I have used this product on my two dogs for years. When I first got my second dog he was a rescue and his teeth were terrible. I couldn't afford a dentist vet, so I started using this product and with in 6 months I reduced using it once a week. His teeth were really clean and his breath was great. I still use it maybe every other week now. I use my finger and spread it over their teeth at night and don't let them have any water until morning. The gel works into their teeth and gums overnight with their own saliva. LOVE IT>..

My dachshunds are very compliant and enjoy teeth brushing time, but they hate this product and cringe when I come near them with the toothbrush and gel from this kit. I feel it's the mint smell and taste they strongly dislike. They also dislike the toothbrush. They have had no issues getting their teeth brushed with other products I have used. I was very disappointed, so were they.

My dog didn't like the actual toothbrush but didn't mind the finger brush. I did buy this set for the advanced design of the brush so would recommend trying the finger brush first instead of springing for the set. I have a 5lb Morkie and the finger brush fits her mouth pretty well. She doesn't mind the taste of the gel so that was a plus. She doesn't like to have her teeth brushed but she will let me do it. I feel better knowing I am being proactive in her care. Chews and dry dog food helps with tarter buildup but even with those a dog can have plaque so I feel brushing is the best way to keep them healthy and avoid the costly dental cleanings that can be hard on small dogs especially.

I have mother and daughter Malteese.The mother suffered from gum disease 5yrs ago.I used Plac Blast and it worked in 1 month..she was a bad case.Even though Plac Blast worked,I decided to try Tropiclean for the daughter.I had no or maybe minimal results.Her teeth looked awful.I used it for 2 1/2 months religiously.Well,I will stick with what I know works for me.

The entire item is very nice with the finger toothbrush, the long toothbrush, and the paste. My dogs don't seem too keen on the taste. Hopefully, it will start to freshen their breath a bit better than just the plain Minties.
