I have 2 feral cats and so I bought 2 cat houses. I worried about the open door blowing in snow and cold rain. I ordered 2 of these doors. One cat used it and loved it. The other cat wouldn't go in it. We cut it to make it easier to let the cat get in, but he still was afraid of it. I think it depends on the cat's mood if they'll use the door. They are awesome and really fit well on the house. Easy to install. I just think I had one smart cat and one stubborn cat.

It's a nice shelter for our outdoor cat that adopted us but it does leak. Rain does have a way of getting inside it, so I put in under our garage roof. I suppose that duct tape could be used to cover the slots. Styrofoam was added for insulation. Straw makes a warm bedding. I 've also evevated it off the ground.
