This chain is far, far heavier than the 3mm Guardian Gear chain I previously ordered (maybe twice as heavy). Depending on your dog's overall build and weight, it might be too heavy for a 15-16" neck. We have a broad-chested Boston Terrier with a very athletic build, and I thought he would tip forward due to the weight (j/k, lol). I ended up having to return it because it was oversized for him and unnecessarily heavy, but it is otherwise a very high quality chain.
