I got this for myself last christmas. The frame is beautiful, it was very easy to use, and the directions were clear. Actually, I think the hardest part was getting my dog to stand in the clay and make a clear imprint !!

The best thing about this frame is the forever pawprint. I lost my dog to cancer about 4 months after I did his pawprint...while loosing him was (and still is) heartbreaking, it is great to see his face smiling and his paw print in this beautiful frame forever...it was very helpful to have this great framed memory as his death was quick and unexpected.

Our lab-retriever mix just turned 14, so we got this as a way to document him while he's still with us! The product is well made and the instructions straightforward, and we are pleased with the end result. My only "complaints": the background we were sent to stick the imprint to was *pink*, not black, and while the imprint material could be remolded numerous times to get a good print (which was needed with a squirmy dog), the material didn't imprint as well over the repeated attempts. Minor issues I'd still recommend this product!

I purchased 2 frames for my 2 golden retreivers to give as a present to their Mom. They are very attractive and we know Mom would approve of the ebony color. From reading other reviews I was worried about making the impression, but found that part was the easiest. The putty kneads quickly and is easy to shape into a rectangle. After seeing that my 2nd impression turned out better than the 1st I re-kneaded the 1st one and did it again w/o any problem. The tricky part is getting the mold into the right thickness to fit in between the glass and the backing w/o smashing flat. Also the scotch square provided to stick it to the backing doesn't stick to the mold material at all. It was very difficult to get the mold into the proper thickness and to secure it adequately. I ended up w/ one impression held in by being pressed against the glass and the other was secured w/ double sided tape.

You also need to be aware that the most common photos you likley have are in landscape format, not the portrait format of the product which makes it a bit more difficult to use your favorite photo.

Once you get everything assembled it looks great, but it takes some patience.

I used this product for two dogs. The product was easy to use, and I would like to add that it is important to follow the directions. The hardest part was talking the dogs in to it. It took more than one try on each dog, but I was able to redo until I got a great print.
