We bought this house because we liked the look and functionality with the porch. Our dog doesn't like to be caged and we thought this would be more open for him and still keep him protected from the weather. Unfortunately we experienced some difficulty with the order. The first order was received (2 boxes) damaged and pieces missing. Some of the wood was split, chunks of wood were missing off the main structure pieces, and all the smaller connecting pieces were not there. Customer service representative was very nice and we returned the item via UPS and a replacement order was initiated. When we received the second order the next day, one of the boxes was damaged, but the items seemed to be intact. The directions were easy enough to put the house together. It took about half an hour to completely assemble it. We were very unhappy with overall craftsmanship of the unit for the price paid. We would not recommend this item to future customers.

We've had this dog house for almost 3 months. We are happy with our purchase and so is our dog. He is able to sit on the porch, out of the elements, and still enjoy the view. Our dog is a lab mix weighing about 40 pounds and he has plenty of room inside to stretch out an relax. The construction is sturdy. My husband assembled it with very little trouble. I think this was a good value for our money.

Ordered this dog house and the package arrived today but after unpacking I realized that not all the parts had arrived. Upon closer inspection the manufacturer's label says in big bold letters "Package 2 of 2". UPS tracking only indicates one box was shipped. So call Amazon customer service and tell them about the missing box. They tell me that only one box comes with particular item. I offer to send them a photo of the box showing otherwise but they say they have no way to find the missing box. They offer to send me another one in hopes that two boxes will arrive on the next shipment and I can send the one incomplete box back. If you order this product and only one box arrives please don't unpack it. Otherwise repacking it and returning it will be quite difficult. I'll let everyone know what happens with the second shipment.
