breed dogs (5-15lbs)

This bandana is great quality but I was disappointed that it didn't have Velcro. I easily added some myself but it's not the same.

Very cute product, although once the dog collar is inserted through the opening it does have a tendency to slide to the front. If there is a way to prevent this from happening that would make the product awesome. Nonetheless it is very cute. I gave it a 3 star for the sliding, otherwise it would be a 5 star.

We bought one of these and put them on our front door. We followed the directions for days, weeks, months! But still (its been almost a year) our dog doesn't voluntarily ring the bell when she needs to go outside.

We can say "outside! Ring the bells!" and she runs over to the door and rings the bells and gets all excited cause she knows we are going outside. Yet she will NEVER ring them on her own! I have tried putting peanut butter on the bells to get her to go up to them on her own and then took her outside, but still she wouldn't do it again. We have tried to reward her with treats (she is a pound dog so she is very food oriented) and she happily rings the bell on command but will not do it on her own.

We still use them, consistently, as the package says EVERY time we take her outside. Either these Poochie Bells don't work or our dog just doesn't understand the concept. "Ring Bells. Go Outside". Even when she has had an upset tummy she has not rung the bells! I would love any insight...

Buy Blue Buffalo Stew for Dogs

Here's my dog enjoying Blue's Stew Hearty Beef Stew in real time. Don't blink cause ya might miss it ; By the way, I know my 130# dog makes it look like there isn't much in a serving, but it's a 12 1/2 oz can similar in size to what you'd find in the grocery store for humans.

I've never bought wet dog food before, as it's never looked or SMELLED like something I'd want to have in my house, let alone feed my dog. I've been buying various flavors of Blue Buffalo brand kibble for my aging dog for the past couple of years. I think it's really helped him stay as active and fit as he is. He always had a rather sensitive system, and Blue Buffalo foods do not seem to cause him any digestive issues. This is our first try of their wet food, and based on his reaction, we'll be back to sample the other flavors!

The Dogfoodadvisor site gives it 5 stars. Here's the ingredient list:

I have a 9 year old Pomeranian. I have always fed her the best food I could find and most of her life she had venison... fresh.... and vitamins to make sure she got all the vitamins and minerals she needs. I dont get alot of venison these days so my lucky little buddy gets canned dog food now and seeing how I think it is my responsibility to feed my little dog the most nutritious food I can find... she gets Blue Buffalo. She absolutely LOVES this food! She has NEVER been so excited about dinner! She practically opens the cans! It was almost immediately that I noticed her "spunk" return. She now runs and plays again like when she was younger. I love seeing her so "lively" again. She has been eating the "duck" but today we are getting a second flavor so she can have a selection. I wish they came in a "MIXED" case! That way she could enjoy all the different flavors and get to have something different each day ... like I do! Like other reviewers... I noticed after starting on the Blue Buffalo... that she has less waste and her waste does not smell as bad as it used to. Our dog absolutely loves this brand Blue Buffalo Beef Stew canned food. It has generous vegetables and beef chunks in it.It does not have an odor like cheap dog foods when you open the can...Since putting our cats and dog on Blue Buffalo foods, they are much leaner, satisfied and do not have a "dog smell" or stinky cat litter....They are soooo much healthier..The cats are also on Blue Buffalo canned and dry food, and our dog eats the dry food for puppies as well. I have a 7 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. She has been on Connectin Chewables for almost 2 years now. They work wonders! We do lots of distance running and long (3-6 mile) off leash hiking. During these hikes she is a high speed wild girl likely covering 10x the ground I do (think sprinting 30 miles). At 5 years old she was getting sore after our hikes. It got to the point that she was noticeably stiff for several days after a hike. I put her on Connectin and within a week she had NO stiffness. At one point I tried taking her off the Connectin (to see if it really does work). After about 1 week she was stiff (going up stairs, on and off furniture, etc). I put her back on them and again only took 1 week for her to be her agile self again.

She is small at 53 lbs. and I give her one tab every morning. She runs with me too and during some of my pre-race training while ramping up the speed/distance of our runs I have doubled her dose to 1 tab 2x/day.

I did a lot of pricing and comparing products before settling on this one. It is important to me to give my K9 Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and Hyaluronic Acid. This is one of the ONLY products that has all 3 and it has the most of all 3 of all the products I viewed. Additionally, it is VERY reasonable priced when compared to other products with similar amounts of ingrediants. Particularly the Hylauronic Acid, this seems to be an expensive supplement.

The tabs smell a little odd and it took my K9 about 4 or 5 pills to acquire a taste for them. She now loves them and nearly bites my fingers off when I give the tabs. Possible a finicky eater may or may not like the taste. But I would imagine an average to good eater will devour the chewable tabs.

I LOVE this product and HIGHLY recommend it!!!

** Update: 2 years later my dog is now 9 1/2 yrs old and has been on Connectin for 4 years, and I couldn't be happier! Occasionally she gets a little sore after a long off-leash hike, but the soreness disappears within 24 hours, and that's on her normal dose of 1 pill daily. If I double her dose for a few days I can literally do anything with her experiencing no visible soreness. I couldn't be happier with this product. Also, when I spoke with my vet about pup's arthritis and if I should consider doing something else (different supplement or an injectable like Adequan), the vet said dog looked great and continue using the Connectin!

I started my 8 yr old dog on this after she sustained a shoulder injury. I tried several other joint formulas (cheaper, found at local pet stores) and just didn't see the results that we got with this. Our 16-yr-old Aussie x golden retriever mix had terrible arthritis, so bad that her back legs would quiver and give out on her when she'd go outside to go to potty. After about 2 weeks on Connectin, we saw a definite improvement and it continued for another month or so until she was able to start running around again and playing with the other dogs. She still got tired quickly -she was 16, after all -but her mobility was so much better that the vet wanted to know what we were doing so he could tell the other dog owners.

We have an Aussie x Border collie mix who also has some arthritis. She's 12 but has chronic kidney failure and cancer (chemodectoma on the aorta) so her general health isn't as good as the other dog's. Even so, we have seem good improvement in her mobility since we started giving her the Connectin; it just wasn't as striking as the other dog's.

We never had any trouble getting any of the dogs to take it and we've never seen any negative side effects from it.
