Really like it. My dog stands out now. She has a real regal look about her and even plays the role herself.

I am a veterinarian with 7 years experience, and I have 3 Great Danes. I am always looking for safe, effective, fun, and innovative new pet products. I saw the video for this product, and definitely agree that carrying a pocketful of crumbling treats isn't much fun for training/rewards, so decided to give it a try. All 3 of my girls tried to bite the bottle at first (and I think most dogs will), but within a few seconds, all of them figured it out, and were licking away very happily, each taking their turn sitting down for me. I also recently used it to help keep them standing still while my 8 year old daughter gave them baths outside with the hose on a nice warm day....much less mess than doing it in the tub inside! It was also handy when we went for a short hike at a local park a while back, as I am training the 2 younger Danes to wear backpacks (that's a whole other story!). Even if the dogs jump in the river wearing their backpacks and get them soaked, their treats won't get soggy. The only thing I would like to see is using a liquid treat that's maybe a bit healthier for them...the ingredient list on the Lickety Stik looks like a lot of processed stuff. It does have a bit of an odor, too, but I didn't find it that strong or offensive like some of the other people here did. And I think it's the odor that really draws the dogs to come check it out...otherwise, why would they want to just lick a plastic roller ball?
Also, I think it would be nice to have a bottle that is just a little bit larger for the large/giant breeds like mine...but this does work well regardless. Finally, I think it would be great to have a refillable bottle, so there would be less waste...500 licks goes fast when you're training 3 big dogs!
Oh, and yes, I will re-order this, and do recommend it.
Since neither of my 2 dogs can write about this new Lickety Stik, I will do my best.
A new idea for treats is always welcomed. We had 3 flavors of Stiks, Bacon, Chicken and Liver. We tried all three on both Sundae and Casey. Sundae licked all three and seemed to like them all. Casey, however, wouldn't try any of the three, just turning his head in apparent disgust (lol). Having had dogs my whole life, you never can tell what a dog will like or dislike. I didn't give this 5 stars, because of some functional reasons, not because Casey didn't even try it. First, the lick ball is exactly like a deodorant ball. As a matter of fact, the container reminds me of an Arrid Rollerball Deodorant bottle exactly. It doesn't move freely by just licking, you have to gently squeeze the bottle for the liquid to be available to the dog. If you squeeze too hard, it drips onto the floor. Other than that, it seems to be enjoyable. It is supposed to be healthy, but I had to use a magnifying glass to read the rather small label.
The video is one of our taste tests. Hope you enjoy it.
Update July/September 2012: Sad to say both my beautiful puppies in this video have passed on. They were both 12 years old.
It's been several weeks of using it and there is still a ton of licking left, definitely getting my moneys worth out of this treat.
Another thing that has been nice is the ability to keep this in my pocket without making a mess. So going for a walk with it has been nice (and a great way to keep his attention when there are other not well behaved dogs around).
UPDATE -
Well the puppy dog has spoken... he loves Lickety Stik!
When we first presented it to him he was a bit unsure and tried to bite the stick which was kind of cute but he quickly realized he had to lick it.
Now every time the Lickety Stik comes out as a reward or to teach him something, he just can't wait to lick the bejesus out of it.
Not only does the dog love it and responds really well to it, it's made in the USA!
This is a very unique, clean, easy to use, easy to carry, and fun treat for your dog. I would highly recommend this to most anyone. Way to go PetSafe!

Izzy, our mini schnauzer, is very food motivated. Schnauzers have a tendency to get chunky though, so rewarding her with food every time she does a trick is a balancing act between giving her something she likes but not having her snack with treats all day.
At 1 calorie per 10 licks, along with a fun interactive way to give her the treat, the lickety safe is fun and healthy. She had no trouble at all figuring out how to lick the deodorant like ball. This would also be a nice travel treat in the car because it closes up and you don't need to get treat on your fingers to give it to the dog.

