This is the worst flea season we have ever had. Our outside pets have been coated and the inside pets have had a few, which has not happened in at least 12 years. We have tried the expensive vet prescribed stuff, local pet store stuff, and every home remedy I could find on the net. THIS KILLED THE FLEAS WHEN NOTHING ELSE WOULD! We use it with Little City Dogs Flea Control and Diatemaceous Earth (in the yard and house) as well as planting rosemary, lavendar, mint, citronella, and using cedar chips for mulch. I actually caught some fleas, put them in containers with Sevin and other flea insecticide sprays with ingredients equal to Frontline and Advantage... they survived! It was a wonderful feeling after giving my babies this product to actually witness the fleas dying on my 3 cats and 5 dogs. Now, fleas will keep appearing as the cuurent eggs, larvae, coccoons work their way through the life cycle BUT by using the flea killer and controller dilligently, with fingers crossed, once you survive this life cycle (which could take a year because of dormant eggs) any fleas that do get on your pets will become sterile so slip your pet a flea killer capsule and bye bye fleas. Remember to continue to flea comb your pets so you will know when the adults are there and when it is necessary to give a killer capsule. This company has fabulous support as well. I contacted them with questions and they got back to me the same day and it was a Sunday. I contacted them again about needing help with visiting pets, once again, same day solution! I hope to be dealing with this company for many years. THANK YOU LITTLE CITY DOGS FOR BEING PET OWNERS AND UNDERSTANDING OUR NEEDS!

Whoever coined the phrase "multiply like rabbits" had clearly never witnessed what a couple of fleas in love are capable of. My house and pets got invaded last Fall and like a lot of the other reviewers here, I've tried just about everything short of burning the house down to get rid of them. They aren't just immune...they party like rockstars all over each different product I try (including food grade Diatomaceous Earth). Side note on DE it works, but just too slowly to break the cycle IMO but it's an excellent dewormer when used as a food supplement, and if your pets have fleas, they almost surely have worms.

Enter the nitenpyram (killer) capsules...sprinkled in the food, fed the dogs, and waited. About 20 minutes later, dozens and dozens of fleas had eaten their Last Supper and were coming to the surface of the dogs to repent before meeting their maker. Now I don't know how long it actually takes for them to die because I'm just not patient enough. They were moving so slowly, staggering around like drunks at closing time, so I took the opportunity to simply pluck them off and drown them in soapy water while shouting "Who's your mama?!" But they do die, as I found many the next morning had died and dropped off the dogs onto their bedding. I plan to use these capsules every other day until the lufenuron (control) capsules have had time to break the life cycle.

If you happen to find them on the floor, post-pet drop but pre-death, you'll see what I mean about the breakdancing they do a badazz version of the Turtle!

I read the other reviews I was skeptical, I will tell you this I gave my boxer 1 pill as directed by the instructions the fleas started moving and jumping off him in less than 20 minutes and the ones that were still on him were going crazy or already dead, the only side affect once the fleas started moving he was going in circles rubbing to try to stop the itching for about 15 minutes. An hour later I laid him on his back and could not find a live one on him. He is 10 years old and never had fleas till friday, before the pill I did the flea shampoo's bought Bio spot which is garbage after he came out of the tub I put the bio spot on him treated and changed all bedding, treated the couches chairs and his pet beds and rugs he lays on treated the floors with a flea spray. The next morning he went out to go pee he came in and was covered with fleas again I went to the local pet store they suggested a spray that could be used and would not affect the bio spot called de flea, garbage I sprayed it directly on the fleas and they just ran away not dying. I was desperate so we gave him another flea bath that night and in the morning same thing he went out and was covered with fleas so I went to Amazon and bought this pill and tonight 6 1/2 hours later not a live flea on him hopefully the spot treatment kicks in soon but it's good to know I have the pills to fall back on in the meantime. Awesome product !!!

This year we actually have fleas. This very rarely happens, and apparently they're super bionic fleas, because Frontline Plus isn't doing squat. I was going to buy some Capstar and I saw this stuff, which is supposedly the same active ingredient but a lot cheaper. I figured I'd give it a try, and worst case scenario I was out $15. I was a bit nervous since it has some bad reviews, and some speculation that the positive reviews are fakes. It came in the mail today and I gave each of my 3 dogs a capsule. I checked them a few hours later, and the fleas were all either dead or gone. They'd been pretty well infested; it was gross and our dogs come in the house a lot. Ick! I don't know why this didn't work for some people, but it definitely worked for us.

BEWARE: Look at the little white box. They are packaged wrong. I bought the pack for large dogs and the little box said it was for small dogs and cats. They sent me the 12mg inside a 57mg box. No wonder it doesn't work for some....and the box only had 12 capsules instead of the 14 that are supposed to be for the larger dogs.
