I just received the TRIXIE Dog Club House (XL). Fast delivery and no missing parts--despite of the box being somewhat banged up. First impression upon opening the box, besides the intoxicating and fragrant smell of cedar was the overall FLIMSINESS of its construction. The cedar panels which make up the walls and the floor are 1/4" thick! I look at my 70 lbs German shepherd. I contemplate her brutish juvenile tendencies and I only wonder how long will this dog house will last! I also wonder how well (and how long) will the cedar withstand NM high-altitude dryness. If you use a cordless drill to assemble the house, set it up on the lowest torque setting or you will crack the boards like an egg shell. The sturdiest part of the house is the roof/lid (with the rough green material for the beast to stand on). We gave it a try. As I commanded her to jump on it, I closed my eyes, crossed my fingers and offered a quick prayer. The house survived the first test! The beast looked amused from her new perch although she did not seem interested in staying there for too long. The house is quite spacious and it is very easy to assemble. One does not even need to read the instructions to slap it all together. Only time will tell and I will be quite glad to offer an update.

Frist one I got was so bad, Looked like 2 rolls of tape was used to hold it together. The House was smash, wood was broke in a few places as well. I ordered a replacement, just got it today.

Box was worse then the frist one, this house inside looked like it was put together & took apart a few times & the wood was broke & split in mutli places. I called & going to try a second replacement, we'll see how that goes.

UPDATE: I got the thrid one, Box was held together w/ only 1 roll of tape.

The hinges that hold the top on were ripped out & the wood was in 3 pieces.

A few large dents & cracks on a few parts, 3 of 3 all trash.

This dog house is very cheap the walls are bearly 1/4 in. The flooring is the same, For an X-large house a +60 LB. dog might break through the floor, The roof is thin as well, a mid-large dog might break though it if jumping on it.

People that gave this 5 stars must be using it inside the home or small dogs.

Needless to say I wouldn't get one of these.

THIS DOG HOUSE IS MADE VERY CHEAP FOR THE PRICE OF IT. WHEN YOU PUT IT TOGETHER THE BOTTOM FALLS OUT OF IT. THE BOARDS ARE NOT VERY STRONG AND THE PIECES THE BOTTOM BOARDS SIT ON ARE NOT NEARLY STRONG ENOUGH..

This doghouse looks even better in person. Easy to assemble. Nice and roomy! Looks great with my landscaping. I would recommend this for anyone with a large dog.
