this works fantastic. i have a yorkie who loves to be outside but also loves to take off. she can have the entire porch to roam but not get off of it. it's the perfect height and lightweight so can easily be moved by anyone coming up the stairs to the front door. it has many uses because of it's length and so easy to fold up and move around. my neighbor had one I originally saw, got it at petsmar....... and it was almost twice what i paid for this one. LOVE IT!!

This pen functions fairly well and provides the advertized space, but is made with light-weight wire and closes with wimpy looking clips. A decent size dog or one with a little motivation will be able to push this over easily. Small or obedient dogs will be fine. One benefit of the materials used is that it's easy to carry and move around. My other x-pen is made from mesh that is 2 to 3 times heavier gauge than this one. That is what I thought I was getting. This is one of those products that is better examined in person than just online.

For a "portable" cage for my Great Dane, this works great. It folds up small enough to fit in the back of my Beetle, but then opens wide enough that it fully encompasses my dog's bed with some room to spare. The design is simple and easy to setup and use, while being sturdy enough that a little wear-and-tear won't destroy it. Definitely not designed for a dog that really wants to escape, but then nothing is when your dog is large enough to need this size of a pen.

I wish I had chosen the one with the entry door though, it was kind of a pain to step over all the time. I also wish the pen had a bit more stability, it was easy for my lapdog sized puppy to push, scoot, and rearrange the configuration of the pen until I reinforced it with wooden dowels and weighted it down.