My trainer gave the Lickety Stick to me to use as a tool for distraction for my Standard Poodle, Billy. I loved this product and it worked well with him for several years. Two weeks ago, I was sitting in the car with Billy. Someone walked too closely to the car and anticipating Billy's barking, I quickly pulled out the Lickety Stick. Billy took a few licks, then popped the roller ball top off the bottle and swallowed it. We drove immediately to the vet, who told us she would not consider retrieving the ball because of possible damage to his throat. She was also concerned about bowel obstruction. We spent a week worrying about Billy, but he eventually barfed up the ball. I am thankful he didn't have to endure surgery. The Lickety Stick had been a great tool for us, but I cannot recommend it to anyone because of the possibility of the roller ball popping off.Monday, July 21, 2014

Best Classic Sherpa Dog Boot Deals
I followed the instructions on how to measure, but the boots were WAY too small. I bought them for my young pitbull, but they wouldn't even fit my pug. They are absolutely adorable, so if you buy these, try going with 1-2 sizes larger than you think you need
I wouldn't not suggest this product to anyone, ever.

So perfect for my disabled dog, I always get these, about 2 packs every year, and they come so quickly from the states and Im in the UK.Best Deals for Classic Sherpa Dog Boot
Upon opening the dog shoes, I noticed that the seams on two of the four shoes were broken. so I sewed them up, and tried to put them on my dog. Her paw size matched perfectly the size chart on the package (matching the size we ordered), but wouldn't fit right in any of the shoes. Her feet wouldn't sit at the bottom of the shoe, and when she would take a few steps the shoes would come off.I wouldn't not suggest this product to anyone, ever.

I purchased this crate cover and my room transformed. Before it was just a dog cage & now the crate is a part of my decor. My dog loves her little retreat. I am very pleased with the construction and fabric quality and realize it would have been a job to construct myself. I made a great choice in purchasing this crate cover. I really like this. It needs a little ironing when you pull it out of the package but it fits the crate perfectly. Wish they made them in extra small too.

Buy ASL Solutions DP Hunter Insulated Dog House
I bought this, had great customer service on it plus it is very well constructed. It has great insulation with two small viewing windows. Excellent insulated hole for adding electrical cord/heater. The swing door is very unique. I was impressed & am using it for feral cats during the winter. I installed a safe heater called "Sweeter Heater" inside on the ceiling & first lined the entire inside with thin silver insulation roll, mounted with picture hanger adhesive to make it warmer. To get the feral cats inside, initially I proped the swing door open & had a small blanket. Later cats were so used to it, they pushed right in the swing door. With a digital thermometer the temperatures with the heater on a 20 degree Michigan day with door closed was 65 degrees. When very windy, frigid blowing snow below zero this house with heater on was 45 degrees. If you buy a thermocube, it will shut off the heater when outside temp is over 40 but at times I'd prop open the swing-door. Feral cats have thick fur in winter, don't like it too warm. If you buy a thermometer with inside read, you can tell when the cats are inside because their body heat makes the temp rise. I ended up buying two of these DP Hunter houses with heaters because cats were fighting to blood over the one house. When below freezing, they always show up. Electric water and food dishes extra provided. If you don't want to buy a heater you can probably pack the back of the house with hay. I would highly recommend this product.
Installation? Not much at all. It's as simple as taking the unit out of the box, screwing a few screws and ba da boom ba da bing, you're done. 5-10 minutes, tops, even if you're an idiot, like me (not).
Customer Service? Well assuming you have to use customer service, know that they are quick and friendly. Mine was missing one of the two windows, I emailed the issue to ASL Solutions (the company who (claims) to make this house) and they shipped me the windows the next day.
So should you buy? Simply put, yes, but only if you have money. Well let's put it this way; if your dog is primarily an outside dog and you live in an area that experiences any type of extreme weather, be it hot or cold, this is the dog house for you. Quality, lives up to owners expectations, and the dogs love it. As long as my dog doesn't start selling units of her house to other squirrels for their nuts, I'm continually satisfied.
looks nice. I think it is perfect. I don't think a big dog would fit in it, medium would work.
I have 3 of these. The older houses look just like the new and I have had them for 2 or more years.

