Bought 3 of these a few months ago. My 70-pound puppy was tearing the house apart and chewing everything he could get his paws on (I have a 20 year old Bose radio, and I had to buy so many replacement remotes that Bose cancelled my orders and accused me of being an unauthorized retailer!). My boy is still on the FIRST bone. I slip some cheese in the hole (or lightly spray with butter Pam and let dry) whenever he starts to get bored with it. Absolutely excellent product that has saved my sanity.

This seems to be made of a type of artificial bone that crumbles into little round pieces. Perfect if your dogs get bleeding gums/other injuries from regular bones. Would have given this product a 4 star but they did not warn me that the bone was re-engineered or changed in some artificial manner so that it breaks off in these tiny little round bits. Their description reads femur but it's unlike any femur I have ever purchased over the years. Lack of cut gums is a good thing but I am concerned about what is in that bone that makes it crumble like that. The enticement for dogs is the gel filling which they just love. Well this bone will be a challenge to any super chewer my very large Great Pyrenees mix still hasn't chewed through this bone after a month of working on it hours every week but he did crack it and chew off the ends. He usually goes through a large bone w/in 1-3 hours. So this bone is amazing but I am not sure I will buy it again due to the misleading advertising.

if you have dogs that chew eat anything you buy them in one day, well no more, i have 5 dogs this has last them for months, fun for them, keeps them busy. and happy. great price than store bought.
