it was too small for my 9lb. dog. I had a medium for my 15 lb dog and it fit good. I figured a small would fit my shih-zsu but is was too small, couldn't hardly get it over her head.

Bought this for my mini dapple dachshund if you follow the measurements that you can find on the supplier's website, you will be able to get a harnass that fits properly. It is soft, and easy to put on. The straps are very soft and easily adjustable so this harnass will fit around my dog's torso. My dachshund didn't like it because it stopped her from running away at full speed, but I liked it because it didn't cause her to choke herself. I bought a small for my dog, and bought a medium just in case. I gave the medium to a friend that has a full size dachshund, and it fit her dog perfectly. This harnass was also the best price and best quality for any harnass I was able to find on the Internet, or at any local pet supply place. The vendor also sent a discount coupon for any other item I may have wanted to buy directly on his website.
