For any of you who have struggled with powder formula products to stop the bleeding while trimming the nails of your dog and you accidentally hit the "quick" this product is for you. The Benzocaine is an added bonus because it provides pain relief as well. I will never use powder blood stoppers for my dogs again now that I have this gel product.

This is the best stuff for stopping toe nail bleeds. The powders that are available just can't do the job and over time the powder clumps and hardens. This gel is always ready to go. It can be messy and will stain so be careful. But other than that, it is wonderful.
Best Deals for Kwik Stop Gel
I purchased these along with a set of clippers. I was so nervous, never having clipped my dog's nails before and kept this at the ready. I have to say, I nicked the kwick on the very last nail and it started bleeding a tiny amount. I grabbed this product and applied it and held a towel to it and within about 30 seconds the bleeding had stopped so I'm really pleased with this stuff.

We cut our dogs' nails every 1 to 2 weeks and occasionally cut too close normally we use the Kwik-Stop powder but I decided to give this gel a try. Not my best idea. The powder soaks up the blood and clots it (and like this gel, it also has benzocaine for numbing), while this gel is just messy. By its gel nature, it doesn't soak up the blood like the powder does, and if it clots it takes way longer than the powder does. The squeeze bottle for the gel makes it easy to apply, but the gel doesn't work as well for us as the powder does for clotting the tip of the nail.
