I think dressing up dogs is silly. However, since my Aussie's coat soaks up water I bought him this rain coat. It covers him. I love the added reflection. We almost got hit by a car once in the rain because it was dark. Now we are more visible. He enjoys longer walks now in the rain. Best of all when we come back to the house we don't have to spend a lot of time drying off him and everything else that he use to splatter with rain after shaking his coat or rubbing on my furniture.

I ordered this in a large, but I had to exchange it for a medium, I am going to try and upload a picture. They charge a restocking fee if you don'[t exchange, but if you exchange you still get caught on the shipping fee to get it back to them, but as I remember I did not pay the second shipping fee back to me. The coat is well made for an animal garment. The part in front keeps their chest dry as well from any splashing as they walk. My husband wipes her off when she gets home and he says she is always dry on the belly and hardly any mud. I do wash it in the laundry tub when she comes back, throw it in for a spin in the washer then hang it to dry on a hanger. Trying to keep it new looking. I ordered the yellow and the picture for yellow looks orange, but the color is a typical raincoat yellow, in other words closer to a school bus yellow, maybe a tad softer. My dog is a dachshund and shar pai mix with longer legs she weighs 28 pounds and if I can upload a picture you will be able to see her type. The picture I am going to upload she is wearing a gentle lead collar that goes on the face and a harness under the coat. The opening for the lead on the coat is really set for a collar as opposed to a harness, but it works okay.

By the way she gets lots of smiles on her walk when she wears this. At least from the people in the cars, dogs are another animal she goes nuts when she sees another dog coming or a squirrel going up a tree. That is why I keep a face collar and a harness on her, she is a virtual Houdini.

This is better than I expected for the price and does run small in size. Wife added a longer Velcro strap under it. Really shows up in the dark and main issue is that it does not protect the underside of the dog when walking on the grass, in the rain.
