This whistle is quite audible to humans; made no impression on my dogs. Had it hanging around my neck for less than one hour and it disassembled at a screw and fell off, unbeknownst to me. I am left with my lanyard, the whistle's split ring, the aforementioned screw, and a sense of being taken for a fool. Would give it NO stars if that were an option...

From China, very small about 2 inches. NOT SILENT. Very high pitch easily heard by the user. My dog responds to it so that part works. Fell apart the 2nd day out and took me a 1/2 hour to find the main stem in the grass as it's so small. Would not buy again

The whistle comes unscrewed easily which makes it prone to getting lost if you attach it to anything by the ring.

I can't tell if it's ultra sonic, but you can hear the whistle and the dogs respond by raising their ears. Wouldn't they for any whistle?
