Squeakers have a short life expectancy in my household, so I was delighted to find that this mat of 16 was alive and well two weeks after purchase. Apparently having the squeakers in an array gives them some individual protection from folding/tugging/chewing/puncturing/seam-ripping.It is also entertaining to watch their surprised expressions when any dog or cat accidentally steps on the mat.

My dogs can tear up any plush toy with a squeaker. They love to get to the squeakers (essentially "killing" the toy) and they love to spread the stuffing all over the house.This toy is perfect for them! With 16 squeakers, it took them over a week to kill all the squeakers (instead of mere minutes with a normal toy), and my youngest dog would carry it around the house with him. And the best part is, there's no stuffing to clean up!
