Just makes hair go all over. When you turn on the fan it just scatters it more than takes it in.

I bought one at the Dollar Store and didn't realize it was to be used on the pet. Please, anyone with a cat knows better. However it is fantastic for picking up fur on furniture and clothes and takes care of tracking. Please do not use it on your pet as it is painful on bare skin and fur would make it much worse.

This thing is a piece of junk. It definitely does not work on cats. It is very loud, even though it says (quiet motor), according to what?!? A jet plane? I had more cat hair on me than what this collected in the canister. I tried using it very slow, but the cat hair just collected on the black knobs around the vacuum part. The "massaging nubs" are not gentle. It might be on a german sheppard, but definitely not a cat. I'm not sure my cat is ever going to speak to me again! Stick to a non-motorized groomer. I have hair brushes that do a better job.
