I've had this for about a year now and has been holding up really well. We've been keeping it outdoors in our patio area by our sliding door. My dog is a 13lb Chihuahua/Pom mix. It's a little too roomy for her but overall it's still a good fit for her. There's a doggie pillow we threw inside to make it extra comfortable. She likes to jump on the top so we placed a little doggie blanket so she can relax up there too. The bottom raised part has not been an issue. It's high enough to where rainwater does not reach it. This was the only house I could find that ensures some shade inside the house at certain hours of the day. I'm glad I purchased it for my happy dog!

First of all this small size doghouse is only big enough for the small breeds of dogs. I bought it to use as a house for my outdoor cat and it fits one cat that weighs about 15 pounds, nicely. It has a nice front porch for additional weather protection, which is why I bought it. It looks like a miniature log cabin. The walls and roof are high quality and very nice. NOW FOR THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS.... The floor is useless. It's made of nice wood, however the way it goes together is stupid. The floor is in 2 pieces that dovetail together, however there is no center support do if any weight is put on the center of the floor, it caved in. We easily remidied this with 2 street bricks laid flat underneath. Problem solved. I wouldn't pass up this really nice house just because of the floor issue, but be prepared to place 2 street bricks under for a brace or the poor dog will fall through. Other than that adjustment, I love it!
