We have a rescue toy poodle (eight pounds, ten inches at shoulder) with severe allergies. He is old, has arthritis, and is unsteady on his feet.
These socks fit him very well. They stay on better than most socks or shoes we have purchased without cutting off his circulation. He does occasionally lose one or more during the day but not as often as some other foot wear. They keep him from touching the grass/weeds which contribute to his itchy feet. They keep him from licking the skin off of his feet. Everyone who sees him in the socks, thinks they are adorable. He has not minded having to wear them.
However be warned the little paw print is only on one side of the sock. The socks will turn on your dogs feet. On tile floors (like mine) this creates a slipping hazard unless you modify the socks. We have found this to be a common problem with dog footwear.
I sewed a strip of rubber drawer liner all around the portion he might walk on. With the rubber he no longer slips no matter which way the sock turns. As an alternate which would not involve sewing you may be able to paint non-slip dots on the top and sides of the socks using liquid rubber electrical tape. I have not tried it but that should be similar to the traction paw prints which come on the socks.
Note: We liked them enough to buy a second set of the 12 socks.

Before this product, my dog also had cold and sore paws from walking on the floor and carpet at home especially durring winter. After I purchased these dog socks, no more problems. She is much more happier wearing her socks than to be without them. At first I was sure if my dog would take to wearing socks at all, but she is happy with them and if she sees them laying in her basket of items then she will take them out and bring them to put them on. Then stay on her paws without falling down and they wash well too. This a great product and I will buy more, thinking 3 or 4 more items of this. My dog just loves them so much that she even sleep in them. The only I take them off is when they dirty or well. Great product to keep your dog's paws warm and cozy in the winter or on cold summer nights.