This is the BEST investment I have made for my dogs. It truly keeps them several degrees cooler/warmer than the weather outside the house. Don't let the price scare you. It is well-made, easy to clean, has small vent windows that can be open/closed for changing seasons, drain hole in bottom, etc. I use a heated pet mat in the house and my pug and weiner dog stayed toasty outside all winter long in below-freezing temps at times. Definitely worth the money. It is nearly three years old now and doing great.Best Deals for ASL Solutions DP Hunter Insulated Dog House
So at the moment I'm still trying to talk my dog into letting me sleep inside her insulated dog house, but so far, she's been adamant. Seriously tho, this house is the real deal. It has a quality feel, and it is as perfect as it can get as far as size goes, if you have a beagle or similar size dog that is. It took less than a day for my dog to learn how to use the door which is similar to a dog door found on some homes. And that is an accomplishment from my point of view, as my dog is no pinky and the brain, jump through fire lit hoops smart dog. You push to go in or out which an average or below average intelligent dog (mine hehe) can learn quickly.Installation? Not much at all. It's as simple as taking the unit out of the box, screwing a few screws and ba da boom ba da bing, you're done. 5-10 minutes, tops, even if you're an idiot, like me (not).

My dog developed SARDS (sudden acute retinal degeneration syndrome or something like that) so basically she went blind in a very short time period. She is only 5 so we wanted to get her some toys so she could still play fetch. This toy is fabulous for blind dogs. It is the perfect size for her (she is around 25 lbs but could also work for a larger dog) and it makes 3 quacking noises so we can push the button, throw the toy, and she can still play fetch even though she can't see anymore. It has made her so happy because she always loved to fetch toys when she could see. I will be buying more Multipet toys to see what else she loves!
To our surprise this Ducky sounds exactly the same. And our dog loves chewing and yelling (err...barking) at his dear old friend again. No other dog can toss up their beloved friend in the air like ours can. No other pup can literally chew out their friend for talking back to him (or quacking I should say). This ducky may not be made of rubber, but he's definitely The One!

I first found this duck at Petco, or I should say my dog first found it there. This was his absolute favorite toy, and when it finally wore out he was heartbroken. I was happy to find this available here. It's STILL his favorite toy. He loves making it "talk". But be warned, you will eventually be tempted to take it away for a while so you won't have to hear "QUACK quack quack quack" every 30 seconds!Best Deals for Multipet's Look Who's Talking Plush Duck 5-Inch Dog Toy
Ducky (as we have named this cute fuzzy little thing) makes the most memorable quacking sounds all dogs will love. For our pup, this quacking sound is his warm fuzzy. His very first Ducky made this same sound, but of course we had to put that Ducky away (RIP). Then I came across this miniature sized look a like friend; I had to buy it. Even if it meant the quacking sound may not be the same. I had to because my pup would relentlessly look for Ducky when his cruel mama and dad would mimic the memorable quacking sounds of his dear lost friend. Oh the torture! To our surprise this Ducky sounds exactly the same. And our dog loves chewing and yelling (err...barking) at his dear old friend again. It is extremely cute and alot of fun. I was expecting my beagle to destroy this eventually but not within the first hour of having it. It was scary when my dog did open it up because of the sharp plastic pieces and wires that control the sound. I ended up ripping out the sound box myself in pieces and gave the dog back the stuffed duck body.Sunday, December 15, 2013
Nylabone Double Action Football Dental Chew Dog Toy Reviews
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $21.99
Sale Price: $11.69

The Nylabone descriptions in Amazon leave alot to be desired; most don't indicate the size of the bone. I wanted a hybrid hard/soft bone appropriate for my 60lb Golden Retriever. Some of the reviews I read indicated that the nylabone product they received was too small for their dog, so I searched hard for a bone that was large. This bone (model NTG705P) is a little to big and heavy for my dog. She chews on it, but it is difficult for her to pick up, and it drops with a loud crack.
My lab will chew on and through anything and for some reason he's not as excited about chewing on this toy. Eventually he was excited to play with it but he doesn't hoard it the way he does his other chew toys. Maybe it's just him and not the toy.
As far as durability it's great, my mega chewer hasn't made any marks and you can tell that it's good for his teeth and gums. I wish I'd bought this earlier for him!

I bought this toy to keep my heavy chewing german shepherd busy. It worked great until he spent some time on the rubber "teeth" in the middle. If you dog tries hard enough, he will be able to rip the rubber apart and leave it on your floor for you. I still use the toy, but only when I can monitor. Once he gets going on the rubber, I take it away.Best Deals for Nylabone Double Action Football Dental Chew Dog Toy

We have a lab that will eat through anything and this has been the best toy for her. She has hardly made it through any of the blue rubber and would rather chew on the hard white ends that don't break off anyway.
