A boon to potty training puppy and keeps the heat in. Matches well with white vinyl frame sliding door (79.5 inch standard height).

Easy to install, you just push the spring loaded top into track and swing the bottom in, then tighten height knobs on top. Hardest part of installation was prep-removing the old lock hardware from inside our door frame (not the pet panel's fault). Like others I did add extra weatherstripping. Unlike the panels at hardware store that have a single plastic flap with big gaps (not ok in a cold climate), this one sealed so tightly at first it was hard for me or the puppy to push it open. I slid out the bottom magnet from the pet flap and just left the side ones and works fine now, still seals well.

Height of the step-thru is adjustable, nice for growing dog. The sliding plastic cover for the flap is sturdy and to lock we also use a bar in the slider track as others mentioned. You can get express delivery if you call the company.

We purchased the Patio Pacific Thermo Panel IIIe and are very happy we did. The door is exceptionally well made, heavy and was easy to install. From the time we took it out of the box to installing it in the door frame it took less than 20 minutes. Unlike other doors that we have had, the door cover on this door is sturdy and the magnets keep it closed. The door cover does not move unless our dog pushes against it. Since our slider only slides on one side this door also makes it easy to be able to open the slider for us to go through without having to take the doggie door out. If you do need to remove the doggie door it is easily done and takes only a few minutes. We do use an adjustable sliding bar lock to keep the doors secure. We would definitely recommend this door for all size pets.

I have owned two of these panels and they are well worth the cost. I think they paid for themselves within the first year of use due to the marked reduction in heat loss (or gain in summer). The hinged double panel flap is extremely durable and seals well due to the magnets along the side. Even a strong Texas breeze will not blow this open. The hinged flap design protects the panel from tearing as the cheaper predecessor to this door did within a year. The door is extremely easy to install as well as adjusting the height of the door within the frame. All in all a well built product. Worth every penny.

I live in a cold winter state and I can leave in year round. Magnet on the door is strong and my dog loves his freedom. The door is pricey but well worth it. The glass is large and door perfect to keep out the winter cold and summer heat!
