the bowl is deep enough for large dogs,. does not tip over. however the bowl will slide, they just follow it. : )

These bowls are cute but are too shallow and small for my Mini Schnauzer. For a small dog like mine these are OK for a food bowl since 1.5 cups of food fit in well but without much room to spare. However trying to carry water in this bowl is a nightmare, so shallow I spill water all over. And it doesn't hold much water.So I am returning this bowl and the ivory one like it.
I'm measuring the interior depth at 2" and width at 6.5".
I rated it 2 stars for cuteness, but forget using it as a water bowl.
