My dog had recently gotten hip surgery and had a wire crate but too small and heavy. Not convenient to carry around when needed. So got this one and its plenty big. My dog is a golden, plenty of room to spread out.

Like the ease if take down and put up. Like that it has side door/window and end door/window. Also like that it has a top zippered window to pet and provide more air circulation.

The only thing not happy about is that I have already torn a hole in the window fabric from a move. So just be careful when folding and moving and you'll be fine! Also watch if u get a dog that likes to scratch at the windows!

I have a 100 pound puppy, and travel crates are too small for him. This crate is very easy to set up and folds up very nicely into carrying case when it is not needed, saving a lot of space. I was able to fit it in my 2-Door car easily and take it with when traveling with my puppy on my last trip out of town. This is a very, very large crate and could easily accomodate 2 of my dogs which is nice because I can add his food/water bowl, an additional bed (comes with a small one already), and many of his toys and he still has plenty of room to move around comfortably. After the firt trip, it held up no problem, all the materials seem very durable, and the quality is very good.

Highly recommended for people looking to travel with Large or multiple animals!

I bought this for use with my Great Dane. This product works very well. It is light weight and easy to transport. Once I got the technique of how to collapse it, I can do it very quickly. I'm also very happy with all the compartments available to store useful items.

Honest reviews on Dogit Deluxe Soft Crate with Bag for Pets, XX-Large, Blue

If you have a really large dog (larger than a Golden Retriever), you will love this soft crate. My dog is one of the largest breeds and he fit comfortably in this crate for an overnight stay at a friend's house. This is not a small crate and it takes up a lot of room so be sure it will fit where you want it to be. I was concerned as to whether my dog would "chew" his way out as I had read about other soft crates; but, no problem. This is a sturdy "canvas type" of material, not a soft nylon (and apparently it did not occur to him to "chew his way out"). Even though it "folds up", it folds flat, not small, so it is somewhat hard to handle, but it fits flat in the trunk of my car. Overall, a good purchase and I would recommend it to other people for their large breed pets.

But I've only bought three others.

Two were like those pop-up laundry collectors that department stores sell. If you know what I'm talking about, this Dogit Deluxe is NOT like the alleged laundry crates.

This one arrives folded flat, just like those Midwest Stages wire crates. The only difference is that this one comes in a case/bag, so you have to take it out first. (Beware, lots of toggles and zippers and panels and pockets on both bag and crate, so if you're in a relatively dark room, you might grapple with the item for a few minutes (cough).

The only other difference (ok, the grappling thing is more a warning than a difference) is the way one assembles this vs the wire crates. In this assembly, you pull up the heavy canvas covering and find two metal tubes that end up arranged end-to-end, and secured with a rubbery grip thing that slides over the butted ends.

I have to be very honest, I'm concerned about the longevity of that particular element of the crate, but as it only arrived last night, I can't yet comment about its actual performance over time.

Ok, next up... The shape of the doorway. I have a big problem with the doorway, or should I say, the lip built into the frame. Very basically, it prevents the dog or dogs from laying down like Anubis with arms out in front (and outside of the crate) and the other half of the dog inside of the crate.

I know what you're thinking. "Um, doesn't your every-day wire crate have something preventing that Anubis thing?"

Yes, it surely does. But. The wire crates generally have those plastic trays that break after a month, so the dog could not sit half-inside anyway. Furthermore, the folding wire crates require a support that isn't the bottom of the door itself, or else the door couldn't open.

With this Dogit crate, that requirement of support isn't there.

Of course, it is what it is, and I am pleased with the product itself, and the quality that may be assessed at this early date. Time will tell whether or not I am pleased with the durability of the product, of course, and of course I shall come back to report on that matter.

Is it worth $200 and change? Probably not. Well, not if you think this can replace a wire crate (hah, it sure won't in my case, for I have two rescued border collies with OCD and ADHD), I should say.

But for the current purpose (traveling, then supervised sequestering), i suppose it's worth it .. To me, anyway (for there's no way I'm bringing both their wire crates on a semi-road trip!).

Oh, if you get this, make sure to get a cushiony crate pad, especially if your babies are big; my baby boy is 45ish lbs and his little sister is five lbs lighter, and without the cushion, they both looked decidedly uncomfortable, as though they could feel the wire bottom through the thin mat provided.

One last thing, if the babies are jumpy, especially with things lots taller than they are (my girl is like that, but her big bro is a bit bolder), make sure to let THEM approach IT, instead of trying to toss a treat in there and thinking that'll suffice for their acclimation to the scary blue cavern. As of now, he is fine walking in and out of the Dogit, whereas she is still in the stage where she grabs a treat from in there if she can reach it from outside. (I might just need to post a video of that, it's so cute, lol).

Anyway, best wishes to all you humans reading this... And to the dogs that own you :)
