Like another reviewer, my dog recently had TPLO (knee surgery) and has to be confined for eight weeks. This is a really nice option over a closed crate, because it can be set up in the middle of the room. My dog has never managed to escape from this pen. However, the only awkward thing about it is that the door is raised (it almost looks upside down, but it's not). I simply remedied this by turning it the other way and it seems to work fine, though it does scrape on the carpet a bit. I have set up the pen in an octagon configuration and it offers plenty of room, yet still counts as "confinement". I think my dog would agree :)
I noticed that there were two sellers of this pen on Amazon the one for $175 includes free shipping; the one for $166 adds a ton for shipping ($60?).

I am a pro dog trainer, and do board and train dogs. I teach x pens, but needed something a bit bigger, sturdier and stronger, for the clients, not the dogs. Ha!This pen is perfect! I have waited years to find it, I have a lab/shepard mix in it, just perfect. I can go grocery shopping in peace. All my clients this week are buying one. See and want!
I love it because it flexeys around, If I have a client I can push it into the corner, and I can get extra panels.
Only downside, my 11 year old sheltie agility champion has trouble jumping 12 inches into the pen... she is a little stiff.
I am buying them from the local shop, same price, local support.
HINT, start with the door when constructing. door out!
wonderful!

The Precision Pet Courtyard is a perfect size match for my narrow side yard. Easy to assemble. Sturdy/heavy pieces. Had a hard time getting all the pieces to perfectly align on the top. That's why I did not assign 5 stars. Perhaps because I was setting up in pea gravel at a slight slope. Or, perhaps operator error. Or, maybe the hinges were a little off on each piece. So it doesn't have that super streamlined look, but everything fit, and this product serves its purpose with plenty of room for my mini poodle.Honest reviews on Precision Pet 38 in. I searched for weeks for an exercise pen but was disappointed with all the cheap kennels. This one caught my eye because each panel is framed with sturdy square tubing. The finish is elegant and the craftsmanship of the cage is better than I expected. It went together in less than 5 minutes and was a cinch. I especially like the walk through door that opens only the upper two-thirds of the panel, preventing the "escape" at my feet like other walk-thru doors on kennels. The latch on the door is small and unreliable. I will have to supplement it with something else, as jiggling and shaking can loosen it open. I'm not sure how it will do in the long run but it is well worth the money now.Update:
I have had it for more than a year now and have added panels to expand it. My dog has outgrown it, however, it is perfect for keeping her OUT of my garden. It still looks as good as the day I bought it. I can configure it it many ways, and it's tough. Worth EVERY penny!
Update, April 17, 2012
I have wired 1/4" hardware cloth to each panel and converted it to a chicken coop/pen. My dog outgrew it and my chickens have demolished all chances of gardening. The panels show some rust, but nothing bad. It has never been stored under dry cover and has been used assembled with a flat roof covered with a foot of snow. After 2 years of neglect and abuse, they are as sturdy as the day I bought them. LOVE this kennel! I'd buy another complete kit just for another door.

I am pleased with the overall concept and design of this product and I would have given it five stars. Unfortunately, I believe mine was delivered with a manufacturing defect. We recently purchased this product to contain our 9-week old German Shepherd pup who weighs about 10 pounds. After only one day of use, for no clear reason, the welds on the gate hinges broke. There was nothing at all unusual about the manner in which we used the gate and there should be no way that an awkward, 10-pound puppy should have been able to exert enough pressure on the door to cause the welds to snap.Because of the dimensions and weight of this product, plus our need to resolve the situation as soon as possible, we opted not to seek a return or exchange with the seller. Instead, I took it to a local welder who repaired the hinges for a nominal fee. The guy who did the work speculated that the original welds were intended to be temporary and that the assembler simply didn't complete the job.
I would have given the product 5 stars but the shoddy welding job from the manufacturer has kind of tainted my feelings on it.
