It's a dog bed, not a new car. It's soft and washable and hasn't killed my dog. I think it's fine.

On the bottom of the bed it is just a thin layer of the fuzzy material, no padding what so ever. It is really soft and plush but for $25 I expected it to be more comfortable for my dog.

I like this bed, but it is not what I thought. I thought it would be padded, but only the sides are padded. Still, our kitten loves it. It seems like it will be easy to clean and it is really, really soft.

I wanted some easily washable beds for my senior cat. These are just the right size to put in his favorite places with a bed pad under them, and not too thick to toss in the washer if there is an accident. The bolster keeps him comfy and in the middle of the pad.
